PATANI LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL CHAIRMAN INTERVENES TO EASE TRAFFIC GRIDLOCK AT KOLOWARE/PATANI CHECKPOINT

Motorists plying the express road around the Police and Customs checkpoint near Koloware have been experiencing severe traffic congestion, caused by large potholes and breakdowns of trailers navigating the damaged stretch. The situation was worsened by the ongoing road construction in the area, with vehicles struggling to pass through Patani as a result.

Upon the matter being brought to his attention, Hon. Isaac Aguanah moved swiftly to address the problem, directing that stone base be laid to fill the potholes and restore free flow of traffic along the expressway, even though it does not fall under his jurisdiction.

Comr. Bebeteidoh Alaowei Williams (Supervisor, Environment) was assigned by the Council Chairman to supervise the exercise, which has since brought considerable relief to commuters and transporters using the route.

Thanks to our working Chairman for his swift intervention.

EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN DEEPENS INTER-ARM COOPERATION, LEGISLATURE PASSES VOTE OF CONFIDENCE

The Executive Chairman of Patani Local Government Area, Hon. Isaac Aguanah, has once again demonstrated his commitment to efficient governance with the presentation of official vehicles to the Legislative arm, the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), and the Head of Personnel Management (HPM).

This latest gesture reaffirms the Chairman's consistent drive to strengthen the operational capacity of key institutions within the Local Government, ensuring that officials are well-equipped to deliver on their mandates to the people of Patani.

In a related development, Hon. Aguanah was present at the Legislative session of the day, where Honourable Councillors representing all wards across the LGA unanimously passed a vote of confidence on his administration. OFFICIAL STATEMENT

Hon. Isaac Aguanah Demonstrates Commitment to the Welfare of Security (Nigeria Army) Personnel in Patani.

The Chairman of Patani Council, Hon. Isaac Aguanah has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of Nigerian Army personnel serving in Patani Local Government Area, in recognition of the critical role they play in safeguarding lives, property, and peace within our LGA.

Hon. Aguanah noted that the sacrifices made daily by our military personnel often in difficult and demanding conditions deserve not only appreciation but concrete support. He emphasized that a secure Patani is the foundation upon which meaningful development and progress can be built, and that the welfare of those who guarantee that security must never be taken for granted.
"Our men in uniform stand between our communities and chaos. Supporting them is not charity, it is a responsibility we owe to every family that sleeps peacefully because of their vigilance," Hon. Aguanah stated.

This gesture forms part of Hon. Aguanah's broader commitment to fostering a stronger, more collaborative relationship between security agencies and the people of Patani, ensuring that those who serve are adequately supported in their efforts to maintain law and order.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
PATANI LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL

The general public is hereby notified of the ongoing environmental exercise along the Koloware/Boys' Model Road to Agoloma axis.

Following the expiration of the 48-hour ultimatum earlier issued, the Council granted an additional one-week-plus grace period to enable affected persons to voluntarily remove sand, gravel, blocks, wood, kiosks, and other materials obstructing the highway.
Regrettably, a considerable number of persons are yet to comply with this directive.

NOTICE:
The Koloware axis has now been cleared. Minor maintenance work is ongoing and will be concluded by tomorrow.
Clearing operations will proceed toward Agoloma.

IMPORTANT WARNING:
Any person whose sand, gravel, kiosk, or materials remain on the road and continue to obstruct the ongoing exercise will be held fully accountable. Such persons act entirely at their own risk, as the Local Government Council shall not be liable for any resulting damage or loss.
The Council appreciates the cooperation of all residents in keeping Patani clean, safe, and orderly.
