HON. TIZA RECEIVES UPDATE ON BENUE YOUTH HELP DESK WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT, AS GBENDA LAUDS INITIATIVE

The Honourable Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Creativity and Director, City Boy Movement, Tiza Isaac Imojime Orya, has received a first-hand briefing on the progress of the Benue Youth Help Desk Website currently under development.

The briefing took place yesterday at the headquarters of the Benue Digital Infrastructure Company (BDIC) in Makurdi during a joint meeting between the BDIC technical team led by Samson Dzungwe and the Commissioner's team led by Mrs Deborah Ikyoive. The meeting was convened at the instance of the Honourable Commissioner to review the progress and operational framework of the platform.

The Youth Help Desk website is designed as a digital platform aimed at providing young people across the state with an accessible channel to job opportunities, report issues, lodge complaints, and seek assistance on matters affecting their welfare.

Also present at the meeting was the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Illegal Levies and Youth Mobilization, Hon. Terver Gbenda, who commended the initiative and described it as a potential legacy project of the Commissioner if successfully launched and fully operational.

According to Gbenda, the platform will play a crucial role in curbing illegal activities within the state while also providing students and young people with a credible avenue to channel their complaints and seek timely intervention from relevant authorities.

He further noted that the initiative aligns with the broader efforts of the state government to promote transparency, accountability, and youth inclusion in governance.

Hon. Tiza reiterated his commitment to ensuring that the platform becomes fully operational, stressing that the Youth Help Desk will serve as a vital bridge between the government and young people across Benue State.

The Benue Youth Help Desk is pleased to announce that, through the collaborative efforts of the Benue Digital Infrastructure Company (BDIC) and our team, significant progress is being recorded toward the full establishment of the Benue Youth Help Desk under the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Creativity, headed by the Honourable Commissioner, Hon. Tiza Isaac Imojime Orya.

Our recent meeting at the BDIC Headquarters reviewed the development of the official Benue Youth Help Desk website, which has now reached approximately 65% completion. This milestone reflects our shared commitment to creating a functional digital platform that will effectively serve the youths of Benue State.

We sincerely appreciate the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, for his unwavering dedication to youth empowerment and development across the state.

We also extend our profound gratitude to the Honourable Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Creativity, Hon. Tiza Isaac Imojime Orya, and the Director-General/CEO of the Benue Digital Infrastructure Company, Mr. Terwase Gbande, for their continued support and strategic collaboration.

REGISTRATION OPENS FOR BENUE GOVERNMENT’S 23,000 YOUTH DIGITAL SKILLS TRAINING

The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Creativity, under the leadership of Honourable Commissioner, Hon. Tiza Isaac Imojime Orya, in collaboration with the Benue Digital Infrastructure Company PLC (BDIC) headed by Mr. Gbande Hembaor Terwase, is pleased to announce the ongoing free registration for the training of 23,000 Benue youths in digital skills.

This training initiative, powered by the Benue State Government through BDIC is designed to equip young people with a wide range of digital competencies, from basic tech literacy to advanced digital and ICT skills. It offers participants a direct pathway to global employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship opportunities.

The establishment of the Benue Youth Help Desk, coordinated by Mrs Deborah Kyoive, further strengthens our commitment to ensuring that every young person in Benue State has access to resources, guidance, and opportunities for growth.
