BIRTHDAY FELICITATION TO A BROTHER IN A STRANGE LAND
On behalf of my family, I want to sincerely felicitate with you, Alhaji Afolabi Tajudeen (Tigana) on this auspicious occasion of your birthday.
Like the Igbo would say in their local parlance, 'Nwanne Di La Mba'. It literally translate to , 'There is a brother in a strange land'. Our path had crossed in 1995 when I was in dire need of assistance, Providence brought you my way. You were an instrument of help and succour notwithstanding the ethnic differences and tribal prejudice that reigns supreme in our developing society.
Thirty years after, our friendship has metamorphosed to brotherhood. Our families are ever closer in what looks like an extended family tree; your siblings became mine, our wives became sisters and our sons ( Malik and brien) will be knitting together a better friendship that we've ever shared.
Tigana, you are compassionate, kindhearted, sincere and straightforward. This your birthday is so significant because this year will make it 30 years that our path crossed.
May the Lord God keep you hale and hearty and grant you many years of unending God's mercy and provision.
