Political propaganda will Not Derail our principal's integrity

Some elements who are clearly threatened by progress have begun circulating falsehoods that our principal “overran” the Abasho Tollgate for the second time. Their intention is obvious: to tarnish his image and weaken the political will that has continued to uplift our people.

Let it be known that these allegations are nothing but the desperate propaganda of those who fear transparency, order, and development. Our principal remains a law-abiding citizen, a seasoned leader with a proven record of discipline, dignity, and respect for institutions.

Those peddling these lies must understand that no amount of misinformation can stand against truth. You cannot smear a man whose character is rooted in integrity, nor can you stop a moving train of progress with mere noise.

We remain focused, unwavering, and committed to the greater vision ahead. Their propaganda only exposes their frustration while our principal continues to win the trust and admiration of the people.

We recorded yet another remarkable milestone yesterday in Keffi Local Government as Her Excellency Hajiya Rukaiya Abubakar (Kwalliyan Lafia), demonstrated true leadership and compassion by distributing food items worth billions of naira to the good people of Keffi. This noble gesture reflects her unwavering commitment to humanity and the progressive vision of our great party, the APC.

Critical Statement by HOD

The so-called Lafia Mujemaha appears to lack inclusiveness and transparency. As it stands, we are not part of their activities because the communiqué from their recent meeting was neither made public nor extended to all key stakeholders of our great party, the APC, in Lafia.

To be specific, the current Chairman of Lafia Local Government who is constitutionally the leader of the party at the local level was not in attendance. This omission alone raises serious concerns about the credibility and legitimacy of the gathering. It is on this ground that we have chosen to distance ourselves from their actions until proper consultation and due process are ensured.

His Excellency Mohammed Abubakar Adamu Lafia has arrived as an unstoppable force in Nasarawa State politics. From the very instant he declared his intention to contest the governorship, the political equilibrium shuddered — rivals fell silent, strategies stalled, and the corridors of power were gripped by a palpable sense of awe. His declaration did not merely announce a candidacy; it detonated a new reality in which every calculation must now be measured against his standing.

His Excellency’s influence is not accidental or transient. It is the product of relentless groundwork, unassailable credibility, and a command of popular sentiment that few have matched. Where others once clamoured for attention, they now withdraw into careful observation — recognizing that confronting his momentum without purpose would be futile. His presence compels respect and demands recalibration from every corner of the political arena.

To those who thought politics in Nasarawa State could be played as usual, let this stand as a sober warning: His Excellency Mohammed Abubakar Adamu Lafia has reshaped the contest. Zoning as a guiding principle overview:

Since the return of democracy, no zone in Nasarawa State has been deliberately denied the opportunity to produce the governor. This clearly indicates that all administrations so far have, in one way or another, reflected the spirit of zoning and fairness among the three senatorial zones.

Therefore, we must not allow ourselves to be deceived into thinking zoning has never existed. However, if it becomes imperative to revisit or reinforce zoning as a guiding principle, we in the Southern Zone firmly believe that equity demands the governorship ticket should now go to the Northern Zone and we shall give them our full, undivided support.

From historical precedence, the political transition has moved in sequence from the Western Zone to the Southern Zone and then to the Northern Zone. Hence, if we are truly committed to maintaining zoning, the reverse order should now be respected.

As a loyal member of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), I stand by this position, which reflects not only my conviction but also the collective sentiment of a vast majority of our party members across the state.
