It is with great respect and honour that I celebrate our revered father, His Majesty, Dr. Ishaku Adda Ali Matakhitswen, Aku Uka of Wukari and the Chairman Taraba State Council of Traditional Rulers on his birthday.

“HALF THE WORLD ARE WOMEN, AND THE OTHER HALF ARE THEIR CHILDREN” ~ Charlotte Whitton. Let that sink in…

With the IWD 2026 theme of “Give to Gain” - Women give their compassion, wisdom, strength, and leadership to the society and the world, to shape generations. Through that giving, societies grow stronger, economies prosper, and futures are transformed.

Today, we celebrate the remarkable women whose resilience and generosity continue to build a better world. May we all be inspired to give more of our support and voices, explore more opportunities, in order to gain a more just, prosperous, and inclusive future.

Happy International Women’s Day.

TARABA STATE DEEPENS STRATEGIC ENERGY PARTNERSHIP WITH UNIDO

In line with the regional energy security and infrastructure transformation of His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, the Ministry of Energy and Economic Development is advancing the development of two priority Small Hydropower (SHP) sites in Sardauna LGA - Taraba state, in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

The development process was initiated in 2024 by the Ministry, including the pursuit of co-funding opportunities. As part of the technical process, UNIDO engineers and the Ministry’s engineers were deployed to start critical field investigations last week Saturday, and to commence the technical process for the feasibility studies and relevant engineering designs.

This step is pivotal to our electrification agenda targeting communities and Local Government Areas not yet connected to the national grid. Construction of the hydro projects will proceed once the engineering studies confirm full technical and commercial viability.

These projects will be designed to:
➡️ Strengthen decentralized generation capacity
➡️ Expand electrification to unserved and underserved LGAs
➡️ Reduce dependence on the national grid
➡️ Catalyse agro-industrial growth within the region

Strategic planning continues as we advance steadily toward sustainable energy solutions for the entire Taraba State, unlocking and harnessing our rich small and large hydropower potential.

I am truly grateful for the overwhelming love, kind messages, and birthday wishes extended to me for almost a week now.

Turning 31 feels significant. It’s an age that quietly asks deeper questions about purpose, boundaries, growth, and the kind of life one is intentionally building. It’s less about noise and more about clarity. It is less about proving, and more about becoming.

The past year pushed me to my core. It tested my resilience, stretched my patience, and demanded strength from places I didn’t even know existed. There were moments that required me to stand firm and grow through discomfort rather than avoid it. I’m deeply grateful for the lessons, the grace, and the inner strength that carried me through.

Thank you so much to everyone who called, sent messages, and reached out to wish me a happy birthday. Your love, prayers, and kind words truly meant more to me than you know.

A special thank you to The Burgundy Restaurant by Chef Stone for being such a gracious host. The experience was intimate and thoughtfully curated with each course intentional, refined, and beautifully executed. It was a reminder that excellence lies in detail and care. To my amazing friend who insisted on picking the bill for an unforgettable 7-course meal - thank you for the generosity, laughter, and love. I’m truly grateful for friendships that show up in numbers and celebrate loudly.

Cheers to growth, gratitude, meaningful connections, and stepping into this new year with strength, clarity, and purpose 🤍✨ #2026

In 2024, a simple idea was born — that widows in our community should not feel forgotten especially during the end of year festive period. What began as an act of compassion has now become a yearly tradition of love.

Yesterday, for the second consecutive year, my team returned to Wukari LGA to share foodstuffs, warmth, and hope to over 1000 widows in central and rural parts of Wukari, not as charity, but as family.

Guided by the compassionate leadership, support and people-centred vision of His Excellency Dr. Agbu Kefas, the Executive Governor of Taraba State, this initiative goes beyond gatherings and ceremonies. That is why for some, we have gone the extra mile by personally reaching out to vulnerable widows who lack adequate mobility, ensuring that care and dignity came directly to their homes.

This annual programme is rooted in the belief that leadership must be felt, not just announced, as love shared is love multiplied.

Each package carried more than food. It carried reassurance, dignity, and the message that our Widows are seen, they are valued, and they are not alone.

As we closed another year and stepped into 2026, we recommit ourselves to a path of service, empathy, and shared responsibility.

❤️ We ended 2025 with love, and we begin 2026 with renewed purpose.

Happy New Year!
