Another Milestone Achieved! 🎓

I am delighted to announce my successful graduation from the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, having completed the Policy and Strategic Leadership Course (PSLC 58) after an intensive four-week programme.

My sincere appreciation goes to His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, Alex C. Otti OFR, Executive Governor of Abia State, for his unwavering commitment to capacity building and for continually encouraging government appointees to develop themselves for greater service.

I also extend my heartfelt gratitude to my mentor, Pastor David Ogbueli Pastor David Ogbueli, for his invaluable guidance, encouragement, and support throughout this journey.

This achievement is another step towards serving Abia State with greater excellence, knowledge, and strategic leadership.

ABIA CELEBRATES CREATIVITY AT THE CANVAS & CULTURE ARTS FESTIVAL

Yesterday marked another historic moment for Abia State as the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, in collaboration with The House of Crystal Empire, successfully hosted the "Canvas & Culture Arts Festival: Defining Us" in celebration of World Arts Day.

The festival brought together students from various secondary schools who showcased their exceptional artistic talents through a creative drawing competition. Winners were rewarded with cash prizes, while other participants received certificates of participation and consolation prizes, encouraging the next generation of creative minds.

His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, Executive Governor of Abia State, was ably represented by the Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, accompanied by his wife. The event also attracted Commissioners, Special Senior Assistants, traditional representatives, cultural dance troupes, legendary entertainer Paulson Kalu, school representatives from primary to tertiary institutions, artists, creatives, and other distinguished guests who came together to celebrate the richness of Abia's arts and cultural heritage.

As SSA to the Governor on Entertainment and Tourism, I commend the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy and The House of Crystal Empire for organizing this remarkable festival. Together, we will continue to promote creativity, preserve our rich cultural heritage, and position Abia State as a leading destination for arts, culture, tourism, and the creative economy.

A FINAL FAREWELL TO A SCREEN LEGEND

Honouring a legacy, celebrating a life well lived. Dr. Martins Okey Justice E (SSA to Governor on Entertainment and Tourism Abia State) joins family, friends, and the entertainment community in Arochukwu to pay final respects to a cherished Nollywood icon, a beloved son of Abia and a respected figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Though saddened by his passing after a courageous battle with kidney cancer, we celebrate a life that touched many hearts through talent, dedication, and service to the creative industry.

His contributions to Nollywood and the entertainment sector will remain a lasting legacy and an inspiration to upcoming generations of actors and entertainers.

As we bid him farewell, we pray that God grants him eternal rest and gives his family, loved ones, and the entire entertainment community the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

WHEN LEADERSHIP MEETS COMPASSION - "No Abian Left Behind"

The Office of the SSA on Entertainment & Tourism, Abia State, is pleased to announce that His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, Alex C. Otti Executive Governor of Abia State, has graciously taken over the medical expenses of one of Abia's legendary Nollywood actors, Mr. Sunny Macdon, who has been battling prostate cancer for some years.

This compassionate gesture once again demonstrates the Governor's commitment to the welfare of Abians and his deep concern for members of the creative and entertainment industry.

The Office of the SSA on Entertainment & Tourism sincerely appreciates His Excellency for this noble act of kindness and support. We pray for the speedy recovery and restoration of good health for Mr. Sunny Macdon.
