Senator Ahmad Aliyu Wadada. joined the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, at the 2026 Nasarawa Youth Summit, organised by the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Nasarawa State Chapter, to commemorate International Youth Day 2026.

The theme, “Political and Voter Participation as a Civic Responsibility for Young People,” is both timely and important as we approach the 2027 General Elections.

I commend the NYCN for creating a platform that places young people at the centre of conversations about democracy, leadership and the future of our state.

As we prepare for another electoral cycle, I urged our young people to embrace peace, tolerance and responsible participation. Political differences should never become a reason for division, violence or the destruction of the bonds that hold our communities together.

Democracy is strongest when citizens participate peacefully, make informed choices and respect one another, regardless of political affiliation.

As a leader and as a stakeholder in the future of Nasarawa State, I remain committed to a politics that unites our people, protects our democratic values and creates opportunities for young people to contribute meaningfully to governance and development.

The future of Nasarawa belongs to all of us. Let us build it together with peace, responsibility and a shared commitment to progress.

Sen. Ahmed Wadada Aliyu received the Nasarawa State Association of Artisans and commend them for their commitment to continuous learning, skills development and youth empowerment.

Their focus on training and capacity building aligns strongly with his HEARTS Agenda, particularly Human Capital Development, which remains a foremost priority.

Sen. Wadada believe Nasarawa needs a “total state of emergency on skills acquisition and training for our youth.”

We must position our state as a major supplier of skilled manpower to the FCT and beyond.

“Nasarawa should produce at least 30 percent of skilled workers in Abuja. Our youth should be ready.”

We can build a Nasarawa where our young people are skilled, productive, self-reliant and ready to compete anywhere.

Sen. Ahmed Wadada Aliyu hosted the State Commissioners, Senior Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants for an important conversation about the future of Nasarawa state.

During the meeting, he commended Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for raising the bar in purposeful leadership and development. The progress witnessed is a reflection of a team working together with commitment, innovation, and a shared sense of responsibility.

He said at the meeting, “Success in governance is never the work of one person; it is what happens when a good team works together.”

But this meeting was not about praise. It was about what comes next.

It was about how to build on the foundations already laid, strengthen governance, embrace technology, and create a government that is more transparent, accountable, efficient, and responsive to the needs of our people.

Looking ahead to 2027, Sen. Wadada made it clear that, by the grace of God, his administration will introduce a clear performance framework, with measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Heads of Agencies.

To whom much is given, much is expected.

At the centre of this vision is the WADADA HEARTS AGENDA, a people-centred development framework focused on:

H — Human Capital Development

E — Energy and Mineral Resources

A — Agriculture and the Green Economy

R — Rural and Urban Development

T — Trade, Investment and Industry

S — Security

With Nasarawa’s strategic proximity to Abuja, vast natural resources, and enormous economic potential, I firmly believe our state can become a major economic hub.

The stakeholders welcomed this vision and expressed their readiness to take the message of the HEARTS AGENDA to their respective communities and work collectively towards building a stronger, more prosperous Nasarawa State.

The vision is clear.

The people are at the heart of it.

Sen. Ahmed Wadada Aliyu Donate Bus To
Nasarawa state Disability Rights Commission

The flag bearer of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada (Sarkin Yakin Keffi) has donated a Bus to Nasarawa State Disability Rights Commission to facilitate its official engagement.

The pronouncement was made during a meeting with the leadership of the commission, under the chairmanship of Saleh Barde Keana.

Senator Wadada said his leadership will build on the projects and the efforts of Engr. Abdullahi A Sule of exceeding all expectations. He promised to carry along all and sundry, which is contained in his HEARTS AGENDA

Wadada urged the disability community not to relent on ensuring they struggle to achieve success in their careers and endeavors, because there's ability in disability.

The Executive Chairman Nasarawa State Disability Commission, Hon Saleh Barde Keana in his response, appreciated Senator Wadada for his commitment in addressing the plight of people living with disability, and importantly, for the donation of Bus to the commission.

He assured the APC gubernatorial candidate, and other APC flag bearers of their unanimous endorsement and support ahead of the 2027 elections.

2027: HAJIYA MARYAM WADADA TAKES WOMEN EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE TO AWE LGA — ₦50,000 TO EACH BENEFICIARY

Hajiya Maryam Ahmed Wadada, wife of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, has arrived in Awe Local Government Area as part of the commencement of her statewide women empowerment initiative across Nasarawa State.

A total of 500 women in Awe LGA are beneficiaries of the ₦325 million women empowerment programme, with ₦50,000 presented to each beneficiary.

The programme is designed to reach 6,500 women across 13 LGAs and 147 wards of Nasarawa State, providing direct financial support to women and strengthening their capacity to improve their livelihoods.

The initiative underscores Hajiya Maryam Wadada’s commitment to supporting women, strengthening livelihoods and promoting inclusive community development across Nasarawa State.

ONE MESSAGE: WOMEN MUST BE AT THE HEART OF DEVELOPMENT.
