His Royal Majesty Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye Asoroolu Ayinla V, the Olu of Igbo-Ora Land, Permanent Chairman, Ibarapa Central Traditional Council, and Deputy Chairman, Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs, has congratulated Muslim faithful in Igbo-Ora and across the world on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

In a goodwill message released to commemorate the festival, Kabiesi urged Muslims and all residents of Igbo-Ora Land to reflect on the lessons of obedience, sacrifice, tolerance, and love which the celebration represents.

The revered monarch stated that Eid-el-Kabir remains a significant period for prayers, gratitude to Almighty Allah, and renewed commitment towards peaceful coexistence and communal development.

The revered monarch of Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye Asoroolu Ayinla V, the Olu of Igbo-Ora Land, Permanent Chairman, Ibarapa Central Traditional Council, and Deputy Chairman, Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs, today, Monday, May 25, 2026, marked his 7th year on the throne with a special interfaith prayer session aimed at promoting peace, unity, and continued development in Igbo-Ora Land.

The spiritual gathering featured prayer sessions by Muslim clerics, Christian leaders, and traditional worshippers, all offering prayers for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of Igbo-Ora and its people.

The entire people of Igbo-Ora Land have once again recorded a significant milestone as the community was honoured with the prestigious Community Champion Award at the International Tourism Summit, Oyo State 2026.

The award was received on behalf of the community by HRM. Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye Asoroolu Ayinla V, The Olu of Igbo-Ora Land, Permanent Chairman, Ibarapa Central Traditional Council, and Deputy Chairman, Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs during the grand Tourism Excellency Award Ceremony held on Wednesday, 13th May, 2026, under the distinguished leadership of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.

The prestigious recognition was bestowed on Igbo-Ora Community in acknowledgment of its outstanding contributions to cultural tourism development, community participation, and the global promotion of the internationally celebrated World Twins Festival, Igbo-Ora, which has continued to position Oyo State prominently on the global tourism map.

Speaking after receiving the award, Kabiesi expressed profound appreciation to the Oyo State Government for recognizing the cultural heritage and tourism potential of Igbo-Ora. In his goodwill message, Kabiesi commended the Muslim Ummah for their devotion, discipline, and spiritual commitment throughout the Ramadan period.
