I welcome you to September with a heart full of gratitude to Almighty God and renewed confidence in the promise of better days ahead.

Every new month is a fresh chapter. But September holds a special place in my heart, as it marks another year of my life and offers me yet another opportunity to reflect on the greatest privilege I have been entrusted with—the privilege to serve.

To serve our people is to carry their hopes, hear their concerns, honour their trust and remain steadfast in the pursuit of the common good.

As we enter this new month, our eyes remain firmly fixed on the work ahead. We shall continue to build, to empower, to improve lives and to create opportunities—deliberately, responsibly and with an enduring sense of purpose.

On my birthday month, therefore, my greatest wish is not for myself, but for the people I am privileged to serve: that every home may know greater peace, every family greater prosperity, every young person greater opportunity, and every community a stronger sense of hope.

May September bring us wisdom for our decisions, strength for our responsibilities and grace for the journey ahead.

We move forward with gratitude in our hearts, courage in our convictions and an unwavering commitment to the people.

LIST OF THE FIRST 50 ONLINE BENEFICIARIES OF THE AJEROMI-IFELODUN MEGA WOMEN & YOUTH SUMMIT 2026

In the spirit of transparency, accountability and fairness, the Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government hereby publishes the names of the first 50 residents captured through the online application window for the ₦50,000 Empowerment Support Programme under the Ajeromi-Ifelodun Mega Women & Youth Summit 2026.

A total of 50 application forms were made available online, and the first 50 applicants who successfully completed the online application process were duly captured.

This publication is intended to provide clarity and transparency regarding the beneficiaries covered under the online application window.

The disbursement of the ₦50,000 Empowerment Support Grant to the listed beneficiaries commenced yesterday and is currently ongoing.

As we gather on this beautiful last Sunday of August, I give thanks to Almighty God for His grace, protection and faithfulness over our lives and over the good people of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government.

This Sunday is particularly significant as it brings to a close the month in which we commemorated One Year in Office of the Akindipe Administration. The past year has been a journey of purposeful service, renewed hope and measurable impact—made possible by the unwavering support, prayers and cooperation of our people.

As we reflect on this important milestone, we remain deeply conscious that one year is not the destination, but another chapter in our collective journey of service and development. We are therefore more determined than ever to deepen our efforts and deliver greater dividends of democracy to every community across Ajeromi.

May this new week bring peace to our homes, prosperity to our businesses, strength to our families and renewed opportunities to every resident of our dear Local Government.

AJEROMI-IFELODUN LG LEADERSHIP REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO CLEAN ENVIRONMENT AS POLITICAL, ADMINISTRATIVE AND COMMUNITY LEADERS JOIN AUGUST SANITATION EXERCISE

Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government, Lagos — Saturday, 29 August 2026

Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to environmental cleanliness and sustainable development as the Local Government actively participated in the August edition of the monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise held today across the Local Government.

The exercise was led by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Bola Anite-Ugbo, who also doubles as the Supervisor for Environment, representing the Executive Chairman, Hon. Olalekan Olu Akindipe, who was unavoidably absent due to a national assignment.

The Vice Chairman was joined by the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Noheem Oluwa, while the wife of the Executive Chairman, Mrs. Bolanle Akindipe, also played an active role in the exercise.

Mrs. Bolanle Akindipe led the Supervisors, wives of Councillors and women leaders from the nine wards of Ajeromi in the sanitation exercise, reinforcing the administration’s inclusive approach to community development and environmental responsibility.

The Councillors from the nine wards of Ajeromi, led by the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Samson Olayinka, also participated actively in the exercise, demonstrating the commitment of the legislative arm to the administration’s environmental sustainability drive.

The Council Manager, Mr. Salam Adeyemi, alongside all Heads of Departments (HODs), also participated actively, underscoring the collective responsibility of the Local Government workforce in maintaining a clean, healthy and sustainable environment.

The Chairman of the Community Development Committee (CDC), Alhaji Ismaila Sanni, also joined the exercise, further highlighting the importance of community participation and stakeholder collaboration in sustaining a clean and healthy environment.

The Boundary Roundabout served as one of the major focal points of the exercise, with sanitation activities also extending to the Coconut axis of the Local Government.

The exercise further reflects the administration of Mayor Akindipe’s determination to sustain the culture of environmental cleanliness and full compliance with the monthly sanitation exercise since its reintroduction.

The Local Government commends residents for their continued cooperation and urges everyone to sustain the gains of the exercise by keeping their homes, streets, business premises and immediate surroundings clean at all times.

A clean Ajeromi remains a shared responsibility, and the administration will continue to work with residents and stakeholders to promote a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable Local Government.
