Ijebu Ode Local Government Chairman, Hon. Dare Alebiosu, has issued a stern warning: fireworks, bangers, and "Knockout" explosives are banned effective December 1st, 2025.

The ban aims to address growing concerns about public safety, particularly with the current security situation.

*IJEBULAND TAKES ACTION: ZANGA AREA GETS MUCH-NEEDED OVERHAUL*

IJEBU ODE LG TAKES GIANT LEAP TOWARDS BETTER ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE

The Ijebu Ode Local Government, under the able leadership of Hon. Dare Alebiosu and his Vice Chairman,
Hon. Titilayo Adeyemi, alongside the amiable SLG. Hon. Abiodun Oke, embarked on a landmark initiative to improve road infrastructure in the area.

As part of their efforts to foster socio-economic development and ensure a safer community, the LG has installed speed bumps on key roads.

Key Areas Affected:
- *Obalende Road*: Speed bumps have been installed near Anglican Girls Grammar School (AGGS) and along Ikangba Road.
- *Erinlu Junction*: Speed bumps are also present along Ikangba Road and in front of LivingSpring Nursery and Primary School, Odutola Food Industries.

- *Reduced Speeding*: The installation of speed bumps aims to reduce high-speed driving, thereby minimizing the risk of accidents and promoting road safety.

A PERSONAL TRIBUTE TO MY UNCLE AND MENTOR: PRINCE DAPO OKUBADEJO

Today, I want to take a moment to publicly appreciate a man whose impact on my life and on our dear state cannot be overstated,Prince Dapo Okubadejo, Honourable Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser to the Governor of Ogun State.

Prince Okubadejo is not just a public servant,he is a master strategist and trailblazer, a man whose vision and dedication continue to shape the economic strength of Ogun State. His innovative thinking and relentless drive for excellence are qualities I deeply admire and aspire to embody in my own journey.

As for me, Hon. ’Damilare Alebiosu (Dre), Executive Chairman of Ijebu Ode Local Government, I do not see myself as a peer to my uncle,but rather as a young leader walking in the path he and other great men have paved. I am a student of his leadership, a product of his encouragement, and a constant beneficiary of his wisdom.

There is no competition. There is mentorship, respect, and deep gratitude.

HON. DARE ALEBIOSU's ADMINISTRATION TAKES PROACTIVE STEPS TO PREVENT FLOODING IN ÌJÈBÚ-ODE

In a bid to ensure a safe and habitable environment for residents, the government of Hon. Dare Alebiosu has embarked on a comprehensive initiative to clear drainage systems, evacuate debris, and lay blocks in affected areas of Itantebo and Apebi.

This proactive measure aligns with the administration's commitment to mitigating the risks associated with seasonal flooding.

Key Objectives of the Initiative
- Clear Blockages: Remove obstacles in major drainage channels to enhance water flow and prevent flooding
- Waste Removal: Clear accumulated waste to reduce the likelihood of waterlogging and promote a cleaner environment
- Reinforcement: Reinforce affected areas with blockwork to prevent future flooding and ensure a safer community

The exercise, being carried out by the Works and Environmental Department of the Local Government under the leadership of Hon. Kehinde Otutuloro (Alade-Abuga) and Hon. Fatai Kukoyi, demonstrates Hon. Alebiosu's government readiness to reform Ijebu-Ode into a well-living abode for its citizens.

This initiative is particularly significant, considering the prediction of the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA) that 233 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in 32 states, including Ogun State, are at risk of flooding.
By taking proactive steps to prevent flooding, Hon. Alebiosu's administration is showing its commitment to the well-being and safety of its citizens.

IJEBU ODE LOCAL GOVERNMENT 2025 APPROPRIATION BILL BUDGET PRESENTATION.

Earlier today, 19th March 2025, the executive chairman of Ijebu Ode Local Government, Hon. 'Dare Alebiosu presented the Local Government 2025 Appropriation Bill to the Legislative Councilors at the Council Chamber Led by the Speaker of the house, Hon. Clement Adenaike.

The budget presentation comprises of SECURITY, INFRASTRUCTURE, HEALTH CARE & PEOPLE CENTRED DEVELOPMENT

Hon. 'Dare Alebiosu (Dre), a grassroot politician with humanitarian commitment has shown his zeal in taking Ijebu Ode Local Government to a greater and brighter height over time.

The 2025 Appropriation Bill was estimated to a sum total of 13.1 Billion naira, with this the good people of Ijebu Ode Local Government will move on to a prosperous year ahead with socio-economic developmental growth among others.

The Executive Chairman also addressed the good people of Ijebu Ode Local Government, where he assured them of excellent and good governance during his tenure in office.
