I wish to utilize this opportunity to urge the Sons, Daughters, Leaders, and stakeholders of Ogoni to promptly intervene in the crisis unfolding between the Uegwere-Boue and Yeghe communities.

Having personally contacted the Chairman of Khana Local Government, I recommend connecting with the Chairman of Gokana to urgently convene a security meeting.

This matter extends beyond Uegwere-Boue and Yeghe, affecting Ogoni as a whole.

Every crisis has a root cause and solution; thus, collective efforts are necessary to prevent escalation.

The involvement of all relevant security agencies is crucial, and it is imperative that everyone participates in quelling this crisis. Ultimately, lasting solutions can only be achieved when leaders from both Local Government Areas take the initiative to bring stakeholders together.

Following a productive engagement with security agencies as law-abiding citizens, we collectively agreed to grant the NDDC management a deadline of Friday, 29th May 2026, to resolve the issues surrounding the relocation of the Electrification Project from BAA-LUEKU Khana LGA to OBIO AKPOR.

We believe this timeframe is sufficient for NDDC to address the challenges associated with the project's relocation.

With the last working day being Friday , and considering NDDC's significant event scheduled in Port Harcourt City, I humbly appeal for a resolution to this matter as previously agreed upon.

While we advocate for peaceful resolution as non-violent individuals, we will pursue justice for the BAA-LUEKU Community.

Notably, we have identified numerous abandoned NDDC projects in Ogoni communities; however, we plead specifically for the restoration of the BAA-LUEKU electrification project . Friday 29th deadline, no extension . After Friday, we will exercise our constitutional rights to express our grievances.

NDDC Interacted with my security team yesterday, and Said they are looking for the award letter of the project , laughable, this week will reveal the truth.

Today, I participated in the Action Alliance Rivers South-East Direct Primary held at Nortem Town Hall in Bori, Khana LGA, alongside party executives and stakeholders.

Honestly, I never intended to contest the Senate bye-election scheduled for 20th June, 2026. However, I was convinced by the demands and calls of the oppressed and misrepresented people of the district to step forward and complete the mission at the Red Chamber.

At the end of the primary, I was officially declared a winner, and I sincerely appreciate the confidence reposed in me by party leaders, delegates, and supporters.

As a member of over five international-based organizations, I have built valuable connections and gained the experience needed to represent our people and attract development through negotiations with companies and investors that can drive job creation and economic opportunities across Rivers South-East.

My vision is simple: to attract development, empower our youths, create opportunities, and give our people a stronger voice at the national level. All I ask for is your support, and in return, I will work tirelessly to make our people captains of their own future.

Together, we will renew hope, strengthen democracy, and build a stronger, united, and prosperous Rivers South-East Senatorial District.

Fabeke Douglas.

The Niger Delta Development Commission ( NDDC) was established to address the challenges of Development in the Niger Delta communities including Ogoni communities which are part of the Niger Delta Region.

I may not have the time to delve into other marginalisation of the commission against the Ogoni communities ,but this very particular error must be corrected.

I'm making it public because I want everybody to see to the end of this matter.

Today I have engaged the police and the DSS to notify them for our peaceful solidarity protest against the relocation of the Electrification project from BAA-LUEKU Khana Local Government to IGWE ROAD,RUMUOWA, OBIO/AKPOR LGA while we are still waiting for an official report from the securities.

I have received several negative information about this project, but I want the commission to address this issue officially and relocate back the project to BAA-LUEKU.

We have Started registering notable leaders across Ogoni and sympathisers across Rivers State who are ready to join the mission.

25th of May is the day . During my visit to the commission today ,I have already informed the securities about our coming, while some of them express sadness about the Kind of thing going on within the commission. There is still time for them to answer us . We are ready to go extra mile to get justice for BAA-LUEKU Community.

*Address to the Rivers State Senior Citizens Forum on the Way Forward for the 2027 General Elections*

Today, I had the honour of attending an interactive session with the Senior Citizens of Rivers State to discuss the way forward for the 2027 General Elections.

In my remarks, I emphasized that in any functional society, those who have dedicated the most productive years of their lives to public service must not be reduced to begging for welfare and survival.

Government has a duty to pay pensions, gratuities, and other entitlements promptly and without prompting. Our senior citizens should never have to wait for protests, agitation, or public outcry to receive what is rightfully theirs. Their welfare is a responsibility of the state, not a favor.

I also appealed to our fathers and mothers not to allow themselves to be used as instruments of electoral bribery. Votes must not be sold to politicians who only remember the people during election season. As custodians of family and societal values, our senior citizens remain vital agents of positive change.

The values we instill in our homes shape the society we live in. It is my conviction that we must build an egalitarian society where our children are properly mentored, disciplined, and guided to uphold societal norms, moral integrity, and civic responsibility.

I am deeply grateful to the Rivers State Senior Citizens for conferring on me the Award of Excellence in Minority Rights Advocacy and Humanitarian Service. I receive this recognition not as a personal accolade, but as a call to do more in service to humanity.

Thank you, and may God bless you all.

My Vision and Legislative Agenda for Rivers South East Senatorial District.

A Commitment to Service, Development, and Dignity:

1. Introduction:

I have observed the challenges that have affected our district under successive administrations. I acknowledge the efforts of past Senators, as every leader serves according to their unique calling and assignment.

My decision to contest the forthcoming bye-election is not to criticize or condemn those who have served before me. At this time, I pay tribute to the track record of the late Senator Barinadaa Mpigi. His passing has left a significant vacuum. May his soul rest in perfect peace. We will always remember his dedication, and I recall with gratitude how we worked together behind the scenes to advance the establishment of the Federal University of Environment and Technology, FUET.

My goal is to build on this foundation and deliver measurable impact across the seven Local Government Areas of Rivers South East.

2. Key Priority Areas:

I. Youth Empowerment and Job Creation:
Drawing on my experience as a member and coordinator with international organizations, investment forums, the UN Economic Commission for Africa, and the African Sustainable Development Agency, I will establish a targeted program for youth empowerment and job creation. We already have the research and templates to identify the most effective methods. My target is to create sustainable employment pathways for thousands of young people across the district.

II. International Job Placement Partnerships:
The United Mission for Rural and Urban African Community Empowerment has secured a job placement agreement with one of Europe’s largest agricultural organizations. Upon assuming office, I will work with government structures to leverage this partnership and place over 500 qualified graduates into these programs.

III. Healthcare Revitalization:
In collaboration with international organizations, the Rivers State Government, and the Federal Governm
