COMMUNIQUÉ OF THE KWARA PROGRESSIVE CAUCUS (KPC) WEEKLY MEETING HELD ON SUNDAY, 23RD AUGUST 2026

The Kwara Progressive Caucus (KPC) held its weekly meeting on Sunday, 23rd August 2026, under the leadership of its Chairman, Mallam Tunde Yusuf.

In his opening remarks, the Chairman expressed profound gratitude to Almighty God for His protection over all executives and members of the caucus across the state, senatorial districts, local governments, and wards. He thanked God for the preservation of lives and noted that there had been no recorded loss of any KPC member.

Mallam Tunde Yusuf also acknowledged the significant improvement in the security situation, particularly the reduction in incidents associated with insurgency, banditry, Boko Haram, and kidnapping. He attributed the progress to the grace of Almighty God and prayed that the peace and security currently being experienced in Kwara State and Nigeria would be permanent.

The Chairman urged all members to remain good ambassadors of peace, unity, and harmony wherever they operate. He emphasized that, as people of a state known for harmony and as members of a caucus committed to progress, they must continue to preach peace, tolerance, unity, and peaceful coexistence.

He further stressed that calmness, obedience, discipline, and unity are key ingredients for sustainable progress, urging members to continue supporting initiatives that will move Kwara State and Nigeria forward.

In their response, members appreciated Mallam Tunde Yusuf for his consistent commitment to preaching peace and unity and for demonstrating the qualities of a true ambassador of peaceful coexistence. They encouraged all KPC members to emulate his approach and replicate the message of peace and unity in their respective local governments and wards.

Members further noted that the caucus has maintained a peaceful identity, with no reports of its members being involved in activities that cause disorder or instability. They reaffirmed that their collective focus remains the progress, peace, and development of Kwara State and Nigeria.

The meeting ended with appreciation to Almighty God and prayers for continued protection, peace, security, and prosperity for Kwara State and Nigeria, with a special prayer that the gains recorded in the fight against insecurity will be sustained.

The Kwara Progressive Caucus (KPC) held its weekly meeting on Sunday, 15th July 2026, under the leadership of its Chairman, Mallam Tunde Yusuf.

In his welcome address, the Chairman gave all glory to Almighty God for preserving the lives of members and granting them the opportunity to witness another successful weekly meeting. He appreciated members for their steadfastness, calmness, loyalty, and unwavering support towards the continued progress of Kwara State and Nigeria.

Mallam Tunde Yusuf prayed that Almighty God would continue to protect and guide members of the caucus, grant peace to the nation, and strengthen the leadership at both the state and federal levels.

The Chairman emphasized that, true to its name, the Kwara Progressive Caucus (KPC) remains committed to promoting the progress and development of Kwara State and Nigeria. He stated that despite ongoing political discussions within the All Progressives Congress (APC), the caucus remains committed to the principle of party supremacy and will fully support whoever emerges through the party's constitutional and democratic process as announced by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC.

He further urged members not to relent in their activities, particularly in mobilizing eligible citizens for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, promoting peace and unity within their communities, projecting the achievements of the government, and praying for the peace, security, and prosperity of Kwara State and Nigeria.

In their contributions, members commended Mallam Tunde Yusuf for his selfless, transparent, and inclusive leadership of the caucus. They reaffirmed their commitment to the ideals of the KPC and pledged to continue mobilizing support for progressive governance while contributing to peace, unity, and development across the state and the nation.

The Kwara Progressive Caucus (KPC) held its meeting on 15th June 2026 under the leadership of the Chairman, Mallam Tunde Yusuf.

In his welcome address, the Chairman returned all glory and appreciation to Almighty God for the preservation of the lives of members and for His continued mercy and guidance upon the caucus.

Mallam Tunde Yusuf reiterated that the Kwara Progressive Caucus (KPC) remains loyal to the Executive Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, Sardauna of Ilorin, in recognition of the developmental strides and progress recorded in Kwara State under his leadership.

According to the Chairman, the visible transformation and giant strides experienced across different sectors of the state remain a testament to purposeful governance and progressive leadership. He emphasized that KPC remains committed to supporting policies and initiatives that promote the continuous growth and development of Kwara State.

Mallam Tunde Yusuf further stressed that the caucus stands firmly on the principle of party supremacy, stating that whoever eventually emerges as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) through the party’s internal democratic process will enjoy the full support of the caucus toward achieving victory in the 2027 general elections by the grace of God.

He urged members to remain calm, united, and continue supporting the government of the day while sustaining efforts that promote peace and progress across the state.

In their contributions, members reaffirmed their commitment and love for the progress of Kwara State, noting that they remain actively involved in mobilizing people for Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), encouraging peaceful coexistence, and promoting awareness of the achievements and developmental efforts of the present administration led by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
