🌙🚀 *CALLING ON ALL FUTURE FEMALE NIGERIAN SPACE PIONEERS! BUILD & LAUNCH A SATELLITE TO THE MOON!* 🚀🌙

The United Nations-African Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education - English (UN-ARCSSTE-E), in collaboration with Space Kidz India, invites brilliant female teenagers (ages 14–16) to be part of a groundbreaking mission—building and launching a satellite into the Moon’s orbit! 🌍✨

Join 12,000 participants from 108 nations in this hands-on adventure, where you’ll design, build, and test a real satellite from March to October 2025. The best from each country will travel to India for the final launch between December 2025 and January 2026! 🌏🚀

It’s end of the year! HURRAY!!! 🎊🎊🎊🎊

ARCSSTE-E’s Director/Chief Executive, Engr. Dr. Seyi Olatoyinbo, hosted a gathering to celebrate the year's successes, recognize outstanding staff, and promote staff welfare.

The event featured games and recognized outstanding staff based on civil service principles: Mr. Taiwo Aileru (Technical), Mr. Fisayo Rabiu (Administration), and Mrs. Latifat Adetoro (Finance & Accounts), with Adetoro named the most Outstanding Staff of 2024. Top management staff were also appreciated for their loyalty.

Dr. Olatoyinbo reaffirmed his commitment to the Director General's Three-Point Agenda. The program concluded with advice from management and a vote of thanks from Mr. S. Obaguo.

The UN-ARCSSTEE recently hosted a comprehensive three-day 3D Printing and Design Training Workshop, from Tuesday 12th of November, 2024 to Thursday, 14th November 2024 . The two-day training, led by Mrs. Oluwabunmi Beatrice Falaju, focused on 3D printing fundamentals, practical operation of the Flashforge 3 Lite printer, and software use (FlashPrint, FreeCAD, Ultimaker Cura).

Participants engaged in hands-on tasks, including printer setup, maintenance, and real-world projects, fostering technological skills and innovation in Nigeria.

The Executive Director of the United Nations African Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in English (UN-ARCSSTE-E), Engr. Dr. Seyi F. Olatoyinbo Phestos Olats, received a delegation of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Chapter on a courtesy call to the Centre. The delegation of SSANU, OAU Chapter Executives was led by Engr. Demola Junaid (the Association General Secretary) on Thursday, October 31, 2024.

Possible areas of collaboration in capacity building and other programmes of mutual benefits to both parties were discussed.
