: AAP1 REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, UNITY AND INCLUSIVE REPRESENTATION.

The ADC candidate for the Osun State House of Assembly, Ejigbo State Constituency, in the 2027 general elections, Akinyemi Phillip Alade , popularly known as AAP1, today attended the 55th Anniversary Song Service of First Baptist Church, Masifa-Ile, alongside members of the G-20.

In another engagement, AAP1 also attended the Annual Song Service of Shalom Baptist Church, Ejigbo, where he served as the Chairman of the Occasion, accompanied by members of the G-20.

These engagements provided opportunities to celebrate faith, appreciate the role of religious institutions in community development, and strengthen relationships with people across different segments of society.

As the journey towards 2027 continues, AAP1 maintains that meaningful representation goes beyond political discussions. It also involves listening to the people, identifying with community institutions, promoting unity, and supporting initiatives that contribute to the social and moral development of Ejigbo State Constituency.

His participation in these occasions reflects the importance of community connection, mutual respect, people-centred leadership, and inclusive representation in building a future where the voices and aspirations of the people remain central to public service.

IN POLITICS, EVERY LEADER CHASES A DESTINATION, BUT ONLY A FEW REMEMBER THE PEOPLE WHO MADE THE JOURNEY POSSIBLE!

Forget the selfies, the photo opportunities and the public display of political loyalty. The true test of leadership begins when the power to occupy an office is within reach, but the welfare and political future of loyal followers also demand attention.

While some former governors turn their attention to securing the next political position after leaving office, the conversation surrounding Ogbeni RAUF AREGBESOLA raises a fundamental question about leadership, loyalty and legacy: Must political ambition always come before the growth and advancement of the people who stood firmly behind a leader?

Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola had the opportunity to pursue a Senate seat after completing his tenure as Governor of Osun State. Yet, his political journey invites a broader discussion about the importance of looking beyond personal ambition and considering the aspirations of loyal followers.

In politics, many people can take pictures with supporters, make promises and enjoy the privileges of public office. But the enduring question is this: When a leader moves forward, does he remember to create a path for those who helped him get there?

For me, the legacy of a political leader should not be measured solely by the offices occupied, the titles acquired or the number of photographs shared. It should also be examined through mentorship, the development of future leaders and the opportunities created for others to grow.

Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola's political journey therefore provides an opportunity to reflect on what loyalty, political succession and responsible leadership should mean in our democracy.

One must applaud the courage to finally acknowledge the failure of our waste management system and to involve the Governor in the effort to address it.

That said, the response still feels largely performative, and the urgency appears to have arrived on the eighth day of the week.

Nonetheless, every genuine effort to restore cleanliness to our city deserves commendation.

In the coming weeks, I will unveil our holistic approach to environmental management and our commitment to Lagos and how we intend to tackle these challenges in our first 18 months in office. in office.
