TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ACQUIRED SKILLS ZAMFARA SC,

The Zamfara State Coordinator Alhaji Abdulsalam Alhassan has advised Corps Membérs to take advantage of the Skills they acquired during the service year,to be gainfully employed.

He noted that jobs are getting scarce by the day,there skills acquired,along with the advantage to access loans through financial institutions collaborating with NYSC,should enable the out going Corps Members to settle down quickly.

He frowned at youths getting involved in fraudulent acts such as yahoo-yahoo,other financial get rich schemes, "therefore no matter how small you start,you can make it big,with discipline and dedication"he advised.

These admonishings were given during the distribution to deserving Corps Members of 2022 Batch 'B' stream 11.

"AVOID SCAM IN YOUR SEARCH FOR EMPLOYMENT"

The Zamfara State Coordinator Alhaji Abdulsalam Alhassan has admonished Corps Members from getting involved in vices such as Advance fee fraud and getting involved in Scamming people just to be employed.

He further adviced them to put into practice all they learnt from the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development training to be gainfully employed and also employ others.

He made the above charge at the Distribution of Certificate of National Service to deserving Corps Members of 2022 Batch B stream,who passed out today.

He also appreciated them for their disciplined conduct through out the service year.

The highlight was the sample collection of certificate by three Corps Members namely,Hamza Musa,ZM/22B/0031 ,Bulus Rababu ZM/22B/0061 and Rabbiatu Bala ZM/22B/0117 presented by the State Coordinator Alhaji Abdulsalam Alhassan and Mrs Owla philibus,the Monitoring Officer from NYSC Headquarters Abuja.

The 50th Anniversary Celebration of the National youth Services Corps in Zamfara State,culminated in a Thanksgiving Service at the ECWA Church in Tudun wada Gusau on Sunday 21th May 2023..

In a sermon by Elder Samuel Nuhu,he narrated how his service year in Sokoto State,has shaped his life to who he has become today.

He encouraged the Corps Membérs to learn to save from what they earn and to ensure the acquire a Skill during the service year,while wishing the Scheme better days ahead..

The highlight was the Thanksgiving and group photograph with presiding Pastor.

"NYSC HAS BROUGHT DEVELOPMENT TO ZAMFARA COMMUNITIES" SHEIKH KANOMA

The Chief of Imam of Uma Bim Hadab Mosque Sheikh Umar Muhammad Kanoma at the jumat prayers in commemoration of NYSC at 50,showered accolade on the Scheme for the developmental stride the Scheme has recorded in the State in Education,Health, Agriculture and other areas of interest.

He made this remarks as Staff and Corps Members conveyed at the Mosque to offer prayers for the Scheme at 50.

"NYSC @50, HAS FULFILLED HER MANDATE." GUEST SPEAKER.

The guest speaker at The celebration of NYSC @50 Mr Peter Anyebe,has affirmed that the reasons for the establishment of the scheme has been fulfilled many times over, through the services rendered by Corps Membérs in community development projects and at their places of primary Assignment.

Mr Peter highlighted ,the achievement of the scheme in the areas of unity, integration , cohesion and community development projects, through the Orientation Course,Place of primary Assignment and community development services.

He further stressed the schemes ability to unite young Nigerian graduates, through the Cardinal programs of the Scheme.

In his welcome address the Zamfara State Coordinator,went down memory lane to give the reasons for the establishment of the Scheme and the unity that it has achieved over the years.

The Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil defence Corps Muhammad Bello Muazu narrated his experience during his service year,which has left a lot of good memories for him.

In the same vein, Professor Kabir Jabaka,who also narrated his service year experience in Lagos,advised the scheme to find ways of curbing excessive relocation of Corps during camp,stressing that it is affecting the scheme negatively.

The highlight of the occasion was the viewing of the SAED exhibition and presentation of Awards to some selected individuals.

FREE MEDICAL DELIVERY TO JANYAU COMMUNITY THROUGH HIRD.

The Zamfara State Coordinator Alhaji Abdulsalam Alhassan,today flagged off the Health Initiative for rural dwellers,medical outreach in Janyau Gabas Community in Gusau Zamfara State .

Flagging of the event,the Coordinator informed the gathering that the NYSC is marking five Decades of National development and community service and the medical outreach was part of the Schemes efforts to give free access to medical care and drugs to the community.

He informed the community,that the outreach in the past ten years has been replicated in so many rural communities in the State.

In his response,the Mai Angwa of Janyau tagabas,Alhaji Abubakar Hassan Janyau,on behalf of other Community leaders expressed his appreciation to the NYSC for chosing his community to benefit from the iniative and urge them to take advantage. of the programme.

The outreach began with a rally by the Band and Medical Community Development Services Groups and at the end of day about three Hundred patients were diagnosed, treated, and given drugs,while about five cases were referred to Federal Medical centre for further treatment.
