It's so sad when you see someone who was doing very well for himself become a beggar...

May Almighty Allah ease our affairs...🤲

There are millions of ideas walking around our streets every day, ideas that can change lives, ideas that can build nations, ideas that can end poverty. But the tragedy is this: there is no money to fuel them.

I have sat with young men and women with fire in their eyes, full of brilliant concepts, business plans, and innovations. But at the end of every conversation, one bitter truth always appears: “I don’t have money to start.”

I have worked in three different hospitals, and life taught me the harsh importance of money. I will never forget a case that broke my heart:

A pregnant woman came in to deliver. After examination, it was clear her pelvis was too narrow for a safe vaginal delivery. The only solution was a Caesarean Section (CS). We explained this to her husband. But this man broke down in tears. He had no money. Meeting upon meeting with his family brought no solution. Out of desperation, they discharged his wife to go to a church for “miracle delivery.” Hours later, both the woman and her unborn baby died.

Here’s the painful part the husband cried bitterly and said, “If I had money, I would have allowed you to do the operation.”

That statement has never left me. 💔

If he had money, his wife would be alive. If he had money, his baby would be alive. Instead, poverty robbed him of his family.

This is the reality in our society:
👉 A student drops out of school, not because he is dull, but because there’s no money.
👉 A patient dies in the hospital, not because the sickness is stronger than science, but because there’s no money for treatment.
👉 A dreamer gives up, not because his idea is impossible, but because there’s no money to bring it to life.

The truth is, money is not everything, but in this world, almost everything needs money.

That is why I keep saying: poverty is not just an economic problem, it is a killer. Poverty is a thief of destiny. Poverty silences ideas, kills talents, and buries dreams alive.

We must begin to build systems that give hope access to capital, affordable healthcare, financial empowerment, and opportunities for young people. Because until then, countless lives and destinies will continue to be wasted, not for lack of knowledge, not for lack of faith, but simply for lack of money.

The next time you hear someone say “money is not important,” remember this: money saves lives.
