*DANSADAU EMIRATE COUNCIL COMMENDS ZAMCHEMA, ASSURES SUPPORT FOR ITS INITIATIVE*

In continuation of its visitation to Emirates Council across the 14 Local Government Areas of the State, ZAMCHEMA visited the Dansadau Emirate Council at the Emir’s residence in Gusau and distributed enrollment forms to enable vulnerable populations to access free healthcare under the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund.

In his opening remarks, the Executive Secretary of ZAMCHEMA, Dr. Ilyasu Ahmad Saleh, represented by the Director of Planning, Abdullahi Mande, stated that the visit was aimed at collaborating with the emirate to mobilize eligible individuals to enroll in the scheme.

During the session, the Director of ICT, Abdussamad Sani Kaura, explained the mode of distribution and the target beneficiaries, which include:
- Children under five
- Pregnant women
- Women of childbearing age
- The elderly
- Persons with special needs

In his closing remarks, His Royal Highness, the Emir of Dansadau, Alhaji Garba Muhammad (Sarkin Kudu Dansadau), commended ZAMCHEMA and assured support for expanding coverage to eligible beneficiaries.

As part of his efforts to enhance the Agency's stature and performance, the Executive Secretary of ZAMCHEMA, Dr. Ilyasu Ahmad Sale, participated in the first quarter meeting of the State Social Insurance Agencies Forum of Nigeria,

The meeting brought together executive secretaries from various state social insurance Agencies across the Nigeria, with the aimed of discussing strategies to improve the health insurance ecosystem.

Dr. Sale engaged with his counterparts, sharing ideas and best practices to optimize the scheme's implementation.

The session emphasized the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing in achieving sustainable development and universal health coverage in Nigeria.

The Executive Secretary of Zamfara State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (ZAMCHEMA), Dr. Ilyasu Ahmad Sale, hosted a delegation from the Zamfara State Youth Development Vanguard in a courtesy visit today at his office,
2nd April 2026.

In his remark, Chairman of the organization Comrade Abdurrahman Lawal, briefed the Executive Secretary on the Vanguard's mandate, which includes: promoting awareness, positive values, and socio-educational development of young people in the state through humanitarian services.

Chairman appreciated Dr. Sale's time and sought ZAMCHEMA's support in enhancing youth awareness and humanitarian efforts.

In response, Dr. Ilyasu Ahmad Sale welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for the Vanguard's work.

He assured the organization of ZAMCHEMA's support for sustainable youth development initiatives.

The meeting was attended by members of the Vanguard's executive committee and other representatives.

*UNICEF IN COLLABORATION WITH KECHEMA, SOCHEMA AND ZAMCHEMA ORGANIZED A 2 DAY TRIPARTITE PEER LEARNING ENGAGEMENT ON BEST IMPLEMENTATION OF STATE SOCIAL INSURANCE SCHEME.*

Today, UNICEF, in collaboration with Kebbi State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KECHEMA), Sokoto State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (SOCHEMA), and Zamfara State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (ZAMCHEMA), organized a 2-day Tripartite Peer Learning Engagement on Best Practices in the Implementation of State Social Health Insurance Scheme.
The event took place at Sokoto Guest Inn, Sokoto, from 25th to 26th March 2026.

The workshop aimed to facilitate peer learning and knowledge exchange among KECHEMA, SOCHEMA, and ZAMCHEMA on effective strategies, operational models, and innovations for implementing State Social Health Insurance Schemes and improving health coverage.

The Executive Secretary of ZAMCHEMA, Dr. Ilyasu Ahmad Sale, and his management team participated in the workshop, alongside representatives from KECHEMA and SOCHEMA.
The engagement provided a platform for sharing experiences, best practices, and challenges in implementing social health insurance schemes, with a focus on improving health coverage and scheme effectiveness.

Key areas of discussion likely included:
- Effective strategies for expanding health insurance coverage
- Operational models for state social health insurance schemes
- Innovations in scheme implementation and management
- Addressing common challenges and exploring solutions

Today, the newly appointed State Coordinator of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Attahiru Abubakar, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary of Zamfara State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (ZAMCHEMA), Dr. Ilyasu Ahmad Sale, at the ZAMCHEMA headquarter Gusau.

During the visit, Dr. Ilyasu Ahmad Sale warmly received Attahiru Abubakar and extended his heartfelt congratulations on his appointment.
He expressed confidence in Attahiru Abubakar's ability to drive the NHIA's mandate in Zamfara State and wished him a successful tenure.

As part of the visit, Dr. Ilyasu Ahmad Sale conducted a comprehensive tour of the ZAMCHEMA office premises, acquainting Attahiru Abubakar with the agency's operations, facilities, and key personnel. The tour provided an opportunity for the new NHIA State Coordinator to gain insight into ZAMCHEMA's activities and explore potential areas of collaboration.

The Zamfara State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (ZAMCHEMA) has distributed 2000 enrollment forms for free healthcare to the Zamfara State Persons with Disability Board.

During an unscheduled visit to ZAMCHEMA, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Bilyaminu Umar, stated that the visit aimed to solicit and strengthen collaboration in providing quality healthcare to persons with disabilities.
He expressed his commitment to building a strong relationship with ZAMCHEMA for the benefit of his people.

The Executive Secretary was accompanied by the Director of Administration of the Board, Sufiyanu Umar, and other staff members.
He commended ZAMCHEMA for its kind gesture and assured smooth distribution of the forms to persons with disabilities.

Zamfara State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (ZAMCHEMA) has introduced a toll-free call center number to enable clients easily to lodge complaints and make enquiries about services received from healthcare facilities.

The toll-free line, displayed prominently in healthcare facilities, is part of efforts to digitize ZAMCHEMA’s operations and strengthen client relationships.

In his remark, Director of Quality Assurance, Pharmacist Lawali Garba, stated that the initiative was introduced by the Executive Secretary, Dr. Ilyasu Ahmad Sale, to enhance accessibility and service delivery.

Today, the Marketing and Communication Unit of Zamfara State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (ZAMCHEMA) paid a visit to the Zamfara State ULAMAH Consultative Forum at the Zakkat Collection, Distribution, and Endowment Board.

The visit aimed to foster partnership and collaboration between ZAMCHEMA and the ULAMAH Consultative Forum in mobilizing and sensitizing the public on the contributory healthcare scheme.

In his remark, Executive Secretary of ZAMCHEMA represented by Director Program Haj. Hadiza Muhammad stated that the visit was intended to solicit the forum's partnership in mobilization and sensitization efforts regarding the contributory scheme.

Haj Hadiza Muhammad provided a comprehensive briefing on the agency's structure, services, and benefits of registering with ZAMCHEMA.
She highlighted the importance of collaboration with religious and community leaders in achieving universal health coverage in Zamfara State.

The session featured a question-and-answer segment, allowing for an exchange of ideas and clarification on various aspects of the contributory healthcare scheme. Sheikh Kanoma emphasized the importance of healthcare and the role of religious leaders in promoting health and well-being within their communities.

The visit marked a significant step towards collaboration between ZAMCHEMA and the Zamfara State Council of ULAMAH. ZAMCHEMA EXTENDS CONTRIBUTORY SCHEME TO VULNERABLE POPULATIONS IN MARU, BUNGUDU AND MORIKI EMIRATE COUNCIL.

In a bid to achieve universal health coverage, Zamfara State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (ZAMCHEMA) has initiated efforts to enroll more vulnerable individuals into its contributory scheme.

The agency visited Maru Bungudu and Moriki Emirates council, distributing enrollment forms to facilitate free healthcare access under the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund.

In his remark, Executive Secretary of ZAMCHEMA Dr Ilyasu Ahmad Sale stated that the initiative aims to include more vulnerable and underprivileged individuals in the scheme, enabling them to access free healthcare services.

He assured the Emirate that the agency is prepared to engage all state residents and would promptly enroll submitted forms.

In his speech Director ICT Abdussamad Sani Kaura explained that the enrollment forms require personal data and a National Identification Number, compulsory for scheme eligibility.
Target beneficiaries include: pregnant women, women of childbearing age, under-five children, the aged, and people with special needs.

In their goodwill messages
Chairman of the Governing Board ZAMCHEMA Dr. Ahmad Keku, and Executive Secretary of the Primary Healthcare Board, Dr. Hussaini Anka, urged the emirate to distribute the forms to eligible individuals, announcing plans to add more primary healthcare centers in each ward in to the scheme.

The state government has shown its concern over the healthcare of the state.

The Executive Secretary of the Zamfara State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency, Dr. Ilyasu Ahmad Saleh, made the declaration today at Bakura and Talata Mafara Local Government Emirates Council. to submit the forms of Register members into ZAMCHEMA.

Dr. Sale emphasized the importance of the scheme and encouraged those that to be enrolled in the program to take advantage of it.

In a related development, the Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr. Ilyasu Ahmad Sale, disclosed that non-governmental organizations have also extended the program by enrolling children's under 5, pregnant women, people with disabilities, and the elderly.

Dr. Ilyasu also commended the efforts of the state governor, Dr. Dauda Lawal, for the support he consistently provides to the Agency and urged people to support this administration for the success of all.

Also speaking, the Director of ICT of the agency, Abdulsamad Kaura, disclosed that 400 enrollment forms would be allocated to each ward for distribution to targeted beneficiaries. He added that possession of a National Identification Number (NIN) is mandatory to qualify for enrollment under the scheme.

According to him, the selection targets per ward include:
150 pregnant women,
150 women aged between 14 and 49 years,
50 children below five years of age,
25 elderly persons aged 65 years and above, and
25 persons living with disabilities.

Kaura explained that each beneficiary is required to photocopy their NIN slip, attach it to the completed enrollment form, and submit it through their respective district heads. He noted that the forms are embedded with security numbers to prevent irregularities in the enrollment process.

They called on residents to continue praying for the success of the present administration in achieving its cardinal agenda, with particular emphasis on human capital development.

In there several speech Sarkin Bormin Bakura who was representative by Senior District head Of Bakura and Emir Of Mafara Dr Bello Muhammad Barmo Sarkin Mafara, welcomed the officials of ZAMCHEMA led by Executive Secretary Dr. Ilyasu Ahmad Sale and assured them of utilizing the program for the health and safety of the people of Bakura And Talata Mafara Local Government Area Councils.
