Today, I celebrate not just twins, but two rare souls who have been part of my journey from the very beginning. Funny enough, we started with fights and arguments 😂, but with time, those misunderstandings turned into a strong brotherhood and genuine friendship.

These twins remain among the strongest supporters I have ever had. They stood by me, defended me, supported me, and believed in me throughout my journey to becoming the FILSU Global Financial Secretary. From the election period, to the day of victory, and even till my recent programs, they have always shown up for me with loyalty, strength, and love.

Honestly, both of you played major roles in shaping the FILSU Fin Sec I am today. Your encouragement, sacrifices, support, and friendship mean so much to me, and I will never take them for granted.

Your dedication to the struggle, service to FILSU, and commitment to progressive unionism continue to inspire many comrades within and beyond the Union. Truly, leadership, loyalty, and solidarity live in both of you.

A MENTOR, AN INSPIRATION, AND A STEADFAST COMRADE: CELEBRATING COMRADE TAJUDEEN ABDULRAHEEM OPEYEMI (BRAINY)

The Office of the Financial Secretary, Federation of Iwoland Students’ Union (FILSU), celebrates a distinguished comrade, a mentor, and a committed advocate of progressive student unionism, Comrade Tajudeen Abdulraheem Opeyemi (Brainy), on the occasion of his birthday.

Comrade Brainy stands as a source of inspiration to many emerging leaders. He played a significant role in inspiring my journey into student leadership, and his guidance has remained impactful even beyond his graduation in 2024.

A proud son of Iwoland, he served diligently as the appointed Coordinator of FILSU UNIOSUN-Okuku Chapter before the full transition of leadership. His efforts laid a strong foundation for continuity, progress, and stability within the chapter.

During my tenure as the President of FILSU UNIOSUN-Okuku Chapter, he stood firmly in support of the administration, offering guidance, strength, and unwavering commitment. Till this moment, he remains a dependable supporter of the Union and its ideals.

Aluta is not just a slogan;it is a lifestyle, and Comrade Brainy has consistently lived by this principle ✊🔥.

On this special occasion, we celebrate not only his birth but also his legacy of mentorship, loyalty, and service to the student community.

Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘Alamin! 🙏
While the initiative was first introduced by the FILSU 2024 administration under Comr. Salawu Azeez Adebayo (IMOLE) as an online Ramadan Lecture and Palliative Distribution, the Office of the Financial Secretary & Social Director proudly hosted the first-ever physical FILSU Ramadan Lecture and Ramadan/Lenten Palliative Distribution held on Wednesday, 18th March 2026 at D.C School Araromi Hall, Opposite Iwo Local Government

Special thanks to: Guest Lecturer Alhaji Dr. Abdulhafidh Adisa Abdulganiy, All FILSU Executives, stakeholders, donors and Every Filsuite who made this possible.

Together, we set a new standard in unity, faith, and service within our community. 💚
