TWO YEARS OF IMPACTFUL LEADERSHIP AS MEMBER REPRESENTING BONNY CONSTITUENCY IN THE RIVERS STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY
To the glory of God, today marks my two years anniversary as the Member representing Bonny Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly. Beyond being my second anniversary, it also doubles as our mid-term day as a Parliamentarian.
Since June 5, 2023 when the State House of Assembly was proclaimed after a rigorous election that had the people of Bonny LGA freely offering their collective mandate to me, we have been up and about towards fulfilling our campaign promises.
I will be insincere if I claim it has been a rollercoaster experience. As we are all aware, there has been challenges, limitations and distractions that attempted to impede our wheel of progress.
Regardless, with God on my side, and with the overwhelming support of my people, I'm here today with notable milestones after reflection on my midterm assesment.
WHAT WE ARE DOING WITH THE MANDATE
Today, we have been able to key the Bonny Local Government Area into the limelight of state relevance. At the moment, the Bonny General Hospital is undergoing intensive renovation and work has resumed at the Bonny National Grammar School.
We have been intentional in the effort to build a political bridge that will strongly connect Bonny LGA and the state for the interest of our collective good.
As a result, I can attest that we are no longer on the back sit so far as Rivers State is concerned and there are spirited assurances of more dividends for Bonny LGA from the state.
Amidst the distractions, we are still on the journey of impactful leadership. We are two years into the first tenure and we can attest that power has been giving to the people of Bonny. Although, we may not be where we want to be, but we are not where we used to be and we are strongly committed to do more.
It is on this note that I wish to confirm that as a Legislator who was sent to represent the Constituency and attract benefits to Bonny LGA, I have personally enjoyed the successful collaboration of the Executive Arm under the able leadership of the Governor, His Excellency, Amaopusenibo Sir Dr Siminialayi Fubara, GSSRS.
For this, I'm grateful and do pledge my earnest commitment to reciprocate the gesture by strategically supporting the Governor and the executive arm when the need arises for the ultimate good of Rivers State. It should be Rivers first at all times.
To be more specific on what we have been doing with the mandate of Bonny Constituency in the last two years, the following are some of my modest achievements, thus;
