Blocked drains destroy our roads!

Every year, we invest in building rural roads to connect communities, but when drains are clogged with refuse, floods take over and the roads suffer.

Together, we can make a difference!

As we build, let’s protect.
Dispose of your refuse properly. Drains are not dustbins.
Let’s work hand-in-hand to keep our roads in good condition — for farmers, traders, schoolchildren, and everyone who depends on them.

This message is proudly brought to you by the Osun Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (ORAAMP).

🙌 Together, we’re building roads and connecting lives.

! 🚜

📌 Let’s spread the word: Good roads are everyone’s responsibility.

If you're going through gender-based or domestic violence, please hear this:

You are not alone.
You are not weak.
And this is not your fault.

There is strength in speaking up.
There is help. There is hope.
And there is life beyond fear.

💬 Talk to someone.
📞 Reach out.
Take that first step — for you

Someone around you may be going through gender-based violence… and hiding it behind a smile.
We all have a role to play.

👀 Notice the signs
👂 Listen without judgment
📢 Speak up when others can't
📞 Report when you must

Silence protects abusers.
Speaking out protects survivors.

Let’s be the voice. Let’s be the difference.

Together, we can end GBV

Let’s end the silence. Let’s end the violence.

ORAAMP recently conducted an awareness outreach on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Ode-Omu, Ayedaade Local Government Area, Osun State, reaching children, parents, teachers, and traditional leaders of the town.

During the session, we educated the community on:

🔹 What is GBV?
Any harmful act directed at an individual based on gender. It includes:
• Physical abuse (hitting, slapping)
• Sexual abuse (r**e, harassment)
• Emotional/psychological abuse (threats, insults)
• Economic abuse (withholding money, denying access to resources)

🔹 Common signs to look out for:
• Unexplained bruises or fearfulness
• Withdrawal or sudden silence
• Control by a partner or family member
• Inability to access education, money, or basic rights

🔹 Everyone has a role to play:
👨‍👩‍👧 Parents – Create safe, open homes
🏫 Teachers – Listen and support
👮 Authorities – Respond swiftly and protect
🤴 Traditional leaders – Speak out, break silence
🧍‍♀️ Individuals – Know your rights and seek help

It was inspiring to see the royalties of the town standing with us, showing that real change starts with united voices.

📢 When we educate, we protect.
💛 When we listen, we heal.
✊🏾 When we act, we prevent.

Thank you, Ode-Omu, for your openness and commitment.
Let’s keep building a violence-free Osun State.

🚧 PROJECT UPDATE – Iwo–Agoro–Ikonifin Road (18.06KM) 🛣

We’re making steady progress on the Iwo–Agoro–Ikonifin Road, a key 18.06km rural road project cutting across Iwo and Ola-Oluwa Local Governments

🧱 What’s happening now?

Iwo, Agoro, Aperin Kekere, Olala 2, Olota, Isero Kekere, Fagbaibi Oke, Ikonifin, Ayede, Asape, Aba Ibadan, Isero Ila, Gaa Saidu, Akoti, Abere, Ayegunle, Aba Ayo, Aba Oniju, Gaa Okeowere, Aperin Nla, Olala 1, Orufu, Apaso, Fagbaibi, and Gaa Kilani.

💬 For these communities, this road is not just a route; it’s a lifeline.

🛠️ Tackling Erosion, Improving Access – Iwo LG Update 🚧

Construction is currently underway on the Testing Ground – Amuludun – Ile Ogbo Road in Iwo Local Government, where we’re implementing key infrastructure to combat erosion and support safer travel this rainy season.

Our ongoing work includes: 🔹 A 450-meter line drain to manage stormwater runoff
🔹 2 new culverts to maintain road stability and drainage
🔹 Grading of the road for smoother, safer mobility

These efforts are more than just construction — they’re a commitment to protecting lives, easing transportation, and enhancing daily access for rural dwellers.

Rain or shine, we keep building.
