At iSafe, we believe lasting community development begins with local people taking the lead.

As a local organisation, our work continues to strengthen communities by equipping young people, women, girls and other community actors with relevant skills, knowledge and opportunities to take action on the issues that affect them.

From skills development and economic empowerment to safe migration, anti-trafficking, safety and protection, we are building local capacity and supporting communities to become active drivers of their own development.

This World Humanitarian Day, we reaffirm our commitment to locally led solutions, stronger community ownership and sustainable change.

ON THE STREET WITH iSafe.

As part of our commemoration of World Youth Skills Day 2026, we launched our vox pop series, “On the Street with iSafe,” taking the conversation beyond the classroom and into the streets.

We engaged young people to hear their views on skills development, opportunities, and the importance of equipping youths with relevant skills for the future.

On the Street with iSafe. The streets have stories. People have perspectives. And every voice has something to say. This truth birthed a vox pop series with the title “On the Street with iSafe”
The series will engage people from different backgrounds and walks of life in conversations around issues that affect our communities, young people, migration, skills, safety, opportunities and everyday life.
From thought provoking questions to unexpected answers, we will be taking conversations beyond office and close doors into the streets, meeting people where they are and hearing what they think. As we commemorate World Youth Skills Day 2026, under the theme “Skills for a Shared Future,” we celebrate the transformative power of skills in shaping lives, strengthening communities, and preparing young people for an evolving world of work.

At iSafe Global Consulting Hub, this commitment goes beyond today. As a youth-led organization, we have trained, empowered, and referred over 5,000 young people in fashion designing, solar installation, adire production, digital skills, business development, soft skills, and other industry-relevant competencies that equip them for opportunities both locally and globally.

Our commitment continues through our partnership in the ongoing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiative, where young people make up over 95% of the learners at our centre. Every learner represents another step towards building a more skilled, productive, and resilient workforce.

Today, we celebrate every young person who has chosen to learn, grow, and invest in their future. We also reaffirm our commitment to expanding access to quality skills development, creating opportunities, and empowering more young people to thrive in an increasingly dynamic world.
