*Statement of Condemnation Regarding the State of Insecurity in Ogbadibo*
_Issued by Comrade Adoyi Joseph Adoyi_
Comrade Adoyi Joseph Adoyi condemns the prevailing insecurity in Ogbadibo and calls for immediate, concerted action to protect the community and restore peace.
I wish to address the recent security situation in _Ogbadibo_ and _Owukpa_, particularly the tragic events that have resulted in loss of life and several kidnappings in our communities.
On *September 25, 2025*, the Benue State Police Command carried out a daring rescue on the Orokam‑Owukpa road after a distress call reported abducted victims near River Enumabia. A tactical team engaged the kidnappers, exchanged fire, and secured the release of four victims – *Ogbonna Ifeanyi*, *Abubu Ogochukwu*, *Caleb Mbah* (a pharmacist from Ohebe Orba), and *Ruth Chinemere* – all of whom received first aid at Orokam General Hospital before being reunited with their families.
I also wish to condemn the gruesome murder of the popular vigilante member in Owukpa, who was painfully killed while attempting to safeguard the community. I extend my heartfelt sympathy to the family, friends, and loved ones of the victim, *Mr. Edache*, also widely known as _Igboro_.
These incidents remind us how vulnerable our roads are and how crucial it is for us to remain alert, share any suspicious activity, and support the efforts of law‑enforcement agencies. Therefore, I Comrade Adoyi Joseph Adoyi call on security agencies in Ogbadibo, Benue State, and Nigeria at large to keep a close watch on all suspected armed robbers and kidnappers.
At the same time, we recognize the resilience of our people. Many of you have reached out with information, offered shelter, or simply kept the conversation going to prevent fear from taking hold. That solidarity is what keeps Ogbadibo and Owukpa strong. Let us continue to look out for one another,
_Thank you for your vigilance and for keeping the spirit of unity alive._
Stay safe.
