Remo is more than a geographical expression. Remo is a people bound by a proud history, shared values, resilience and a collective aspiration for a stronger and more prosperous future.

As representatives of the people, our responsibility is to translate the mandate entrusted to us into measurable development, stronger communities and lasting impact. This is the essence of purposeful representation: identifying the needs of our people, pursuing the right interventions and ensuring that development reaches the communities that need it most.

That commitment is reflected in the infrastructural projects and interventions being pursued across Ikenne, Sagamu and Remo North.

From the construction of the Ewu-Oluwo Road in Sagamu, to the renewed work on the Igbosoro Bridge at Odokekere, Igode, the Odokekere axis road, and the 105kW solar mini-grid project at the Muhammadu Buhari Mother and Child Hospital, Iperu, we are advancing interventions that respond to the real needs of our people.

The Iperu solar mini-grid is particularly significant because reliable electricity is critical to effective healthcare delivery. It represents our commitment to supporting modern and sustainable infrastructure that strengthens essential services and improves lives.

These are not merely roads, bridges or power projects. They are investments in connectivity, commerce, healthcare, mobility, economic opportunity and the future of our people.

Our approach is clear: development must be visible, impactful and sustainable. We will continue to identify gaps, pursue strategic interventions and support projects that improve the quality of life across our constituency.

There is still much to be done, but the direction is clear and the momentum is strong.

Our people are our priority.
Our development agenda remains firmly on course.
And the Remo we envision is within reach.

Together, let us continue to build a Remo that is stronger, better connected, more resilient and prepared for the opportunities of tomorrow.

May our communities continue to enjoy peace, progress, prosperity and sustainable development.

Have a peaceful and fulfilling Saturday.

The project comprises the construction of a new road with drainage channels on both sides, designed to improve accessibility, address water management challenges and provide durable infrastructure that will serve the community for years to come.

Hon. Elegbeji was represented at the flag-off ceremony by Madam Kemi Johnson, who spoke on her behalf and conveyed her commitment to the successful delivery of the project and continued development of communities across the constituency.

Speaking on behalf of Hon. Elegbeji, Madam Kemi Johnson said the construction of the Ewu-Oluwo Road reflects her commitment to responding to the infrastructure needs of constituents and facilitating projects that have direct impact on the people.

WORK IN PROGRESS: IGbosoro Bridge at Odokekere-Igode Gets New Lease of Life

What was once an abandoned bridge is gradually becoming a renewed pathway for the people of Odokekere, Igbosoro and Igode.

Construction work is ongoing on the Igbosoro Bridge, following the return of contractors to site.

For the residents who have lived with the challenges created by the abandoned bridge, the ongoing work represents more than construction. It represents relief, renewed hope and a return to easier movement.

“We have waited for this for a long time. We are happy to see the workers back on site because this bridge is very important to our community.”
— Resident, Odokekere

“The condition of the bridge has affected movement and our daily activities. Seeing the work progressing gives us hope that things will soon become easier for us.”
— Resident, Igode

“This road connects people and communities. When the bridge is completed, it will make a big difference to farmers, traders, motorists and other residents who use this route.”
— Community member Igbosoro

"I can testify to this new development. Contractor has been remobilized to the site, and construction work has commenced. This will give a great relief to we the residents of this community, thank you Hon Elegbeji."
— Wasiu Babatunde Adediji

The ongoing rehabilitation is part of my commitment to ensuring that important projects that directly affect the lives of our people receive the attention they deserve.

I had earlier promised that the development legacy of my predecessor, the late Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga, fondly known as Ijaya, would remain a priority.

Today, we are seeing that commitment take shape.

The work is ongoing, and we will continue to monitor its progress.

For me, development is not just about announcements. It is about projects that people can see, use and feel the impact of.

From abandonment to action.
From promises to progress.
From legacy to continuity.

HON. DR. PRINCESS ADESOLA AYOOLA-ELEGBEJI FELICITATES WITH MUSLIM FAITHFUL ON EID MAULUD

Dear Muslim faithful,

I warmly felicitate with our Muslim brothers and sisters in Remo Federal Constituency and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid Maulud, commemorating the birth of the noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

This sacred occasion is a reminder of the values of peace, compassion, humility, patience, tolerance and peaceful coexistence which the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) represent.

The Qur’an reminds us:

_“Indeed, Allah commands justice, excellence and giving to relatives, and forbids immorality, bad conduct and oppression.”_
Qur’an 16:90

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) also taught:

_“The merciful are shown mercy by the Most Merciful.”_
Sunan al-Tirmidhi

As we celebrate, may we reflect beyond the festivities and renew our commitment to living together in peace, supporting the vulnerable, promoting unity and building communities where every person can thrive.

The Prophet (SAW) was also described in the Qur’an as “a mercy to the worlds” (Qur’an 21:107). This message of mercy remains deeply relevant to our communities today.

I therefore encourage us to use this occasion to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, reject division and continue to work together for a more peaceful, prosperous and united Remo Federal Constituency.

May Almighty Allah accept our prayers, bless our families, strengthen our communities and grant our nation lasting peace, stability and prosperity.

Eid Maulud Mubarak!

A NEW WEEK, A CLEARER PURPOSE, A STRONGER REMO

Dear constituents of Remo Federal Constituency,

As we step into another week, I encourage everyone across Ikenne, Sagamu and Remo North to remain energized, focused and optimistic.

We are in a season that calls for responsibility, unity and clear vision for the future. Let us remain committed to the progress we have started, support initiatives that bring real development to our communities and keep our eyes on the bigger picture.

Set achievable goals. Stay disciplined. Make every day count. And above all, let us continue to build a Remo where progress is sustained and opportunities are expanded for everyone.

I also urge everyone to remain security conscious and vigilant. Please look out for one another and report suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.

Our commitment to a stronger and more prosperous Remo remains unwavering.

May this new week bring peace, fresh opportunities, productive engagements and greater progress to every family across our constituency.

Have a blessed and fulfilling week.

HON. DR. PRINCESS ADESOLA AYOOLA-ELEGBEJI REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO IJAYA’S LEGACY AS CONSTRUCTION RESUMES ON IGBOSORO BRIDGE

The Media Office of Hon. Dr. Princess Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji, Member, House of Representatives, representing Ikenne, Sagamu and Remo North Federal Constituency, is pleased to announce the commencement of work on the long-abandoned Igbosoro Bridge at Odokekere, Igode.

From the beginning of her tenure, Hon. Dr. Princess Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji made a clear commitment to the people of the constituency that important development projects initiated under the late Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga, fondly referred to as Ijaya, would receive the attention they deserve.

The Odokekere-Igbosoro-Igode Bridge is one of such projects.

For years, the abandoned state of the bridge has created difficulties for residents, motorists, farmers, business owners and other road users within the Odokekere and Igode axis. The condition of the bridge has affected movement and made daily activities more difficult for communities that depend on the route.

Recognising the importance of the project to the people, Hon. Dr. Princess Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji has continued to pursue its rehabilitation as part of her broader commitment to ensuring that projects with direct impact on the lives of constituents are not left unattended.

We can now confirm that contractors have commenced work on site.

The development is another practical demonstration of the lawmaker’s commitment to continuity, responsible representation and people-centred development. Rather than allowing important projects to remain abandoned, the Honourable Member is working to ensure that viable projects are revived and delivered for the benefit of the people.

The intervention also reflects her respect for the development efforts of her predecessor, Late Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga. The legacy of Ijaya remains an important part of the constituency’s development story, and Hon. Dr. Princess Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji has consistently demonstrated that continuity should go beyond words. It must be backed by action.

The commencement of work on the Igbosoro Bridge at Odokekere-Igode is therefore not merely about a bridge. It is about restoring connectivity, improving movement, supporting economic activities and responding to the genuine needs of the people.

As work progresses, the people of Ikenne, Sagamu and Remo North can be assured that Hon. Dr. Princess Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji remains focused on delivering meaningful representation and ensuring that the interests of the constituency remain a priority.

This is continuity with purpose.
This is representation with results.
This is the Elegbeji commitment to Remo development.

Hon. Dr. Princess Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji, on behalf of the good people of Remo Federal Constituency, warmly welcomes Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to Sagamu, Remo Land, for the commissioning and official launch of the Southwest Zonal phase of the National Community Food Bank Programme.

The arrival of Her Excellency for this important programme is a significant moment for Remo and the entire Southwest. It further demonstrates the commitment of the administration of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to policies and programmes that directly impact the lives and welfare of ordinary Nigerians.
