Akinsuroju’s Scorecard Sparks Renewed Call for Second Term in Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo:
Residents of Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Constituency in Ondo State have continued to express growing support for the re-election of Honourable Nelson Akinsuroju, citing what many describe as “visible, people centered, and impactful representation” at the Ondo State House of Assembly.
A review of his 2025 scorecard reveals a deliberate focus on education, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and social welfare and other key areas, long identified as critical to grassroots development.
Among his standout interventions, is the provision of free JAMB registration for indigenous students across Ile-Oluji and Oke-Igbo and his scholarship programmes for indigent students of his constituency, a move widely applauded for easing financial burdens on families while expanding access to higher education opportunities. This initiative, complements scholarship awards and broader youth focused programmes aimed at securing a better future for the constituency.
In the area of employment, Honourable Akinsuroju facilitated job placements for his constituents into major state institutions including SUBEB, TESCOM, the Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS), the State Judiciary, the Primary Health Care Board, and the State Civil Service. The lawmaker facilitated the rehabilitation of the long neglected Ogbontuntun Bridge and championed the clearing of waterways in Ile-Oluji to mitigate erosion and flooding risks.
