*A NEW ERA OF ONENESS & PROGRESS*

Leadership is not merely about occupying a position; it is about having the courage to step forward, the willingness to serve, and the humility to put the interests of the people above personal ambitions.

Today, I celebrate my brother, Engr. Adepoju Umar-Faruk (AUF), for choosing to offer himself for public service as a candidate for the Oyo State House of Assembly, Ogbomoso North State Constituency, under the Accord Party.

This journey is bigger than a campaign poster. It is about representation, responsibility and the desire to contribute meaningfully to the development of our community. I believe every individual who steps forward to serve deserves to be heard, questioned and assessed based on character, competence, vision and commitment to the people.

I also recognise the importance of unity in our community. Politics may give us different opinions and affiliations, but it should never take away our respect for one another. We can disagree politically and still remain brothers, sisters, friends and neighbours.

To the people of Ogbomoso North and Oyo State, this is a time to pay attention to the issues that affect us—education, employment, infrastructure, healthcare, security, youth development, women empowerment and the overall welfare of our people.

Let us listen to what every candidate has to offer. Let us ask questions. Let us examine their records, character and plans. Most importantly, let us participate in the democratic process responsibly and make choices based on what we genuinely believe will serve our communities.

To my brother, AUF, I wish you wisdom, strength, humility and the courage to remain committed to the people throughout this journey. May your desire to serve be guided by sincerity and may you always remember that public office is ultimately a responsibility to the people.

May this political season bring healthy conversations rather than division, unity rather than hatred, and progress rather than setbacks.
Our community deserves leadership that listens. Our people deserve representation that works. Our future deserves our collective attention.
May peace, wisdom and progress guide us all. 🙏

🗣 ENGR. ADEPOJU UMAR-FARUK (AUF 2027).

*A QUESTION OF PRIORITY:*

Tomorrow, the people of Osun State will go to the polls to decide the direction of their state.

One thing that has caught my attention is how development has been taken beyond the state capital. A flyover has been delivered in Ife, a major project in a city outside Osogbo.

And then I look at home.

Here in Ogbomoso, Takie is not just a place where traffic builds up. It is a point where lives are put at risk. The congestion, the accidents, the delays, the daily struggle of motorists and pedestrians, these are not new problems.

So I keep asking myself

If development is truly about responding to the needs of the people, why has Takie remained without the infrastructure required to address a problem that has persisted for years?

This is not about saying one state is perfect and another is not. It is about understanding what leadership should mean.

Development should not be concentrated around the capital or where it is politically convenient. It should follow the people. It should follow the need. It should go where the problem is greatest.

Sometimes, the most important project is not the biggest project.

It is the one that saves lives, reduces suffering and transforms the daily reality of ordinary people.

Ogbomoso deserves that kind of thinking too.

Another promise fulfilled!

Today, Hon. Adepoju Umar-Faruk (AUF) provided a borehole for the people of Sabo/Taara ward, ensuring access to clean and safe water. This is leadership that delivers real impact and puts the needs of the people first.
