CHAPTER ONE
YOU'RE NOT MY FATHER
PROLOGUE
At birth, the baby had weighed a whooping eight pounds, her mother had not been able to deliver the natural way, she would lose her life if she did so she had been advised to opt for Caesarean.
Although the baby was fat, she was nonetheless cute, with long eyelashes that fanned her face, fair creamy skin and lips with natural pink coloring, she was named Victoria after her great grandmother
Everyone loved Victoria, but not everyone had the strength to carry her, at the age of two, Victoria was rolypoly, always eating anything Her hands could touch, chocolates, candies, biscuits...everything and she got chubbier and chubbier with each passing day.
At the age of ten, Victoria Gates started getting self awareness, she would see girls her age looking totally different from her, they were slim and she was fat and they made fun of her, they called her bad names, she went home with tears to meet her mother
" mom! Why am I so fat!! Why am I being bullied because I'm fat "
Her mom had consoled her and she told her that she has baby fat and very soon she was going to lose all those baby fat and she'll be slim
She held on to the promise but as the years rolled by, she didn't lose weight instead she got fatter and when she was fifteen, staring at her mother's round plump figure, she realized something, she was never going to lose weight, she was going to remain fat forever and it broke her heart.
That same year, they relocated from thier house in the mainland, Victoria, (now there's one thing, when Victoria turned fifteen, she hated the name Victoria, she hated the way people drawled the name like an insult " viiiictooooriaaaaa" if she was fat, there was no need to make her name fat, so if anyone asked her what her name was, she simply told them Tori) Tori had to change schools when they relocated
She was admitted in state high, and her life there was hell, she was bullied and made fun of, there were times she would just feel like taking her life
The first day Tori fell in love was the day she lay her eyes on Viktor Peterson, the hottest guy in state high, it was an hopeless crush, it was something she knew too well but that didn't still stop her from crushing.
Tori's school life was a mess until Erica
came into the school, Erica was a crazy girl, she fought off Tori's bullies and then she was placed in a team with Erica and two other girls, Sasha and Shanaya
Shanaya was the weird one, an Indian girl, everyone stayed away from Shanaya because of her long finger nails that could ruin one's faces but there was another thing about Shanaya, she has strange powers
And then there was Sasha, Sasha was the baddest bitch in State high, the prettiest of them all, she was half American and half Nigerian and she had long brown hair that went past her waist
Weeks later, the four of them signed up for a very dangerous combination, the DREAM GIRL DANCE COMPETITION, they had dubbed themselves the TESS GIRLS and TESS means Tori, Erica, Sasha and Shanaya, the competition had been a struggle, they had almost gotten killed but with Sasha's dance trainings, Erica's enthusiasm and encouragement, Shanaya's powers and Tori... Just her presence alone
They had managed to win, Sasha Grey became the dream girl, TESS girls became the dream girls and Tori went from being fat to being slim, from being unpopular to being one of the most popular girls in state high school
But there was one memory Tori would never forget, the day her father had kissed her, her father had always kissed her, sometimes on the forehead, but most of the time it was just a tiny kiss on the lips but that day was different, that day, Erica, Sasha and Shanaya had come over to her house, while they were going back, they had beaten up two of her neighbors daughters, Chloe and Jessica, Chloe and Jessica were one of those girls that had always made Tori's life very miserably, but unfortunately for them the girls father was actually a military man
Tori had been so scared to return home that day she was tiptoeing into the house when she saw her father and he kissed her, squarely on the lips, passionately, almost taking off her top, Tori had questioned him about it and he had promised that he would never repeat such act and he never did, until today!
Tori had packed some of her clothes into a travelling bag, a lot of things have changed, since the competition, the exams were now over and it's time to leave for summer camp, Tori was dressed in a body hugging blue gown that was slanted in one side, it was a kind of outfit that she could never dream of wearing before but now she was slim and she could do everything she wants to even if it means dumping sixteen boyfriend in two weeks.
She wanted to say goodbye to her mother before leaving, she, Erica and Sasha had agreed to meet at Sasha's house so they could go together, she knocked on her mom's bedroom door and she remembered her mom had travelled very early in the morning
So she went to tell her father instead
His bedroom door was open she didn't see any reason to knock, so she walked in
" dad I'm leaving for summer camp!!!! Aren't you gonna miss me "
" of course I'll miss you, come and give daddy a hug "
She dashed into his outstretched arms, she had always loved her father's smell, he smelled of aftershave and something else she couldn't really name
He was dressed in his casual outfit, grey shorts and white polo, but as she hugged him, she noticed something strange, there was something hard, poking against her body
Tori gasped in sheer horror at the stunning realization that her father was getting an er****on, she staggered backwards, her eyes filled with shock and bewilderment as she stared into her father's eyes.
She searched his features, looking for something that would show that he was sorry but she saw none, the only thing she saw in his face was a grim resolve
" Vicky...i.. I.. Know. It's... Wrong but there's no way I can stop this madness...,it could.. Be.. Your first time.. But.. I'll be gentle "
Her father said before holding her arms, pulling her firmly against him
Tori squirmed, she was helpless, her mom was miles away from here, even if she screamed, no one would hear her, as his fingers gripped the material of her blue gown, with every intention to tear it off, Tori screamed, she didn't know where the strength came from, she kicked him as hard as she could, in the groin and he went to his knees, groaning and swearing
" you're not my father, you're an animal and if I'll ever lose my virginity, it will not be to you..."
With her fingers shaking and tears rolling down her face, Tori wheeled her travelling bag and bolted out of the house to summer camp.
🥀Chapter one 🥀
Tori couldn't bear to go to Sasha's house after what just happened, Sasha would take a look at her damp face and instantly sense that something was wrong, Erica would take a look at her face and would ask her who was the useless person that caused her to cry so she could beat him.
Instead she had gone to school to take the school bus, although she hated the front seat, it was the best place to be if
One wanted to be left alone.
She didn't know how many hours she spent in the bus, she couldnt even hear the noisy chattering of different students in the bus, she was just so lost in her thoughts, how could her father do that to her!
She barely noticed the billboards on the way, most of them had Sasha's face on it, Sasha was the ambassador for carbury and four other companies
She felt a tap on her legs and she stiffened in awareness
" miss, we've gotten to Havillah"
The driver said with a kind smile, that was when Tori noticed that the bus had
stopped and all the students had left the bus
" oh thanks! "
She said as she scrambled house, although Havillah was a house, it was more than just a house, it was a mansion that could accommodate hundreds of people, it was situated in Ondo state and it was said to be close to the river Owena.
Tori gaped in surprise at the magnificent house, once upon a time, she would have shrinked at the idea of camping with hundreds of students but now she was simply looking forward to it.
People waved at her " hi T!"
Ever since the competition, everyone simply called her T, she waved back but as hard as she tried she couldn't smile back
She felt a hand around her shoulders and to her relief, it was Jayne Eji, the school's information portal
" hi Jayne! "
" I thought you would be coming with the girls "
" oh! Shoot, I forgot to tell Sasha to stop waiting for me! "
Tori exclaimed, dipping her hand into her hand bag to take her purse, but she felt nothing, but she remember putting her phone in her purse and putting it in her bag
" my purse! My phone!! I can't find it "
Tori groaned
" oh sorry dear, you've just been given a very grand welcome "
Jayne said trying so hard not to smile
" what do you mean "
" it means the professional thieves in state high have stolen your purse, when three classes are merged together in a place, you're sure to meet people with different characters, you need to be so careful here unless they even might steal you "
Jayne said clutch her own purse firmly in her hands
" this is terrible!"
" like I said earlier, welcome to summer camp, welcome to Havillah, now let me tell you all about summer camp "
Jayne said as she and Tori walked.
