The Director-General/Focal Person (DG/FP), Nasarawa State Human Capital Development Agency (NSHCDA), Ms. Habiba Balarabe Suleiman, participated in the Future Planters Africa Boot Camp, themed “Planting Ideas, Growing Futures.”
The boot camp organised by Hon. Kefas Tigga, founder Future Planters Africa brought together young people with ideas, aspirations and a strong desire to create meaningful impact and build successful futures. The programme provided an avenue for participants to learn, connect, develop their potential and gain practical insights from experienced mentors and leaders.
As part of the programme, the DG/FP joined an interactive mentorship session with the young participants, where she shared insights from her personal and professional journey. She spoke candidly about the challenges, setbacks and hurdles she encountered along the way, as well as the determination, resilience and commitment that enabled her to overcome them and progress to the level she has attained today.
Encouraging the participants to remain focused on their aspirations, she emphasized that greatness is often built gradually through vision, discipline, consistency, resilience and the courage to keep moving despite challenges.
The session was highly interactive, with participants asking questions about leadership, career growth, overcoming obstacles, discovering opportunities and staying committed to their goals.
The DG/FP responded to their questions, sharing practical lessons from her experiences and encouraging the young people to believe in their ideas and take deliberate steps towards turning their visions into reality.
The engagement reflected the essence of the boot camp planting ideas today, nurturing potential and empowering a generation capable of growing a better future for themselves and their communities.
