CHAPTER 37.
_____________

"If you kiss me, I'll die."

Eliodoro's brows furrowed slightly when he heard that. He drew away almost immediately.

"Huh?" Amelia gasped suddenly like as though she just heard what she had blurted.

"I wouldn't want to kill you." Eliodoro said, then he turned around and sat on a couch.

Amelia's cheeks flushed in embarrassment.

'You're so stupid!!' She inwardly scolded herself.

"Uhm....it's not like I meant it. I just...I just said it." She stuttered, trying to make herself feel better.

"Is that so?" Eliodoro asked, giving her a knowing look.

"Yes! Why not? Don't feel so good, okay? It's nothing. In fact,....its absolutely nothing."

"You're stuttering so much. Am I too hot for you?"

"What?!" Amelia shouted. Loudly. Too loudly.

"You?!" She asked with a chuckle, trying to save herself from more embarrassment.

Eliodoro titled his neck slightly.

"Listen, I've seen a lot of guys. Uh huh! Better than you. So like i said, don't feel too good."

"What?"

"What? You heard me. I'm hungry....do something." Amelia said, deliberately changing the topic.

"No. Let's talk about what you just said." Eliodoro said and stood. He hated to admit it, but he was troubled by the fact she said she had seen a lot of guys hotter than himself.

'Is that even possible?' He thought.

"What?" Amelia asked, acting oblivious.

"Just how many guys have you met?"

"Me? Only a few. In fact, only you and Alexa...." Amelia stopped herself before she could complete the pronunciation.

She quickly looked up at Eliodoro.

'Oh God!'

His eyes already darkened.

"What were you about to say?" Eliodoro asked unsmiling.

"Uhm...I...well....I'm sorry."

"I hate apologies."

"Huh?"

"You shouldn't have a reason to apologize. I don't want you mentioning his name, especially when you're with me." He said dismissively.

"Okay, sir."

Eliodoro didn't say any other thing. He only say down on the couch again.

Amelia bit her lips slightly.

"I was only joking earlier. I don't know any guy." She said with a low voice.

"I see."

"And uhm...I didn't mean to say I'll die if you kiss me. Actually, I..."

"I understand." He interrupted her, saving her the stress of finding the right word.

"You need some time, mm?"

"Yes. Maybe if you weren't so hot, then I wouldn't have needed time." Amelia said with a slight smile.

Eliodoro's facial expression relaxed.

¶ALEXANDER'S MANSION¶

Mrs. Francisco stood still before her vanity mirror. Her eyes looked distant, her pale cheeks made it easy to tell that she'd cried a lot. Her hands were folded at her back, her eyes were glued to the mirror, still she couldn't see herself. For the pain in her heart had overwhelmed her to the point of the above statements.

Slowly, she raised her orbs to stare into her own eyes.

"It's happening." She whispered. Her cracky voice evidence of the fact that she hadn't spoken for quite sometime.

What she'd dreaded, what she'd hoped against, what she'd avoided is now beginning to happen.

"I'm loosing Alexander. He'll push me away like he did to his parents. Alexander...Alexander doesn't care about me anymore." She muttered. She thought she'll begin to cry again, but her eyes proved that they were void of tears.

She slowly moved her left foot, then her right, she repeated the movements again, and in a fee seconds, she was seated on the edge of her queen sized bed. She held her palms together. Tightly.

"I can't let him go back to the dark again. I did a lot to bring him out." She said out loud.

Mrs. Francisco shakily released a breathe. The way Alexander had treated her so lowly earlier was hunting her, and she had no doubt it'll hunt her till he returns and shows a little affection.

Speaking of returning, Mrs Francisco arose from the bed. She started to take a step towards the rooms door, when suddenly she hit her right foot against the ground.

"Ahh!" A yelp tore through her lips as she landed harshly on the ground.

"Siii! How did that even happen?" She hissed, the pain in her tomb piercing through her bones.

Mrs. Francisco didn't make an attempt to stand. She was about laying on the ground when a thought hit her.

'Bad omen.'

"No!!" She stood with a scream. Her worry defeating the pain in her toes.

"What...could this be a sign? Alexander....Ale...my Alexander!"

She quickly rushed to the side table where she had dropped her phone. She picked it up, dialed his number and called it.

Rang once - No answer.

Rang again. - No answer.

Rang once more - No answer.

Rang the last time - No answer.

"Oh no! What has happened to him?" She asked herself worriedly.

Mrs. Francisco stood transfixed for a minute, her facial expression looking ever so worrisome. Abruptly, she dashed out of the bedroom.

"Has Alexander returned since he left this morning?" She asked a maid walking past the sitting room.

"I didn't see him ma'am." She replied respectfully.

"I saw him, ma'am." Another maid said.

"Where?" Mrs. Francisco asked without thinking.

"I mean, did he go out again?"

"Yes, ma'am. When I saw him, he was dressed like as though he was headed to the company." The maid replied with a slightly bowed head.

"And he hasn't returned." Mrs. Francisco completed with a low voice.

The maids walked away, leaving her alone in the sitting room.

"Be safe, Alexander. Lord, keep my boy safe please." She prayed, feeling really uneasy.

~~

¶THE PLACE OF THE ACCIDENT¶

The road was unusually deserted and quiet, with only the sounds of trees as they waved echoing round the area. At a corner stood a tall tree with a vast root, and in front of it was a car.

Alexander's car.

"Ahem!" Alexander's cough sounded, adding a little life to the vicinity.

"Argh!" He groaned in pain as he carefully raised his head from the wheel where it had landed. His right hand flew to the back of his head, due to the worrisome pain he was getting from there. He felt it, and withdrew his hands to check. No blood.

Then why the pain? Why so much pain there?

"Oh God!" He gasped as he stretched his neck. His whole body was on fire. He felt like he'd been beaten.

"Now, even my car isn't working for my good." He spoke, grunting in between as she squeezed his way out of the damaged car.

Alexander staggered weakly. He found his way to the front of the tree to get a clearer view.

"Oh Lord!" He gasped.

The car was indeed damaged. It'd ran into the tree too forcefully, thereby breaking it's wind screen. The tires were bursted, the side mirrors were laying depressed on the ground, and above all, that crazy brake decided to stop working.

Alexander tried to walk, but it seemed impossible. He felt liquid trickling down his cheeks, he touched and looked at it. A dissatisfied look taking over his face.

"Guess I'm bleeding after all." He muttered, just before dropping to his knees.

Alexander immediately sent a message to one of the guards to come pick him enough. And like as though, his eyes were waiting, immediately he sent the message, they closed in unconsciousness.

~~TWENTY MINUTES LATER.~~

"What happened?!' Mrs. Francisco screamed as the men rushed into the house with an unconscious Alexander.

"He was in an accident, ma'am." One of them replied. The rest focused on taking him into the bedroom they used for treatment.

"Acc..." She wanted to ask again to be sure, but tears shut her up.

"Please, someone call the doctor!"

"We've done that, ma'am."

"Tell him to hurry! Oh my poor boy!" She cried as she ran up the stairs to go be with him whilst they await the arrival of the doctor.

~~

¶BEATRICE AND AMELIA'S HOUSE.¶

Beatrice had been behaving like a thief since Amelia left. She'd tiptoe to grab a glass of water, tiptoe to p*e, whisper to answer a phone call, and remained quiet no matter the case. Well, she hadn't come up with a convincing lie to tell Giulia about Amelia's whereabout, so what better way to handle the situation than to ensure Giulia remained asleep?

She sat facing her laptop, with her phone at her side. She thought of texting Amelia to ask how she was doing, but it just didn't seem right.

"Be patient, Beatrice." She encouraged herself.

"With who or what?" Giulia's unexpected question followed, causing a scream to escape Beatrice's lips.

"Ahhhh!!!!" Beatrice screamed in fright.

"What?!" Giulia shouted, looking stunned.

"Oh, God! When did you wake up and how did you hear my whisper?" Beatrice asked, wide eyed.

"I woke up just now, and your whisper didn't sound like a whisper to me."

Beatrice swallowed slightly.

'What will I say when she asks me?' She asked herself, as NY mind went wild.

"Are you okay, Beatrice?"

"Huh?... Yes! Yes, I'm fine." Beatrice said, placing a sweet smile on her lips.

"Okay." Giulia said, followed by a yawn.

"Are you hungry? I'll get something for you to eat." Beatrice said and stood up immediately, but Giulia's expected question halted her.

"Where's Amelia?"

"Ma?" Beatrice turned around swiftly with a fake confused look.

"Where's Amelia?"

"Oh. She uh...."

'Think! Think! Think, Beatrice!!!!!' She yelled inwardly.

"She went for a walk." She blurted out.

"It's quite sunny out there." Giulia said, staring out through the window.

'You're such a bad liar.' Beatrice scolded herself.

"She was bored, so...."

"Oh."

"The sun here isn't harsh. It just shines brightly."

"I see." Giulia said with a nod.

"Yes, mama. So I'll get you something to eat?"

"Let's wait for Amelia. We'll eat together."

"Okay, mama." Beatrice said, then she returned to the couch and lowered herself on it.

Giulia yawned again. This time, with a stretch.

"Ou! I'll take a shower. That'll wake me up."

"Okay." Beatrice said with a chuckle.

~~

¶SHADOW'S PLACE.¶

Shadow was seated on it's usual chair. The room was quiet, the atmosphere unreadable, and Shadow's thoughts were deep and unknown.

Abruptly, a knock sounded on the door.

Shadow hit a button, and the door opened, giving the visitor the permission to enter.

A man entered. A guard. One of Shadow's men. His face was familiar.

He was the man Shadow had met at the last exit of the place.

"Boss." He bowed deeply.

"Report." Shadow permitted.

"All you've asked for is ready, boss." The man said, his head deeply bowed.

Shadow didn't make a sound nor move. It sat still for fifteen seconds, and at the sixteenth, it stood up with a loud clap.

"Everything is ready!" It repeated, its tone making it clear that it was pleased with the report.

"Yes, boss." The guard confirmed.

"Bring it in." Shadow ordered.

The man bowed deeply. Even deeper. Then, he turned around and left, minutes later, he came in again with a black sealed bag.

"Here it is, boss." He said, maintaining his extra deep bow.

Shadow chuckled.

"Good, good, good! You've done good." Shadow raved.

"Thank you, boss." The man said, feeling delighted. He felt like he'd made his way into Shadow's good book.

"Do you think I need you still?" Shadow asked.

"The boss is strong even if he/she stands alone. Nevertheless, the men desire to stay around the boss." The man replied respectfully, feeling threatened by the question.

Shadow let out another chuckle. A dark chuckle.

"I have one last task for you."

"I'm ready, boss."

"When you get to hell, say hi to the devil for me."

And before the man could understand or reply, Shadow sent a knife flying to his forehead.

"Bullseye!!" It yelled, a devilish laughter following the sound.

The guard dropped to the ground, shocked and dead.

Shadow smirked slightly. Its eyes were glued to the black bag, and its smirk soon became a grin.

"Vivaldo,... Vivaldo's,...are... you.... ready....for....me...?" It hummed, slowly moving its head.

"Are you ready to bleed? And beg? And cry?! Are you ready to hurt?! Are you ready to go into extinction?! Are! You! Ready! For Shadow?!!!!" It yelled madly, its eyes like a flame of fire.

"Whether you are ready or not, I am coming for you." It hissed through gritted teeth.

~~

¶ELIODORO'S MANSION¶

Amelia was already with her hand bag, standing. While Eliodoro sat on the couch, staring at her with a slight frown.

"Why are you still sitting?" She asked softly.

"Why are you leaving?" Eliodoro asked, unsmiling.

"Tsk! I told you earlier; my mom is at home, so I can't stay out for too long."

"What are you? Some high school undergraduate?"

Amelia sighed, her fingers finding their way to the hem of her top.

"Answer me." Eliodoro demanded.

"No, I'm not." She said softly.

"Do you have a problem telling her that you're in a relationship with me?"

"No. I have a problem telling her that i'm in a relationship in the first place. My mom is a holy perfectionist."

Eliodoro scoffed.

"Okay. I'll drop you off. She's home, mm?"

"Yes...?"

"Come on." Eliodoro said before grabbing her arm gently.

"Why did you end the conversation like that? Are you angry?" Amelia asked as they walked to his car.

"No."

"Sure?"

"Mm."

"Okay."

Eliodoro looked at her, then he took his eyes off.

"Get in." He said when they reached the car.

~~

"Thank you." Amelia said when the car came to a halt in front of her gate.

She had asked Eliodoro to stop the car earlier, but he refused. Now, she only hoped Giulia wouldn't step out of the house at that moment.

"I'd prefer a hug than a thank you." Eliodoro said, causing Amelia to laugh.

With a laugh, she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"I'll try my best to see you tomorrow." She whispered.

"Try hard." He said.

"Bye." Amelia said with a smile.

Eliodoro gave a nod, then she came out of the car and walked through the gate.

Immediately she disappeared out of sight, Eliodoro also alighted the vehicle.

~~

"Amelia's home!" Giulia shouted to Beatrice as she pulled the door open for Amelia.

"Salve, madre." Amelia greeted with a smile, knowing that Beatrice had done a good job covering her up.
( Hello, mother.)

"Hello, baby." Giulia said as she hugged her.

Just then, Beatrice also reached there.

"Welcome, Amelia. Let's eat, please. Mom insisted on waiting for you." Beatrice said with a grin.

"Oh? Why did...." Amelia started to ask Giulia a question, but the knock that sounded on the door interrupted her.

"Who could it be?" Beatrice asked.

"I'll see." Amelia said, then she turned to the door and pulled it open.

Her throat went dry immediately. Amelia's eyes widened, her breathe bi***ed as she set her eyes on him.

Eliodoro Vivaldo.

"You must be Mel's mom. Hello, I'm Eliodoro Vivaldo, Amelia's bo..."

"Ahh!!!" Amelia's scream interrupted him before he could complete the sentence.

Eliodoro turned to her with a teasing look on his face.

CHAPTER 36.
______________

¶BEATRICE'S AND AMELIA'S HOUSE¶

"Hey, Amelia." Beatrice greeted as she settled beside Amelia on the couch.

"Hey, Trice." Amelia said with a sigh.

"Are you okay?'

"Mm?"

"I mean, you are...you don't look like it."

"Forget it. Mom?"

"She's still asleep. I wonder the kind of stress she must have gone through to get here this morning." Beatrice said, drawing invisible odd shapes on the couches arm.

"She just never listens." Amelia concluded.

"Yeah, but that's not what we're talking about right now." Beatrice said, giving her whole attention to Amelia.

"What?"

"I asked you to tell me what's wrong with you." Beatrice repeated.

"Just draw your shapes, Trice."

"I wasn't drawing shapes. I just caressed the couches arm."

"I saw you draw a rhombus."

"Unknowingly, yeah. Ah! Come on, Amelia. Do you want to keep secrets from me?"

"It's not like that. It's just...."

"I promise, I'll listen. Whatever it is, okay?" Beatrice said reassuringly.

Amelia raised her orbs to look at Beatrice. They maintained the eye contact for seven seconds, then Amelia released a heavy breathe and opened her mouth to speak.

"If you keep sighing like that, you'll make me think you're pregnant." Beatrice mumbled.

"What?!" Amelia's palm flew to Beatrice's mouth, with a silent yell.

"Mmmmm!!" Beatrice made muffled noises with wide eyes as she tried taking Amelia's palm off her lips.

"Don't say that again, Trice. That's not the case." Amelia warned before lowering her hand.

"Okay, then speak already."

"Wait, but how could you even say that? We've only been dating for like two days? Three days?"

"It doesn't take up to thirty minutes to get pregnant, Amelia."

Amelia scoffed amazingly as she looked at Beatrice.

"Okay, fine. I'm sorry." Beatrice apologized, the lower part of her face slightly red from the earlier struggle.

"It's fine. I just feel so uncertain.'

"Elaborate."

"Eliodoro had called me earlier; he wanted to meet me...and I refused him, Trice."

"What? Why?"

"Because mom is here! Where was I going to tell her I was going so early in the morning?"

"Oh God, Amelia. This is a mess."

"It's a very big mess, Trice. I know that he was angry! I'm so sure. Did I tell you Alexander asked me to be his girlfriend?"

"What?"

"He did so during the date. I said no....I already have one, and he's not...I don't adore him."

"You don't adore who?" Beatrice asked.

"Alexander, of course."

"Oh."

"I feel strangled. The truth is that mom shouldn't be here."

"True. We can't send her away though." Beatrice said, relaxing on the couch.

"No chance. I just to find an excuse I'll use to leave the house everyday."

"What's the worry? Just say you're going to work."

"What work, Trice?"

"Okay, I hate to do this, but you could lie you work at a grocery store or..."

"Grocery store? That'll break mom, Trice. I am a graduate, remember?"

"I forgot for a second."

"That was ten seconds right there."

"Whatever. So, what now? You gonna say you work at an office?"

"Uhm..."

"Idea!!"

"Jeez! Don't shout, Trice! You'll wake mom up."

"My bad." Beatrice said, biting her lower lip.

"So what's your idea?"

"How about you ask your boyfriend for a job in his company? He must have a company, right?"

"Definitely...I don't know."

"Yes, definitely. You should be clean with him. Tell him your mom came and she might not be cool with you having a boyfriend, so bla bla bla bla. How do you like it?" Beatrice asked with a grin.

"Not bad.." Amelia replied slowly, a small smile stretching her lips.

"Not bad, mm?"

"Not bad." She repeated, this time louder with a short laugh.

"Trice, you're so wise. I love you." Amelia said cheekily.

"I love you too, baby."

Amelia opened her mouth to speak again, but her phone's notification sound halted her.

~~

¶THE VIVALDO'S VILLA¶

"Where's Elio?" Leandro asked one of the guards standing in front of his room.

"Junior boss stepped out of the villa, boss."

Leandro shut the door, and walked back to his bed, dialing Eliodoro's number for the eleventh time.

"Just pick up, son." He muttered under his breathe, dialing the number again.

After a few seconds, it stopped ringing.

Leandro dropped the phone aside, knowing that if he kept holding it, he might end up calling him a hundred times.

~~

¶SHADOW'S PLACE¶

A certain chamber in the place was alive. There were a hundred and twenty men in it, each man busy filling riffles with bullets.

Weapons were scattered around; it already looked like a disaster even though they weren't being used yet.

The men moved swiftly. With experience, they arranged weapons. They filled guns with dangerous bullets, they dipped knives in acid, they gathered bombs, they arranged armors.

The actions were massive and swift, activities uncountable, description impossible, but there is one sentence that could describe it partially. Or maybe wholly.

They were preparing for WAR.

~~

¶ELIODORO'S MANSION¶

Amelia stood in front of the vast gate with a dry throat. She gulped slowly, her eyes darting from one corner to the other. Slowly, she took a look at her wristwatch, thankfully she had three more minutes to the end of the thirty minutes given to her. She released a shaky breathe, her heart pounding really hard as she remembered the text message.

♠FLASHBACK.♠

"Was that your phone?" Beatrice asked, referring to Amelia about the notification sound.

"Yes. I'll check it out." Amelia confirmed before unlocking her phone to see the notification.

"Eliodoro?" She muttered his name as she tapped on it. It was a message.

Beatrice looked at her, but remained silent.

"Oh, God!" Amelia gasped as she read.

"What?! Why do you look so shocked?" Beatrice asked, shaking Amelia's arm slightly.

Amelia turned the phones screen to Beatrice, giving her the go ahead to read.

"If you do not meet me at the mansion before thirty minutes, I will meet you...at your home. And I promise you; you will hate.. the experience." Beatrice read the message out loud, stuttering at some point.

Amelia and Beatrice's eyes met, both ladies looking confused and afraid.

"Go before he comes here." Beatrice whispered.

"Why do I feel skinny tensed?"

"I don't know. It might not be a problem though. Just, go."

Amelia nodded once, her eyes still wide, though slightly. Nonetheless, she arose and proceeded to dress up.

Five minutes later, she was dressed.

"I'm ready, Trice." Amelia said, looking like she was about to cry.

"Good, good. I already booked a ride, it's outside."

"Aww. Thank you, Trice!" Amelia said, hugging Beatrice briefly.

"You're welcome. Run along!" Beatrice said, pushing Amelia slightly.

Amelia started to leave, but she stopped.

"Where are we going to tell mom I went?"

"Uhm...i don't know. I'll think of something before she wakes up."

"Arrive derci." Amelia said, then she ran out completely.
( Good bye.)

"Take care!" Beatrice shouted after her.

♠END OF FLASHBACK♠

Amelia gave herself a shake, then she walked into the building. She didn't even know why she was so scared. Just, that message...didn't look like one that was typed with a smile.

She took a glance at her wrist watch.

"Thirty six seconds left. Keep moving, Amelia. Go, go." She urged herself silently.

"Hello, Miss." Night greeted her as she neared the entrance of the main building.

"Hi." She greeted back, her voice barely audible. She increased her pace, and just like that, she was in the sitting room before she could prepare herself for it.

Amelia stood there frozen. Her eyes transfixed on Eliodoro's.

Eliodoro raised his orbs to look at the person who had just entered.

Mel.

He took his gaze off her, and directed it to the clock. Fortunately for her, she got there two seconds earlier.

"Uhm...hi." Amelia greeted, taking in a deep breathe as she approached him.

Eliodoro took a good look at her. He felt like gathering her in his arms, but that wallpaper wouldn't just leave his head, would it?

"Alexander Banks." He said the name, deliberately ignoring her greeting, his eyes fixed on the ground.

"Does that name ring a bell?" He asked, then he lifted his gaze and settled them on her as if waiting to see her reaction to the question.

Amelia swallowed hard.

'Why is he asking about Alexander?' She questioned herself inwardly.

"Yes...it does." She replied, stuttering briefly.

Tsk! Why wouldn't she stutter? Who wouldn't stutter? He sat there like some demon who escaped to Earth, ready to destroy. And his aura,....even more than intimidating.

"Who is he to you?" Eliodoro asked the next question. He felt somewhat glad that she was being truthful.

'Maybe they're nothing much to it after all.' He said to himself.

"Uhm...we're almost friends. It might sound weird, but that's it. We're not so close, we're just like 'almost friends.' " Amelia explained, thankful that she could speak without stuttering.

Amelia chose her words carefully. One question lingered in her mind; did he see the photos?

"Almost friends, mm?" Eliodoro asked, sounding slightly sarcastic.

Amelia didn't miss it.

"Yes." She confirmed.

"Who did you meet first? Him or I?"

'Jealousy.' A voice in Amelia's head whispered.

"I met you first." She replied.

Eliodoro's lips stretched slightly. Too slightly, it was unseen.
'Good answer.' He thought.

"What were you doing in his arms?"

"What?"

"Both of you, in a Porshe, late at night, right in front of your home. What was that?"

"Oh my God!" Amelia exclaimed. She quickly ran to sit beside him on the couch.

"I'm really so sorry. I should have told you, but I thought you'll get angry. I'm really so sorry, I..."

"Answer my question." He interrupted her with a stern voice and facial expression.

Amelia stood, taking three steps away from him.

"We went out together. He kept asking and i..." Before she could complete the sentence, Eliodoro stood, closing the gap between them before she had the chance to run.

"Ahh!!" Amelia screamed slightly, stunned at his sharp movements.

"I'm listening." Eliodoro said.

"Uhm..well, he asked that I go out with him. I thought it was harmless, so I agreed. It actually turned out to be harmless." Amelia explained.

"A date." Eliodoro rephrased.

"Uh....uhm...not really. I..."

"You went on a date with a guy. Do you have any idea whose girl you are?" He asked, his eyes slowly turning red.

"I'm sorry." Amelia quickly apologized.

"Sorry?"

"I'm really sorry. It'll never happen again, I just didn't know how....okay, no excuses. I'm sorry. I'm very sorry. Please, don't get angry. I really get scared when you're angry." Amelia said, tears gathering at the corners of her eyes.

"Why did you refuse to meet me earlier?" Eliodoro fired yet another question.

"I'm also sorry about that. My mum suddenly showed up, she has no idea I have a boyfriend. She's a perfectionist, she....she's just filled with morals. I had no chance of leaving the house. I'm sorry."

"Why did you refuse so arrogantly?"

"I'm sorry!!" Amelia begged, clasping her palms together.

Now that she was in front of him, and he was speaking to her, she realized that she had really committed a lot of atrocities.

"I'm really sorry. I'll be a good girl, going forward." She apologized prettily.

Eliodoro scoffed.

"You looked so happy in that photo. Maybe you should go be with Alexander." Eliodoro said, jamming his palms in his pockets.

"What? What....what..what do you mean?" Amelia asked, refusing to believe what she had already concluded he meant.

"We're done, Amelia. Whatever this was is over. Leave." He said and turned his back to her.

"No!!" Amelia screamed. Loudly. Too loudly.

"No no no! Listen, I.."

"I hate to repeat my self." Eliodoro said.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do any of these things. I didn't mean them, please."

"Just go away." Eliodoro hissed.

"No, I won't! I won't go! You can't misunderstand me like this. I'm really sorry. You know that I can't cheat on you, right? It was just a harmless outing, I promise. He asked me to be his girlfriend, but I refused. I'm so serious, I refused! I told him I have a boyfriend, and he's so dear to me. Please, Eliodoro. Don't do this, please. Give us another chance. I'm sorry. I'll obey you and only you, I'll.."

"Breathe." Eliodoro interrupted her.

Amelia swallowed. God! She was actually choking.

Eliodoro slowly turned around, and faced her.

Not minding if he was angry or not, she wrapped her small arms around his neck for an embrace.

~~

Alexander pressed his foot against the acceleration harshly. His fingers gripped the stirring like as though his life depended on it. Red eyes, scattered hair, hard face, busy mind, shattering heart.

Alexander pressed his foot against the acceleration even harder.

"Nothing is working!!" He yelled, as he drove madly.

His relationship with Amelia, his contract, his relationship with his parents,

"Nothing is working!!! Nothing!" He yelled out loud.
