DISTRIBUTION OF BIOMETRIC ID CARDS TO BONAFIDE OYES VOLUNTEER CADETS
The following procedure shall be adopted in distribution of the Biometric ID cards.
Please NOTE that the Biometric ID Cards will serve as the only authentic evidence of membership of OYES now (or in the future) for all benefits accruable to either serving or discharged OYES Cadets. It is in the best interest of all OYES Cadets to complete the process.
1) OYES Cadets are to start by going on-line to www.oyes.org.ng to correct their names and print their biometric ID cards data slips. This should be done from Wednesday 15th October 2014 till Wednesday 29th October 2014.
2) Note that the corrections made will be used in printing the ID cards.
3) Mentors are to issue ID Cards ONLY to Cadets who present evidence of full registration on the OYES website and submit ‘OYES DATA SLIP “, the authentic printouts from the site showing the Cadet’s details. This authentic data slip has water mark and other security features on it. Photocopies are not allowed.
4) Mentors shall account for the cards issued to them by Project Manager with the authentic printouts from the website for each Cadet. Mentors are to exercise duty of care and ensure the ‘OYES DATA SLIP’ submitted by each Cadet under them is authentic.
5) After completing the process below, OYES CADETS are to start collecting their ID cards from Mentors from Monday 1st Dec 2014 to Monday 8th Dec 2014
i) As earlier instructed, OYES Cadets are to go on-line to www.oyes.org.ng to fill their ID CARD Data form :
NOTE: EVERY CADET REQUIRES VALID AND UNIQUE OYES NO AND VALID PASSWORD to amend and /or print the DATA SLIP.
ii) On www.oyes.org.ng site, Click ‘’E-PORTAL ‘’ AND then on the next screen click “OYES 2013 – 2015” BATCH ID CARD PROCESS”
iii) This will take you to the LOGIN page where you do the following:
a) Select your Local Government
b) Enter your OYES number (eg for 8OYES42, enter the digit ‘42’ only )
c) Enter the password that was issued to you when you registered for the Biometric ID card originally.
( Note if you have forgotten your password YOU CAN RETRIEVE IT by following the instruction on the right side of same page you are on ( or by simply going to the site http://portal.oyes.org.ng/idcard/login.php )
You will be asked to select either to have the password sent to your phone number ( used by you when you registered on the site) OR by the e-mail address ( used by you when you registered on the site)
If you are unable to still retrieve your password after trying above, you will have to go to OYES Head Quarters to retrieve it from the Project Manager. It will NOT be given on phone or to third party.
iv) When you log in with your OYES NUMBER and PASSWORD , you will be welcome with your details on the DATA SLIP. Please click on “SAVE DATA” if there are no errors you wish to correct in your name. On the next screen after saving, please click on “PRINT COPY” to print your data slip.
v) If you have errors to correct on your name, please click “EDIT DATA ” and make the corrections. Then click “UPDATE DATA” after the correction. You will receive a message to check back in 24 hours to print the “DATA SLIP”. Please return to print the data slip after 24 hours.
vi) Finally, when instructed, print out your form and submit this printout to your Mentor to collect your biometric ID card and sign for collection.
vii) If the name displayed is not yours, or you are unable to log in, please ensure you have not used someone else’s details. If the OYES number and password used are yours and you still have problems, please report to ID Project Manager at OYES head office
Please NOTE that the Biometric ID Cards and data collected in this process will serve as the only authentic evidence of membership of OYES now (or in the future) for all benefits accruable to either serving or discharged OYES Cadets.. It shall also be used for continuous validation for payment of OYES stipends. It is in the best interest of all OYES Cadets to complete the process
