The Women Affairs/Poverty Alleviation Department of Itire–Ikate Local Council Development Area hereby announces the commencement of registration for admission into the 2026 Summer Shoe and Bag Leatherwork Training Programme.

The programme is designed to equip participants with practical skills in shoe and bag leatherwork, promoting self-employment and economic empowerment.

In furtherance of its unwavering commitment to educational development and equal access to learning opportunities, the Itire–Ikate Local Council Development Area, under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Oluwafemi Daniel Odunayo, has commenced the distribution of free General Certificate Examination (GCE) registration forms to deserving indigent students across the Council Area.

The initiative, which includes a screening exercise to ensure that only qualified and genuinely indigent applicants benefit from the programme, reflects the administration's dedication to empowering young people through education and providing meaningful support to students in pursuit of their academic aspirations.

Speaking on the initiative, Hon. Oluwafemi Daniel Odunayo reaffirmed his administration's resolve to continue investing in programmes that promote educational excellence, youth empowerment, and human capital development.
