Dr. Olayinka Gbolahan Ibikunle Honoured with Award of Honour

Hon. Dr. Olayinka Gbolahan Ibikunle, Ibadan Northwest Constituency Aspirant, has been honoured with an Award of Honour by the Student Union Government of the Federal Cooperative College, Eleyele, Ibadan.

The award, dated July 2026, was presented in recognition of his exemplary character, exceptional professionalism, inspiring leadership, and unwavering commitment to the student union movement.

According to the award citation, his positive influence and dedication have continued to inspire generations. The recognition was presented under the leadership of Comr. Aluko Emmanuel-led EXCO.

It was a beautiful, unforgettable and highly celebrated moment in Ward 11 (Northwest) as respected Islamic scholars, Imams and Alfas came together to honour Hon. Olayinka Gbolahan Ibikunle with a name that carries a powerful message — “Sulaimon,” meaning Man of Peace.

The atmosphere was filled with joy, warmth and heartfelt prayers as the religious leaders acknowledged his humanitarian spirit, humility, generosity and commitment to the wellbeing of the people.

Following his generous donation of ₦1 million in support of humanitarian efforts and community development, the Alfas and the Chief Imam of Olopomewa, Imam Oluseyi (Arometa), expressed their profound appreciation for his gesture and his continuous concern for the community.

Then came the moment everyone will remember.

In a gesture filled with honour and symbolism, the Imams and Alfas bestowed on him the distinguished name “Sulaimon” — the Man of Peace. Hon. Olayinka Gbolahan Ibikunle Visits Alfas in Ward 11, Donates ₦1 Million to Support Community Development

Hon. Olayinka Gbolahan Ibikunle, in continuation of his engagement with religious and community leaders, paid a visit to the respected Alfas in Ward 11 (Northwest) as well as the Chief Imam of Olopomewa, Imam Oluseyi (Arometa).

During the visit, Hon. Olayinka Gbolahan Ibikunle made a generous donation of ₦1 million as part of his contribution towards supporting the religious community and promoting humanitarian activities within the ward.

APC MEMBERS FROM WARD 4 PAY COURTESY VISIT TO HON. GBOLAHAN IBIKUNLE OLAYINKA

Two members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ward 4, Lati and Yinka, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Gbolahan Ibikunle Olayinka, the APM candidate for the Ibadan North-West State Constituency.

The visit provided an opportunity for Lati and Yinka to reconnect with Hon. Olayinka, who was also formerly a member of the APC, and engage him on issues concerning the people and the political future of the constituency.
