ADELEKES VISIT TO PRESIDENT TINUBU, CUSTOMARY, NO PLANS TO JOIN APC

The Imole Campaign Council wishes to state that the visit by Osun State Governor, Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke to His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday is in line with customs and political tradition at the conclusion of off cycle elections in Nigeria.

Governor Adeleke, like every other Governor who emerged victorious in an off cycle election, has a responsibility to show respect and appreciation to the office of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces whose charge in various pre-election speeches and statements was to the effect that the electoral umpire and Security agencies must allow for a free and fair election in Osun State.

The visit also afforded Mr. President as the father of the Nation and the Osun State Governor a platform to discuss issues pertaining to peace, security and progress of Osun State after the tensed election.

For the avoidance of doubt, the visit of Mr Governor and top members of his Campaign team had absolutely nothing to do with a plan to move from Accord to the All Progressives Congress as being insinuated in certain quarters.

We wish to state unequivocally that at no stage during the visit to Mr President was the issue of decamping to the APC discussed.

The Imole Campaign Council appreciates President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the opportunity of the visit and assures all supporters of Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke of the Governor’s continued commitment to the service of the good people of Osun State who stood solidly by him in the recently concluded elections.

Sorry for being inactive for the past three days😂. The handler has been having some long days of sleep!

After a successful victory for our mandate, I believe we deserved that much needed rest to recharge and get our energy back.

First, all glory and thanksgiving to God Almighty for seeing us through. What we prayed for, worked for and believed in, God crowned with victory.

To everyone who supported us throughout this journey, engaged with our posts, shared our content, defended the mandate, and stood by us even in difficult moments, Thank you! Your love and support mean more than words can explain.

We’re officially back!

And now, the real work begins again. Imole 2.0 is alive and by God’s grace, it will be a benefiting administration for all Osun citizens. The victory is not just a reason to celebrate, it is a renewed responsibility to keep the people at the centre.

Today, we celebrate not just a victory at the polls, but the triumph of a people who believed, stood firm, and defended their choice.

Governor Ademola Adeleke is, once again, the people’s Governor. His emergence and re-election were never merely about political structures; they were about the confidence the people placed in a leader whose work has spoken for him.

The people fought for their mandate, protected their choice, and today, the people have won.

For us, the Unofficial Aides, this journey has come with its own challenges. We stood through the criticism, the pressure, the doubts, the attacks and the difficult moments. We remained committed because we believed that good governance deserves to be defended and that the people deserve to have their voices heard.

This victory is a reminder that good deeds speak, service earns trust, and the people will always have the final say.

I congratulate my friend, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State and candidate of the Accord Party, on his victory in the 15 August 2026 Osun State Governorship Election.

As a leader of the opposition and a committed democrat, I commend the people of Osun State for exercising their democratic rights and reaffirming the power of the people’s mandate.

This victory is a reminder that when citizens remain committed to their civic responsibilities and make their voices heard, the people’s will must prevail.

I also commend the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the conduct of the election and encourage all stakeholders to continue to uphold the principles of credible, peaceful and transparent elections.

All of the above were intentionally and wickedly deployed against Governor Adeleke by his opponents and he still won. God Almighty is wonderful.
