Tinubu’s roads in Kaduna and the Northwest

Kaduna is getting set to host the first rally of the APC Presidential campaign on Saturday.

Those travelling by road from Abuja to Kaduna in the night, will notice the road lighting for 81 kilometre stretch on a solid, concrete highway, built by the Tinubu administration.

In the Northwest, President Tinubu is committed to building a total of 4,084 kms of roads.

Completed inherited and new projects – 348 km.

Total length of partially completed road projects – 1,811 km.

THREE KEY COMPLETED PROJECTS AMONG OTHERS IN THE NORTH WEST
a. Abuja–Kaduna–Zaria–Kano:
I. Lot 1 – 118 km completed (81 km in CRCP and to be commissioned by Mr. President at the rally ground on 24th October 2026).
II. Lot 2 – 164 km completed in CRCP .
b. Kaduna–Pambeguwa – 77 km (To be commissioned by Mr.
President during Jos Rally).

C. KEY ONGOING ROAD PROJECTS
a. Sokoto–Badagry Dualized Projects – 2nd Legacy Project of the
Renewed Hope Administration:
I. II. Sokoto Section: 120 km dualised (240 km) – 60% in completion.

Kebbi Section: 254 km dualised (508 km) – 40% in completion.

b. Sokoto–Zamfara–Zaria – 350 km dualised (700 km), executed in 4
sections – average of 30% in completion.
c. Kano–Kongolam – 153 km.
d. Zaria–Hunkuyi – 132 km.
e. Mando–Birni Gwari – 123 km.

2. EMERGENCY PROJECTS COMPLETED = 149

RAILWAY INFRASTRUCTURE
a. Kaduna Metropolitan Rail Line within Kaduna State – $865 million.

b. Construction of light Rail project with Kano metropolitan area,
worth over 1 Trillion Naira.

Tinubu Commissions Section III of Abuja–Kaduna–Zaria–Kano Expressway, Boosts Road Safety and Trade

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commissioned Section III of the Abuja–Kaduna–Zaria–Kano Expressway, covering the Zaria–Kano corridor, through Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, who represented him at the ceremony.

Engr. Senator Engineer David Nweze Umahi, CON who was part of the commissioning, together with the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement Northwest Hon Abdullahi Yakasai, and other SSAP's of Community Engagement, thanked the Government and people of Kano state for their warm welcome.
