ADC Announces Tukur Ribadu as Adamawa Governorship Candidate for 2027
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced Tukur Ribadu as its candidate for the Adamawa State governorship election scheduled for 2027.
Ribadu, in a statement, expressed appreciation to the ADC National Working Committee (NWC) for what he described as fairness, honesty and a sense of justice in resolving the controversy surrounding the party’s governorship primary.
He said the primary process faced several challenges, including disputes and appeals, but noted that his team presented evidence challenging the initial outcome.
According to Ribadu, the ADC NWC considered the petition and subsequently declared that his team won the primary and should fly the party’s flag in the 2027 Adamawa governorship election.
He also thanked the ADC Adamawa executive, coordinators and supporters for their support, while calling for unity ahead of the 2027 election.
Ribadu further unveiled his development agenda for Adamawa and urged voters to support ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and other party candidates in the 2027 general election.
