This is The Archives — where raw feelings are translated into words. 🖤📜"

Dear reader,
Today I realised something
The reason why people lose themselves is because they're never given the room to express themselves. So they shrink , they grovel ,until all that's left of themselves are bits and pieces of who they are.

The mind is quieter than we give it credit for, and louder than we know how to handle.
Change what you feed it, and you change what it builds.
That's the whole secret, really
Change your mind, change your life. ❤️

Patiently waiting
For the day
When my voice loses its sound — when I no longer know how to speak my heart.

When my heart loses its rhythm — when caring doesn't come as naturally.

When my soul becomes a void — when I feel disconnected from myself.

When my body embraces the cold — when warmth and closeness become difficult.

When I become entirely numb — when I stop responding the way I do now.

There'll come a time
When you have to reach out
Into the darkest place
To seek out a soul
Could be a friend, partner , family member
When that time comes
You'll have to ask yourself
Are my hands long enough?
Would my strength be enough?
Would my soul still remain?
Would I be willing to give my all?
I'm just saying 🫠
Shalom.

I've mastered the art
Of sinking beneath my own feet.
Of shrinking my words.
Of standing without a voice.
I've learnt to kiss the earth,
To bend and break,
To hold back,
To lose my voice,
To grovel.
I've mastered the art.

I wrote this the only way I knew how — trying to hold something that refuses to be held. This one's for anyone who's watched death take the heat out of a room they used to call home.
□□□□□

Death is so cruel
It comes unannounced and wrecks you
Oh how its cold hands roam your body
Searching for the heat inside
It quenches every flame, every flicker
It hollows out your zeal to live
Your heart dries up
Your soul no longer cries
It just goes silent
Your body no longer understands pain
The new language you speak becomes silence
You're numb and torn apart
Even these hands, that have written grief before,
cannot hold this one

Bare, Yet Unseen

I could bare my soul, but it wouldn't be enough.
Your heart doesn't understand
the melodies from my womb.
My songs are distorted to you,
like clanging cymbals.
So I stood bare,
but you saw nothing
So I picked up my fragments
and buried you in the dirt

Calm breeze
Soothes my skin.

Staring at you,
I find relief.
You abate my fears
And calm my soul.

I'm at peace with you.

The irony?
You're not here.

I do not see you.
No, I cannot see you—
Not because you're dead,
No, you're just far away.

I yearn for you,
Yet I cannot reach for you.

So all I'm left with
Is the peace
That your memories bring.

The irony of grief
One day , you’re sunshine
And the next ?
Back on the floor
Curled up and broken
Heart cut to shreds
Eyes burning yet refusing to hold back
You'd reach out
Trying to grab onto someone or something - a hand , a soul
Yet you can't feel anything
Just the emptiness inside you
In that single moment
You realise where you are and what you are
At rock bottom
An empty shell
Sigh.
