DISCLAIMER ON THE PLANNED “UNITY RALLY AND PEACE WALK” BY A GROUP CALLED RENEWED HOPE MOVEMENT IN OSUN

The attention of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Osun State Secretariat, has been drawn to a flier being circulated by a group that calls itself Renewed Hope Movement in Osun, inviting members of the public to a programme tagged “Unity Rally and Peace Walk for PBAT + Imole.”

We wish to state clearly that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Osun State Secretariat, has no connection with this group, its organisers, its sponsors, or the said programme. The group is not known to us, it is not part of our structure, and it has no authority to speak for, act for, or represent the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Osun State.

We also find it necessary to warn members of the public against any attempt to confuse or mislead them by hiding under the name of Renewed Hope. The Renewed Hope agenda is the political and governance vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and it remains firmly rooted in the All Progressives Congress. It cannot be borrowed, twisted, manipulated or used as a cover by those whose political interest in Osun State is clearly outside the APC family.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Osun State remain loyal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC, our state leader, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, and the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji. We are not and will not be part of any arrangement that attempts to mix genuine support for Mr President with the political agenda of the Imole camp or any other opposition tendency in Osun State seeking for undeserved and unmerited recognition.

Support for President Tinubu should not be used as a disguise for activities designed to give false legitimacy to those working against the APC in Osun state. Anyone who truly believes in the Renewed Hope agenda should be bold enough to stand openly with the party that produced the President and continues to defend his vision and tendency in Osun and across the country.

For clarity, the choice of the President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the Governorship election coming up on the 15th of August, 2026 is no other person other than the candidate and flagbearer of his party All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji AMBO who will emerge victorious in the forthcoming election. We will not allow a bunch of confused politicians struggling to hold on to straws in their shattered umbrella and sinking ship to deceive the educated and enlightened people of Osun state.

We therefore dissociate ourselves completely from the planned rally and peace walk. Members of the APC, supporters of President Tinubu, and the general public are advised to disregard the programme and treat it as the activity of persons who are not part of the recognised Renewed Hope Ambassadors structure in Osun State.

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Osun State Secretariat, will continue to work with the APC leadership, party stakeholders, local government structures, ward coordinators and genuine progressive forces to strengthen grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, and all our candidates for the victory of the APC in Osun State.

Renewed Hope: Osun LGs Disburse N9b To 180,000 Residents

In tandem with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu-led administration, the 30 local governments in the state which are being controlled by the All Progressives Congress(APC), have embarked on the empowerments of one hundred and eighty thousand (180,000) residents of the state.

At fifty thousand (50,000) naira per beneficiary, a sum of nine billion naira is currently being disbursed to the people, especially those at the grassroots as form of assistance to them to shore up their means of livelihood.

Planned to run for four quarters in the year, already two quarters have been undertaken as ninety thousand (90,000) beneficiaries have already received the sum of four billion and five hundred million (4.5b) naira across the 332 wards in the state.

Speaking on the development which is already generating positive reactions among the people in the state, the State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Oluomo Sunday Akere, commended the local governments chairmen for keying into the vision of President Bola Tinubu geared towards running a purposeful leadership and making life better for the downtrodden.

The former Commissioner further praised the council bosses for the initiative, describing it as people-focused program capable of enhancing the living standard of many in the state.

According to Akere, empowering about two hundred thousand people in the state with a princely sum of nine billion naira would in the long run,have positive impact on the economy of the state and its people.

"It's heartening to note that this empowerment program embarked upon by our local governments' chairmen for 180,000 people in the state, especially those at the grassroots who are mostly artisans and farmers, among others, will invariably impact on the state economy. With fifty thousand naira to each beneficiary, nine billion naira will be sunk directly into the undertakings of the beneficiaries at the end" he said

The state coordinator stressed that the ripple effect of such investments in the people, would positively be felt by many as it would help to enhance businesses and undertakings of the downtrodden.

"We are happy that our elected local government officials across the state who are of the APC stalk,are rightly showing the way on how the state should be governed for the people at the grassroots to benefit. Chiefly, this is one of the reasons we strongly believe that the state and its people will be good for it if APC wins the coming governorsip election and President Tinubu is reelected next year" he emphasized.

While urging the chairmen not to relent in their drive for purposeful leadership which could guarantee good governance, the Igbajo-born politician implored the people to continue to support the APC.

"Our leaders, stakeholders and members of the party should continue to galvanize the interest of the people with a view to ensuring having a strong support base for APC to sail through at the coming elections. It's only when we are successful that the teeming populace can continue to benefit from our lofty programs. We should never relent in doing the needful in this regard" Akere admonished.

Meanwhile,he assured that many people-centred programs that would continue cushion any negative effect in the economy, would always be put in place for the benefit of the people.

RENEWED HOPE AMBASSADORS, OSUN STATE, COMMENDS SUCCESSFUL CONDUCT OF APC PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY

The Osun State Secretariat of Renewed Hope Ambassadors has commended the peaceful, orderly and successful conduct of the APC Presidential Primary Election across the 30 local government areas of Osun State, describing the exercise as a strong demonstration of party unity, grassroots coordination and collective commitment to the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The exercise, which recorded 100,880 accredited members and delivered all votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, reflected the discipline, loyalty and organisational strength of the APC family in Osun State. It also showed the readiness of party members, stakeholders and support structures to work together for the success of the party in future elections.

At the state level, the process was led by the State Leader of the party and Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, who served as the State Collation Officer. His presence, leadership and steady guidance gave the exercise the dignity, order and credibility expected of a united progressive family.

The Secretariat also appreciates the APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, who served as Chairman of the Committee. His active involvement from the ward level to the final collation centre further confirmed his commitment to party unity, internal democracy and the larger progressive project in Osun State.

The Osun State Coordinator of Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Oluomo Sunday Akere, served as Secretary of the Committee, while local government coordinators of Renewed Hope Ambassadors worked in conjunction with APC party chairmen as collation and presiding officers across the 30 local government areas. This arrangement further demonstrated the active role of the Secretariat in the successful coordination of the exercise from the grassroots to the state collation centre.

The Osun State Secretariat of Renewed Hope Ambassadors notes that the success of the primary is a clear indication of the movement’s strength, spread and readiness to serve as a major vehicle for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election campaign across the federation. The Secretariat remains fully prepared to deepen mobilisation, strengthen grassroots engagement and communicate the achievements and vision of the Renewed Hope administration to the people.

As the party moves towards the 15 August 2026 governorship election in Osun State, the Secretariat affirms its readiness to contribute its quota to the victory of the APC and the emergence of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji as Governor of Osun State. We are also committed to working with all relevant party structures towards the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

Once again, we sincerely appreciate our State Leader, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, our gubernatorial candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, party leaders, stakeholders, local government coordinators, APC chairmen, members and all progressive faithful who contributed to the peaceful and successful conduct of the exercise.
