The holidays had started. Some had travelled. Others are going with their parents to farm, while the rain some days makes it impossible to hold sessions.

Moments like these remind me why partnerships matter. I had the opportunity to join GSS Chwelnyap's Speech and Prize-Giving Ceremony, and to see some of the prize winners emerge from GICD's Life Skills and Psychosocial Support Programme is powerful reminder that when schools, communities, and organisations work together, children thrive.

Somewhere between teaching children to be respectful and obedient, we forgot to teach them to be safe.

By the time a child reports abuse, something has already gone terribly wrong.

The real work begins much earlier, helping children recognize their rights, identify abuse, and know that asking for help is always an option. That's how exploitation is stopped before it starts.
