Today was a sorrowful moment as I joined my younger sister and Baby as I fondly call her, Dr Kalen Ephraim Anzaku, the Vice Chairman of Lere Local Government Area, as she bid farewell to her beloved husband,Late Dr Mark Anzaku, in Akwanga, Nasarawa State.

The outpouring of love and support from the people of Lere and the Gure community has once again demonstrated the uniqueness of Dr Kalen and the deep connection she has with her people.

I also deeply appreciate her boss and my colleague, the Executive Chairman of Lere Local Government Area Alhaji Jafari Ahmed , for demonstrating true leadership by standing firmly with his people during one of their darkest moments. By leading a delegation of party stakeholders and management staff of Lere Local Government Area to the funeral, you have shown that true leadership is not only about service in moments of celebration, but also about standing by your people in times of grief and sorrow. May the good Lord bless and reward this sacrifice of love.

The massive crowd, the testimonies, and the steady stream of people who came from different states to pay their last respects to Late Dr Mark speak volumes about the kind of man he was and the lives he touched.

May God Almighty repose his soul and grant him eternal rest through Christ Jesus our Lord.

To my darling Dr Kalen, my prayers and thoughts are with you at this difficult time. I share in your grief and pray that the God who comforts beyond human understanding will grant you peace, strength and courage in the days ahead.

Please take heart and remain steadfast in faith, knowing that death is not the end for those who believe. We hold on to the hope that, on the resurrection morning we shall meet again at the feet of Jesus.

May the Lord comfort you, the family and all who mourn this great loss.

LIGHT UP JABA: TRANSFORMER RESTORED AND FULLY OPERATIONAL AT KWOI CITY GATE

On 10th April 2026, a brand-new transformer was installed and fully connected at Kwoi City Gate, Sab-Cham Ward, with all necessary cables fixed to make it operational.

Unfortunately, the transformer was later vandalised, and the oil inside it was stolen, rendering it inoperable. However, the Executive Chairman of Jaba Local Government Area, Hon. Larai Sylvia Ishaku, promptly intervened and ensured that the transformer was repaired and restored.
Today, 7th August 2026, the transformer has been brought back to Kwoi City Gate and is now fully operational, providing improved and more reliable electricity supply to the people of Sab-Cham Ward and surrounding communities.

The people of Sab-Cham Ward sincerely appreciate His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, CON, for the “Light Up Jaba” initiative, and commend Hon. Larai Sylvia Ishaku for her swift intervention, dedication, and commitment to ensuring that the people continue to enjoy the dividends of good governance.

Kaduna State Free Fertiliser Programme: Public Advisory Against Fraud

The Committee overseeing the distribution of free fertiliser in Kaduna State has received reports that fraudulent individuals are using the phone number 07120177379 to solicit ₦5,000 from unsuspecting farmers in exchange for fertiliser and other agricultural inputs.

This is a scam.

The Kaduna State Government wishes to reiterate that all fertiliser and agricultural inputs provided under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani are completely free of charge. Beneficiaries are not required to make any payment to access the programme.

In 2024, the Government distributed 500 trucks of fertiliser free of charge, followed by 400 trucks in 2025. In continuation of this initiative, Governor Uba Sani has approved the distribution of an additional 500 trucks of fertiliser to farmers across Kaduna State this year.

Farmers and members of the public are strongly advised not to make any payments or respond to such fraudulent messages. Any suspicious activity or attempted fraud should be reported to the relevant authorities.

The public is urged to remain vigilant and to share this advisory widely.

Yesterday 6th August 2026, I had the privilege of hosting a strategic engagement with youths drawn from the six wards of Jaba Local Government Area, Fai, Nduyah, Nok, Chori, Daddu and Sambam.

The meeting brought together over 240 youth representatives, with two representatives selected from each polling unit across the six wards, to deliberate on issues of youth participation, empowerment, leadership, entrepreneurship, peacebuilding, grassroots development and politics.

The engagement provided an important platform for our young people to share their concerns, aspirations and ideas,while also strengthening their participation in governance and community development.

furthermore I highlighted the development vision and achievements of His Excellency Senator Uba Sani, CON,particularly his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, improved healthcare delivery, job creation, and inclusive development across Kaduna State.

The development in Jaba Local Government Area, are glearing for anyone to ignore, completed road projects across various communities are particularly significant. These projects are opening up rural communities, improving connectivity, facilitating the movement of agricultural produce, strengthening access to markets, schools and healthcare facilities and creating an environment for greater economic activity. Good roads are not merely infrastructure, they are pathways to opportunity and sustainable development.

I encouraged the youths to take advantage of opportunities in education, skills acquisition, agriculture, entrepreneurship, digital innovation and emerging employment opportunities. I equally urged them to remain law-abiding, embrace unity and shun violence, drug abuse and every activity capable of undermining the peace and stability of our communities.

Our youths are central to this vision,they are not merely beneficiaries of development, but partners, stakeholders, innovators, entrepreneurs and future leaders.

We will continue to work closely with them and other stakeholders to consolidate the development strides of His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani CON, while advancing the shared vision of a peaceful, inclusive and prosperous Jaba Local Government Area.

Together, we will build a Jaba where no community is left behind and where every young person has an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to our collective future.

PRESS STATEMENT

RE: RESPONSE TO THE ALLEGATION OF INTIMIDATION MADE BY MR. PHILIP CHOM

The attention of the Media Team of the Executive Chairman of Jaba Local Government Council and the All Progressives Congress (APC), Jaba Local Government Chapter, has been drawn to the allegations of intimidation made by Mr. Philip Chom, the former APC Youth Leader in Jaba Local Government Area.

For the record, Mr. Philip Chom voluntarily resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) through his Ward Chairman, Mr. Mathias.

Following his resignation, Mr. Philip Chom allegedly included the names of several party members from Nok and Nduya Wards in his purported resignation list without their knowledge or consent. Upon verification by the respective Ward Chairmen, the affected individuals categorically denied authorizing Mr. Chom to submit any resignation on their behalf. Some further stated that they do not know Mr. Chom personally, have never had any contact with him, and remain committed and loyal members of the All Progressives Congress in Jaba Local Government Area.

Based on their affirmations, the affected party members have demanded that Mr. Philip Chom be called to order and tender an unreserved public apology for dragging their names into what they described as his personal political mission. They questioned why, if he truly enjoys the political influence he claims, he found it necessary to use the names of party members across different wards without their authorization.

Furthermore, the affected individuals have recorded video disclaimers publicly dissociating themselves from Mr. Philip Chom and his actions. Copies of these video disclaimers from Nok and Jaba Wards are attached to this statement.

In addition, more than ten (10) affected individuals have submitted written complaints to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Kwoi Division, alleging that their names were used without their knowledge or consent. They have requested a thorough investigation and appropriate action in accordance with the law.

These video disclaimers and written complaints clearly demonstrate that the allegations being circulated by Mr. Philip Chom are baseless, misleading, and intended to misinform the public.

Rather than attempting to gain public sympathy through the media, Mr. Philip Chom should take responsibility for his actions. The unauthorized use of individuals' names and alleged impersonation are serious matters with legal implications. He should immediately withdraw the false allegations and misleading stories being circulated against the Executive Chairman of Jaba Local Government Council.

The Executive Chairman remains focused on delivering good governance, promoting peace, unity, and sustainable development in Jaba Local Government Area. No amount of falsehood or politically motivated propaganda will distract the administration from its commitment to serving the people.

Today, youths across the six wards of Jaba Local Government Area , Fai, Nduyah, Nok, Chori, Daddu and the Sambam held a productive meeting with the Executive Chairman of Jaba LGA, Hon. Larai Sylvia Ishaku.

On the 4th of August 2026, I had the privilege of joining the Southern Kaduna stakeholders' delegation to accompany His Excellency, Comrade Jerry Adams, the Deputy Governor-designate, to the grand homecoming to his hometown Moroa in Kaura Local Government Area.

Furthermore , Ungwan Ate in Kachia local government Area, where thousands of jubilating supporters lined the roads to welcome the entourage, it was evident that the people were celebrating one of their own. The overwhelming reception continued through Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, while the people of Kaura Local Government turned out in their thousands in an extraordinary display of love and solidarity. By the time we arrived in Jema'a Local Government Area, the reception was equally remarkable. The genuine affection shown throughout the journey was truly inspiring.

This outpouring of love is a reflection of the relationships Comrade Jerry Adams has built over the years through his career at Coca-Cola, his participation in the COJA Games, his political engagements, humanitarian service, and unwavering commitment to the work of God. He has consistently given to others without expecting anything in return, stood by people he barely knew, and seized every opportunity to make a positive impact. Today, those seeds of kindness are yielding abundant fruit.

His emergence also reflects the visionary leadership of our leader and mentor, His Excellency Senator Uba Sani, CON, whose passion for humanity, inclusive governance, infrastructural development, and peaceful coexistence continues to transform Kaduna State. Under his administration, Kaduna has made remarkable progress and earned greater recognition on the national and global stage.

By the grace of God, 2027 is bright for Kaduna State. Together, we will sustain the momentum, consolidate on the achievements of the His Excellency Sen Uba Sani's administration, and keep the fire of progress burning.

The UBA/JERRY ticket represents continuity, unity, and greater development for Kaduna State.
