REMINISCING PAST ACHIEVEMENTS AND TRACK-RECORDS (PART 1)

Proven Educational Support System for Ekiti Youths

TAF isn’t just a seasoned scholar but also a staunch supporter of quality educational standard. He has embarked on so many educational support initiatives to assist the downtrodden within and outside his local government area.

He has led many awareness and orientation campaigns to so many Secondary Schools in Ekiti. Of recent are Corpu Christi College, Ilawe, Elo High School Ayetoro; where he led a team of experts to orientate students on creativity and innovation and how they can transmit their ideas into reality. He recently structured a program tagged S*x education, aimed at training and mentoring Ekiti Youths and Students on issues related to s*x and s*xuality.

He has presented many career-guidance lectures at Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State University and Federal University, Oye-Ekiti. During a visit to the honourable Minister of State for Education in Abuja, he led the presentation of a proposal packaged by Youth Parliament Speakers from Southwest Nigeria which the Minister regarded as the best since he has been working with youths across the country.

Trust me, he has the physical and mental capacities to perform even better if entrusted with greater leadership responsibility.

Earlier today, I joined other youth stakeholders in Ekiti State in a Civic Education Workshop on “Increasing Youth Turnout in Election”, tagged “Ready2Vote”.

The workshop provided community youth leaders, political parties youth leaders, religious community, Students Union leaders, traditional and social media influencers the opportunity to discuss and develop strategies to mobilize young people towards increasing voter turnout in the upcoming Ekiti 2022 governorship election.

There are about 527, 535 YOUTH VOTERS in Ekiti State and we shall be mobilizing them massively for the coming election.

My interest in leadership spans back to when I was very young and at my entrant into University of Ekiti, now Ekiti State University, I took a bold step into joining student unionism and politics.

This was borne out of my sincere passion for quality service delivery, community development and making indelible mark on the sand of time. At that time, my motto was the first law of motion 'a body will remain at a point of rest unless being impacted by an external force'...efficiently, I chose to be that force that could propel and spur to action.

The scriptural guide to my belief is found in John 1vs5 '-the light shines in darkness and darkness comprehended it not. With this, I got my political nomenclature. ..'Comrade Light'

It is important we reposition and redefine legislation cm communal development, for we cannot do things the same way, while anticipating a different results.

I have decided to heed the clarion call of contesting for the Ikole Constituency 1 seat, Ekiti State House of Assembly 2023.
