BREAKING: Kogi-born General W. Shaibu Appointed New Chief of Army Staff

The Nigerian Army has a new Chief of Army Staff, Major-General W. Shaibu, from Kogi State. General Shaibu brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served as Theatre Commander of Operation HADIN KAI, leading counter-terrorism efforts in the northeast.

During his tenure, General Shaibu achieved significant successes, including:
- Neutralizing over 567 terrorists
- Recovering large caches of arms and ammunition
- Rescuing over 2,225 civilians

A proud son of Kogi State, General Shaibu hails from Ofu Local Government Area. His appointment is a testament to his dedication and service to the nation.

We congratulate General Shaibu on his new role and wish him success in leading the Nigerian Army.
