AMG Youth and Student Support Group Holds Maiden Meeting in Alignment with APC Gubernatorial Movement

The AMG Youth and Student Support Group under the guidance and mentorship of our Grand patron the Most. Dist Sen. Mohammed Tahir Monguno Esq, the Chief Whip of the 10th Assembly, pleased to announce the successful holding of its first official meeting, marking a significant milestone in its formation and organizational direction.

The group reaffirmed its alignment with the political movement of Engr. Mustapha Gubio, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial flag bearer, whose vision for development, youth inclusion, and good governance continues to attract widespread grassroots support.

Day Four: Gubio Receives Fresh Endorsements as Support Continues to Grow Across Borno

The fourth day of solidarity and congratulatory visits to the APC Gubernatorial Candidate in Borno State, Engr. Mustapha Gubio , FNSE, witnessed another impressive gathering of support groups, professional associations, youth organizations, and community representatives who came to identify with his candidature and pledge their support.

The entire members of AMG Youth and Students Support Group heartily congratulate the Distinguished Senator Mohammed Tahir Monguno, the Chief Whip of the Senate and Senator representing Borno North Senatorial District, on his appointment as the Grand Patron of the group following extensive consultations with stakeholders, youths, students, community leaders, and political associates across Borno State.

This appointment is in recognition of his outstanding leadership, unwavering loyalty, political experience, and remarkable contributions to the growth and development of Borno State and Nigeria at large.

Zulum: Tinubu Wins APC Presidential Primary in Borno with 414,988 Votes

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has declared President Bola Ahmed Tinubu winner of the All Progressives Congress presidential primary election in Borno State after securing 414,988 votes across the 27 local government areas of the state.

Announcing the results on Saturday at the APC State Secretariat in Maiduguri, Governor Zulum, who served as the State Collation Officer for the exercise, said the primary election was conducted peacefully across all local government areas.

“The presidential primary election organized by the APC was successfully conducted today, the 23rd of May, 2026, across the 27 local government areas of the state,” Zulum stated.

He disclosed that a total of 430,715 voters were registered for the exercise, out of which about 416,000 delegates and party members were accredited.

According to him, “Out of the 430,715 registered voters in Borno State, 416,000 were accredited, while a total of 414,988 votes were cast.”

Governor Zulum explained that two aspirants contested for the party’s presidential ticket in the state, namely President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Mr. Stanley Osifo.

He said President Tinubu secured all the valid votes cast during the exercise, while his challenger polled zero votes.

“A total of 414,988 votes were cast in favour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while his contender scored zero votes in Borno State,” the governor announced.

Declaring the final result, Zulum said: “Therefore, I, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, the State Collation Officer, hereby announce President Bola Tinubu, who scored 414,988 votes in Borno State, as the winner of the presidential primary election in Borno State held today, 23rd of May, 2026, to the glory of God and to the benefit of mankind.

Tinubu Sweeps Borno APC Presidential Primaries as Massive Turnout Rocks 312 Wards

Members of the All Progressives Congress in Borno State on Saturday turned out in large numbers to overwhelmingly endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the party’s presidential primary election conducted across the 312 wards of the state.

From the Maiduguri metropolis to remote hinterland communities, enthusiastic party supporters queued behind the portrait of President Tinubu in the direct primary exercise, demonstrating strong solidarity and support for his candidacy ahead of the 2027 general elections.

At Mafa Ward, Babagana Umara Zulum delivered 2,175 votes representing 100 percent support for President Tinubu in his polling ward.

Similarly, the APC gubernatorial candidate, Engr. Mustafa Gubio, participated in the exercise at Gubio 1 Ward in Gubio Local Government Area, where he delivered 5,980 votes for the President.

Speaking after the exercise, Gubio commended residents for the impressive turnout and pledged continued mobilisation ahead of the general elections.

“You have seen how people have turned out. The turnout is massive. I therefore want to thank the people of Gubio that came from far and near to their respective wards to go out and elect Mr. President,” Gubio said.

“And Insha Allah, we will continue to mobilize people to see that in the main election, people of Gubio will vote massively for Mr. President, the Vice President, and also in the other elections,” he added.

Engr. Gubio also assured Governor Zulum that Gubio Local Government would deliver overwhelming votes for the APC in the forthcoming elections.

Across the state, members of the National Assembly equally delivered their respective wards and local government areas to President Tinubu during the exercise.

The presidential primary election was conducted peacefully amid large turnouts of party supporters in Biu, Askira/Uba, Malam Fatori, Monguno, Nganzai, Maiduguri metropolis, Jere, Kwaya Kusar, and other local government areas across the state.

APC Primary: Tinubu Wins 100% in Zulum’s Ward

President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant for the 2027 general elections, has recorded a clean sweep in Mafa Ward of Borno State – the home ward of Governor Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum.

The direct primary election was conducted at Mafa Central Primary School and presided over by the Chairperson of the Presidential Primary Election Committee, Hajiya Inna Alkali Imam.

Tinubu polled 2,175 votes out of the total number of votes cast, representing 100% of all valid votes in the ward. Mafa Ward has 2,277 registered party members, and the exercise saw an impressive turnout, with nearly all registered members participating in the primary.

The other contestant, Stanley Osifo, a businessman and APC chieftain from Edo State, scored zero votes.

Babagana Umara Zulum, who serves as the Coordinator and Collation Officer for the presidential primary election in the state, said he was in Mafa to witness and participate in the exercise.

“I am from Mafa Ward, and that is why I am here to witness and participate in the exercise. We have two candidates, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Mr Stanley Osifo,” Zulum stated.

Governor Zulum, who also cast his vote, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the primary and the enthusiasm of party faithful. “So far so good, we have contacted the presidential primary election for Mafa ward, and I am very impressed with the turnout. We have a total of about 2,277 registered party members in Mafa ward, out of which 2,175 were accredited for the voting, and all of them voted for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while the other candidate scored zero,” Zulum said.

The APC presidential primary continues across the country, with final results expected to be announced at a later date.
