Chapter 40

🥀 Kelly's POV cont ☘️

I walked into the kitchen and flipped my refrigerator door open and grabbed a bottle of water. I moved towards the ranger as I took a glass and poured out some content for myself.

I zipped it down my throat and sighed as the cold water cool my entire body. I dropped back the glass as I return back to my bedroom.

I climbed into my bed and tried forcing myself to sleep.

☘️ Kylie POV ☘️

It's was finally another beautiful morning and I was already up, I couldn't actually sleep very well last night because my mind kept going to my boss.

I don't want to ever gets into his trouble again. I don't really want to lose this well paid job that God has blessed me with.

Though my boss was being a little friendly this days but that doesn't mean I should cross my boundaries. I really don't want to loose this job especially now that he had even added to my salary.

If I could save up for six months I will be able to get my mum's surgery and see her doing better and up again,so I want to really focus more on my job and not anything else.

I stood up from my bed and hurried over to my restroom. I eased myself and grabbed my toothbrush. I added toothpaste and started brushing my teeth.

I rushed out of the restroom and packed up my messed her as I made my way to the kitchen. It's was still a little dark outside,so I guess I have really woke up early.

I walked over to the food roaster to what I will be making this morning.

"Sandwich," I mouthed as I walked over to the kitchen cabinets. I picked out the ingredients that I would be using to make the sandwich as I proceeded into the preparation immediately.

I was done making the sandwich after some time,as I covered it's up in a food truck.

I walked back into my bedroom because they was still enough time for me to rest before doing other work. I relaxed back into my bed until it was 6:30 am.

Chapter 39

☘️ Kelly's POV ☘️

I called to her but she didn't listen she left the kitchen in a haste like something was pursing her out of the kitchen.

"Did I say something that offended her." I asked myself and tried to recall all what we have been talking about.

All I know we talked about was about my story and for her to teach me how to cook.

I didn't actually spoke rudely to her. I was polite enough through out our conversation,so what could be wrong now.

I tried to think about what could possibly make her run out the kitchen the way she didn't but yet nothing was coming. I sighed frustrated.

"Maybe I should just ask her what happened instead of killing myself thinking about it when I still couldn't get anything reasonable." I told myself as started walking out of the kitchen.

I walked straight to her room and stopped at her room door and breathe out before knocking at her door.

"Yes who's there?" She asked from inside.

"It's me Kelly." I answered.

"Sir please don't you need anything?" She asked.

"Not really, I just want to have a word with you." I told her.

"I'm sorry sir but I'm feeling sleepy right now, can't it wait until tomorrow?" She asked.

"Yes, it can, good night then." I said,

"Ok, good night sir." She replied as I walked out of her door.

I walked over to my room and flipped opened the door before walking in as I shut the door behind me. I moved towards my bed and laid down. I tried to sleep but sleep was so far from me. I kept rolling in my bed.

"Why can't I slept?" I asked no one in particular as my mind drifted off to my cook.

Honestly I have come to like that lady so very much, that I kept wondering why I would have such a feeling for an ordinary cook. She wasn't classy and fashionable but she was cute and sexy.

"So that was what happened."

"Oh, I'm really so sorry, I know understand why she doesn't want you to be seen in the kitchen."

"Yeah I understand but sometimes I really wished I could really cook."

"I understand but you don't have to cook, you are still her only child remembered."

"Yeah but I'm all grown up now and that is an evidence that I should start cooking now."

"I'm that's.. I don't really know."

"You can just tell me when you would start teaching me how to cook."

"Oh that, I don't know but pretty soon."

"Ok then, I will be waiting for you." He smiled exposing his diphole and her heart melt at the man before her.

He was just too cute and she can't help but fall for his cute face and smiled 😊. She felt like pulling him into a hug but she dare not do anything stupid. Honestly she was starting to develop feeling for this man besides her but she wouldn't make sure a mistake no matter what.

"Good night sir, I should go to bed." She said in a hurry as she walked out of the kitchen.

"Wait." He was saying but she had already walked very far.

"That's so surprising though." She replied

"What is so surprising?" I asked.

"The fact that you said you like cooking but yet, you don't even know how to cook."

"Oh about that, actually when I was younger I ended going to the kitchen whenever I saw it was time for the cook to make either breakfast, lunch or dinner but my mum always yells at me whenever she saw me in the kitchen with the cook and that's previous me from being able to learn the cook proceeds."

"Hmm," she exhaled. "Your mum must be very strict then."

"Yeah, she is strict, but I think she doesn't want me to cook because she was actually scared of losing me."

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"She lost my sister, through cooking in the kitchen, that 's why she stopped cooking totally before she finally had me."

"Oh mine, what really happened to your sister, can you tell me?" She asked politely.

"Well, my sister was only two years old when it's happened, I wasn't even able to meet her."

"Oh so sorry about that, but what really happened?"

🥀Flash back 🥀

She was cooking in the kitchen with her two years old daughter. She was actually making eggs sauce and he oil was already in the fire 🔥 when, her cell phone started ringing. He husband was calling. She hurriedly Left the food she was making a when to pick her cellphone on the dinning room.

She walked back into the kitchen but saw a little daughter on the floor with the hot food all over her body.

Hot tears 😭poured out from her eyes as she hurried up to her daughter on the floor. She saw the little girl in a serious pain. Her little skin was already pulling off. She grabbed her daughter into her shoulder and walked out of the house. She took her to the hospital but before the doctor could attend to her she was already dead.

☘️ Kelly's view ☘️

I was done washing the dishes, I tried arranging them but couldn't. I laughed at myself. I can't believe I don't even know how to arrange dishes into where they are kept and I don't even know where to keep them.

I stood confused and I didn't know what to do. She saw as I stood confused holding the dishes.

I could see she was trying so hard to hold her laughter. I didn't blame her though, it was enough to laugh, I could not know how to do anything in my own house.

I don't even know where some of my belongings are kept. She walked towards me.

"Let me help you with that." She tried to take them from me, but I knew I wouldn't be able to keep them. I don't even know where to keep them.

I watched her arrange them into their place and also learned how to do it.

"You know you can teach me how to do some stuff around the house," I said

"Some stuff like what?" She asked looking at me

"Like cooking," I replied.

"Ok, but you don't need to learn how to do that, you already have a cook who can do that for you." She said,

"But I want to or are you scared you might lose your job once I learn it." I teased her.

"What are you talking about?" She smiled

"You know I'm telling the truth,".

"No that's not it, actually you have very, so it's good you still give some of your money to other people that need it."

"Well you are right though, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't teach me to cook, sometimes I might just want to eat food made by myself. since my mom didn't bother teaching me maybe you can do that though."

"Hmm," she exhaled. "Well, I will say your mom didn't teach you because you didn't go to her in the kitchen when she was cooking."

"Well maybe you are right though but my mum isn't the type that cooks, we have so many maids and cooks she would get into the kitchen to do that,"

"Ahhh that's how to know the rich, anyway, you can just keep paying us to do the work for you."

"Sir please it's my duties as the cook to do that, you can't possibly do that, I get paid for that." I pleaded

"Why are you so stubborn?" He asked

"I'm sorry sir for being stubborn but I can't allow you do this dishes while, I get paid for doing it." I said.

"OK fine, allow me do it for just today, I promise to let you do always without any disturbance." He said in an assuring manner.

"You promised that it's just today right." I asked to be sure.

"Yes I promise." "Ok." I gave way for him to go through.

He walked into the kitchen with the dishes and dropped them on the sink. He took the soap and sponge and was about washing them.

"I thought you would allow me do the dishes?" I asked

"I didn't say that, I will do it myself don't worry, it's just today though, so you can just sit back and watch me do that Ok." He said and smiled 😊, revelling his white set of teeth and his diphole and I could feel my heart flattered that smile.

He is just so cute and sexy, anyone will fall for that smile 😊. I couldn't just help it but staring lovely at him as we washed the dishes.

I wished I could stay in the kitchen with him all day and watch him but that's impossible because he would definitely get mad at me if he caught me staring.

I don't want to be doom, I don't want to get into his bad side. I just need to be careful not to get fired.

He is so cute and hot but he is also a fire 🔥 that is always ready to burn anyone who is not careful with them. I don't really want to get burnt with him,so I believe watch my back.

As I washed the dishes I turned back occasionally to stare at her, she is so good looking and amazing, her lips 💋 are always pressed together calling me for a kiss 😘.

I'm not the kind of guy that dull over a lady but this lady standing beside me make me dull. I just can't help it, I always wants to be close to her.

I placed my hand ✋ on my racing heart trying to make it stable.

I need to start preparing it, instead of being scared and ending up not doing anything.

I walked over to the cabinet and brought out the ingredients ignore my fears.

I have to get it a trial, besides he wouldn't just come directly to the kitchen for his dinner. He will rather go and have his bath before thinking of any dinner.

I started cooking dinner and slowly my fears of him coming to meet me half way in the cook died away.

I tried to make totally sure, I prepared everything on ground before proceeding.

The food was finally ready and I slowly stepped out of the kitchen to see if my boss was already in the dinning room.

I couldn't find him in the dinning and I walked passed the sitting room and saw him seated in a couch watching TV 🖥️.

I slowly walked out to the kitchen without him noticing. I took his food to the dinning room and went over to the sitting room to call him for dinner.

"Sir dinner is served" I announced.

"Oh okay," he stood up from the couch and dropped back the remote control on the glass table and walked behind me into the dinning room.

He pulled out a chair for himself and sat and I started dishing out the food immediately.

"You prepared dinner late today what happened?"

"I..I.. I'm"I stuttered

"You want?"

"I'm so so..rry s..ir it wasn't intentional."

"Ok whatever," he said and started eating.

I stared at him a little as he ate before walking out of the dinning room.

I sat down slowly on the couch and waited patiently for him to finished eating so I could go and washed the dishes. I remembered I haven't served the security men outside.

I walked over to the kitchen and dished out their food and took it to them.

As I walked into the sitting room I saw my boss taking the dishes to the kitchen.

Since I became a shadow of myself,no one has ever stood up to me before like she did the other day.

I was still deep in my thoughts before someone knocked at my door interrupting my thoughts.

"Who's there come in," I frowned and my secretary walked into my office.

"Good afternoon sir," she greeted.

"Good afternoon, dear ." I replied and she widened her eyes. I could tell she was surprised it was expected. I haven't responded to all my workers in ages . So she will definitely find it shocking.

"I'm still waiting for you to say something," I sighed to bring her back to reality.

"I'm sorry sir, I'm really very sorry sir." She said about going down on her knees.

"It's fine, you don't need to go down on your knees, it's really nothing, just say what you are here for, already." I spoke up calmly and she stood up

"Here are the files you asked for sir." She said stretching it over to me.

I took them from her and started checking them out.

I raised my head up and saw her still standing there.

"Is there anything else?"

"No sir," . "Then why are you still standing there?"

"But sir, you always make us stand and wait until you finish checking out the files."

"Just go don't bother standing there, you should have other work to do right?"

"Yes sir I do,"

"Then go and attend to them."

"Ok sir" she replied and quickly walked out of my office.

I sighed and focused my attention on the files. I just hope evening comes soon, so I can go back home.
