Kaduna State Ministry of Health, in collaboration with Pathfinder International and Impact Catalyst, has convened a three-day co-creation workshop at Hotel Seventeen, Kaduna.
The meeting was aimed at operationalizing the state-adopted National Redesigned Community-Based Health Worker Program Guidelines.
The workshop brought together community health teams, Government officials, and technical partners to translate policy into practical, community-level action that will strengthen primary health care delivery across Kaduna State.
In a strong demonstration of political commitment, the Honourable Commissioner of Health Hajiya Umma K Ahmed reaffirmed the Kaduna State Government’s dedication to reducing maternal and child mortality through effective implementation of the CARMNIS programme.
“We cannot afford to have these interventions implemented only on paper.
They must be genuinely sustained at the community level, where lives are saved or lost,” the Commissioner stated.
She further encouraged participants to ensure the workshop produces practical, community-ready strategies capable of driving measurable improvements in maternal and newborn health outcomes.
The workshop reflects the shared commitment of Kaduna State Government, Pathfinder International, and Impact Catalyst to empowering community health workers, strengthening health systems, and accelerating progress toward ending preventable maternal and child deaths in Kaduna State.
