Faisal Shuaib And Inimitable Charity

The Noble Prophet, Muhammad (SAW) in one of his Hadiths reported by Muslim says "Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation of the people."
Again, Al-Tirmidhi reported that the Prophet says "the believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.”
These authentic Hadiths of the Prophet are a reflection of the support base and a dignified morale booster of Dr. Faisal Shuaib in giving charity inimitably to the less-privileged masses at times of their need.
DFS has been responsive to the necessities of time. Just like leadership speaks about times and seasons, he doesn't allow time to pass by. He demonstrates irreducible determination in attending to the people's survival trend. His charitable causes and concerns are what keep him firm, resolute and resilient even in the face of a challenging political firmament whose temperature has almost risen to the brim of its thermometer.
Dr. Faisal Shuaib, a true people-servant, has an intrinsic character of giving-and-the-Almighty-shall-give-you-more. He believes once extended to the less-privileged, the volume of the wealth will only increase as against the "Babalawo" narrative of significantly decreasing, which many politicians believe in.
With the start of this Ramadan fast, DFS has remained a stickler of philanthropy. The tapestry of situations has changed with the voluminous distribution massively spread all around.
Since a few days ago, public commentary has been on his gesture of greatness through charity. Ramadan preaches not just abstinence to food and bedroom in*******se. It challenges us all to promote charity, humility, prayerfulness, affection and righteousness beyond the fasting period.
Last year, he did same. He was renowned for his distribution of palliatives during Sallah and Christmas festivities. This excited many households that were suffering from the exploitative rise of food items in the Nigerian markets.
His attitude towards philanthropy is a call to destiny. This "giving symdrome" is a strength to him. I recall quickly that as a man of consequence and generosity who has trailed many walls, DFS does not support people as many political actors do. He is technocratic in his support. He supports in large chunk to enable one become an enabler of himself not to continually rely on DFS, a virtuous benefactor.
In December last year, someone from Lafia met with DFS as a loyal supporter, immediately after the meet-and-greet session, he directed his personal assistant to give the loyalist an sum undisclosed amount of money but huge to continue with his business which got stalled due to FX constraints then. The expression of true excitement by the beneficiary was visible even to the visually impaired. I was intrigued and marveled by the largesse. Today, the middle-aged man has revived his business and we became friends with the person since that "Day of Redemption".
There is nothing unusual to DFS. He does it with passion and with rooted realness. This is what we call leadership. This must be emulated by people of dignity to extend charity to the people. To make the people stable and financially firm. It is a means to reduce hooliganism and political protectionism that has eaten deep into the nascency of our democracy.
It is essential to make a categorical point that politicians should prioritize their people as a viable asset. A great investment than to amass wealth for their family as if they were going to bribe their ways to heaven after life on earth. When you support people-oriented causes, you'll see unimaginable results.
May Allah, for the sake of this month of Ramadan, make our dream come true.
