Yerima Shettima he's joined His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, Executive Governor of Kaduna State, alongside members of the Kaduna State Executive Council, Commissioners, government officials, youth leaders and other distinguished dignitaries at the International Youth Day Conference 2026, held at the Umar Musa Yar’Adua Hall, Kaduna State.

The conference was organised by the Kaduna State Ministry of Youth Development to commemorate International Youth Day and provide a platform for meaningful conversations on youth development, empowerment, leadership and the future of our young people.

His Excellency, Governor Uba Sani, delivered an inspiring speech centred on the future of the youth, highlighting the importance of investing in young people, equipping them with relevant skills and creating opportunities for them to actively participate in the development of Kaduna State and Nigeria.

The Governor’s message reaffirmed the commitment of the Kaduna State Government to making youth development a priority and ensuring that young people are adequately prepared to take advantage of emerging opportunities and contribute meaningfully to society.

I commend the Kaduna State Ministry of Youth Development for organising this important conference and for its continued efforts towards empowering and building the capacity of our young people.

The future of Kaduna and Nigeria is inseparable from the future of our youth. Investing in the youth today is investing in a stronger, prosperous and more sustainable tomorrow.

Today, I had the pleasure of receiving my younger brother and political son, Hon. Mahmud Mamman Lagos, an aspirant for the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Doka-Gabasawa Constituency, alongside members of his team, who paid me a courtesy visit.

During the visit, I charged Hon. Mahmud and his team to work wholeheartedly for the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and to support all credible aspirants contesting under our great party. The unity, strength and collective success of the APC must remain our shared priority.

I also used the opportunity to reaffirm my personal and unequivocal endorsement of Hon. Mahmud Mamman Lagos for the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Doka-Gabasawa Constituency.

Mahmud is not just an aspirant to me; he is my son and younger brother. His father, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, the Super Commissioner, has been my ally, loyalist and trusted political associate over the years. The bond and trust we share have extended naturally to the next generation.

I therefore have no hesitation in identifying with Mahmud’s aspiration and supporting his ambition to represent the good people of Doka-Gabasawa Constituency at the Kaduna State House of Assembly.

I encouraged him to remain focused, engage the people sincerely, respect all stakeholders and continue working for the progress of our party and constituency.

My endorsement of Hon. Mahmud Mamman Lagos is personal, deliberate and unequivocal.

I wish him and his entire team success in their campaign and urge all APC faithful to remain united and committed to the success of our great party and all its candidates.

Yesterday in Kauru Local Government Area, Kwassam Ward, the Capacity Movement Project 2027 held a productive engagement with youths in the area.

The meeting was conducted under the leadership of the Capacity Movement Project Kauru LGA Youth Leader, Comr. Joel Ahada, with the aim of sensitizing and mobilizing young people towards the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

The engagement provided an opportunity to interact with the youths, discuss their concerns, encourage active participation in the democratic process, and strengthen grassroots mobilization.

The Capacity Movement Project 2027 remains committed to engaging young people across Kauru LGA and working towards a stronger and more organized grassroots structure ahead of the 2027 elections.

All Progressives Congress (APC) Stakeholders Meeting in Kaduna State, held at the Hassan Usman Katsina Banquet Hall, which brought together a broad spectrum of our party’s leadership, including serving members, political aspirants, former members and senators, commissioners, and other prominent APC stakeholders across the state.

The gathering was a clear demonstration of the strength, unity and commitment of the APC family in Kaduna State. Our leaders and stakeholders engaged in constructive discussions on strengthening the party, fostering greater unity and developing a strategic roadmap towards achieving success in the forthcoming general elections.

As we move forward, I believe that unity of purpose, mutual respect and collective commitment remain essential to securing victory for our party and delivering continued development to the people of Kaduna State.
