I had the privilege of joining fellow stakeholders, delegates, and party faithful at this landmark gathering that has repositioned our great party for the future.

The convention was not just an event—it was a strong statement. It clearly demonstrated that internal democracy, transparency, and inclusiveness are firmly rooted within the Labour Party. The peaceful and well-organized process reflected effective leadership, strategic coordination, and a shared commitment to unity and progress.

The emergence of the 34-member National Working Committee marks a significant milestone, showcasing a balanced and nationally representative leadership structure across all geopolitical zones—an essential foundation for strengthening unity and national acceptance.

The presence and active participation of distinguished personalities, including Her Excellency, Mrs. Betty Akeredolu, further underscored the party’s growing credibility, diversity, and national relevance.

This initiative directly addresses the long-standing challenges of poor access, quackery, and unsafe medical practices, especially in rural communities.
