IISF Celebrates Osun Workers, Reaffirms Support for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s Re-Election
The Imole Independent Support Forum (IISF) joins workers across Osun State in celebrating the 2026 Workers’ Day and commends the resilience, sacrifice, and contributions of the workforce to the growth and development of the state.
The Forum described workers as the backbone of governance and nation-building, acknowledging the efforts of teachers, health workers, civil servants, artisans, traders, security personnel, and other categories of workers whose daily contributions keep Osun moving forward.
IISF noted that Governor Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has, within his first term, demonstrated uncommon commitment to workers’ welfare through the regular payment of salaries, settlement of inherited salary and pension arrears, promotion of workers, improved welfare packages, infrastructure renewal, healthcare interventions, educational support programmes, and engagement with organised labour.
According to the Forum, the Adeleke administration restored dignity and confidence to the public service after years of hardship experienced under previous administrations, including unpaid salaries, neglected infrastructure, and poor treatment of workers and pensioners.
The Forum urged workers and residents of the state not to forget the difficult experiences of the past, stressing that the progress currently being witnessed in Osun must be protected and sustained.
IISF therefore called on workers and citizens of Osun State to continue supporting Governor Adeleke and to vote massively for his re-election in the August 15, 2026 governorship election, describing him as a leader who has proven his commitment to workers’ welfare, responsive governance, and sustainable development.
The Forum also expressed confidence that a second term for Governor Adeleke would consolidate ongoing reforms, strengthen workers’ welfare, expand infrastructure development, improve healthcare delivery, create more opportunities for youths, and deepen partnership with organised labour.
IISF wished all workers in Osun State a peaceful and memorable Workers’ Day celebration.
