Thousands of supporters converged on Iwo on Monday as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) staged a major governorship campaign rally ahead of the August 15, 2026, Osun State governorship election.
The event was led by the party's National Secretary, Ogbeni RAUF AREGBESOLA , alongside the ADC governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Dr. Najeem Folasayo Salaam (Iwaloye). Also present were Chief Taofeek Adegboyega Adegoke (Solution), the ADC governorship candidate in Oyo State, and a delegation of ADC stakeholders from Ogun State, underscoring the party's expanding regional collaboration.
Residents of Iwo and surrounding communities attended the rally in significant numbers, with supporters expressing optimism about the party's vision and readiness to participate in the forthcoming election.
Addressing the gathering, party leaders outlined the ADC's agenda, highlighting priorities such as economic development, improved education and healthcare, youth empowerment, infrastructure renewal, transparent governance, and public accountability. They encouraged voters to support the party at the polls.
The Iwo rally is one of a series of campaign engagements being held across Osun State as the ADC continues its grassroots mobilisation ahead of the governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.
