Otunba Ladi Oluwaloni Invested as Fellow of Chartered Institute of Local Government
The Executive Vice Chairman of Ayobo Ipaja LCDA, Otunba Ladi Oluwaloni, popularly known as OLO 1, has been inducted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria (CILGPAN), in recognition of his outstanding contributions to grassroots leadership and public service.
The investiture ceremony was held at the Department of Anatomy, John Obafunwa Building Complex, Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM), Ikeja, and attracted key stakeholders in governance and public administration.
Otunba Oluwaloni’s elevation to the prestigious fellowship cadre celebrates his passion for public service, strong leadership at the grassroots, and consistent advocacy for good governance and effective local government administration. The honour is regarded as a significant milestone and a well-deserved recognition of his impactful journey and influence within the public sector.
Speaking through the citation read at the event, the institute described him as a leader who has raised the bar in local governance and set a powerful example for the next generation of public administrators.
In total, 15 distinguished professionals were inducted as Fellows of the institute, while 36 others were admitted as Members, further strengthening the institute’s role in promoting excellence and professionalism in local government administration across Nigeria.
The institute noted that the future of local government administration looks brighter with leaders of proven capacity and commitment, such as Otunba Ladi Oluwaloni, playing active roles in shaping policy and practice.
