IGBOMINA YOUTH ASSEMBLY SECURES BOARDING PASS IN NASA-ARTEMIS II ORION SPACECRAFT HISTORIC MOON TRAVEL

Igbomina Youth Assembly under the Chairmanship of Engr. Gbenga Ajibola finally books a slot with the National Aeronautics and Sapce Administration (NASA) in the historic 685,000miles Artemis-II Orion Spacecraft (Round the Moon) journey.

Since the launch of the project, the media and publicity secretary Igbomina Youth Assembly has been monitoring the development to book a space for the Assembly.

The media and publicity secretary of the Assembly noted, "Igbomina Youth Assembly is the first community based Youth organisation, globally to indicate interest and attain this feat. This development, therefore, is unique and worth celebration. "

The Chairman of Careraker Committee, Engr. Gbenga Ajibola commended the media and publicity sub-committee and dedicated this feat to the Igbomina Youth and Igbominaland at large.

The Orion Spacecraft will be launched in 2026 at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The 4-man team are Reid Wiseman (Commander), Victor Glover (Pilot), Christiana Koch and Jeremy Hansen as Mission Specialists.

IGBOMINA YOUTH ASSEMBLY HAILS OJULARI'S APPOINTMENT ....Retells the Igbomina Can-do Spirit

The can-do spirit of the Igbomina people has again been reiterated by the leadership of Igbomina Youth Assembly led by Engr. Gbenga Ajibola at Igbomina House, Ganmo, Kwara State.

This was contained in a congratulatory message made available to the general public earlier today, on the appointment of an Igbomina man by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, as the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Bayo Bashir Ojulari.

"I warmly congratulates you on your well-deserved appointment as the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL. As a full-blooded Igbomina man, your achievement is a confirmation of your dedication to service, professionalism and exceptional leadership qualities.

"As a proud son of the ancient town of Oke Ọdẹ, your accomplishment brings joy and inspiration to the teeming youth in Oke Ọdẹ in particular and Igbomina in general"

Ajibola described this feat as "a shining example of what can be achieved through focus, perseverance and determination"

On behalf of the Assembly, Ajibola wishes him all the best in his new role and look forward to seeing the positive impact he will make at NNPCL.

"May your tenure be marked by excellence, innovation, and growth, reflective the needed impact in oil and gas ecosystem", he prayed

Eid Mubarak: IYAss Charges Muslim Ummah to Sustain Ramadan Lessons

The Muslim Ummah have been charged to sustain the lessons of charity, devotion and goodwill during Ramadan.

This was contained in the message signed by the caretaker Chairman of Igbomina Youth Assembly, Engr. Gbenga Ajibola on the occasion of Eid Mubarak,marking the end of Ramadan.

"I felicitate with the Muslim Ummah all over the world and specifically members of the Assembly for witnessing the end of Ramadan fast. ....I therefore urge you to sustain the lessons of charity,devotion and goodwill that exemplify Ramadan for the development of our immediate community, society and Nigeria at large"

He prayed that we shall all live to witness many more of it in health and wealth.

IGBOMINA YOUTH MOURN AS PROFESSOR WALE SULAIMAN LOOSES MOTHER

Igbomina Youth Assembly received with shock, the passing of the mother of Professor Wale Sulaiman (Alhaja Belawu Akanke Suleiman), whose sad development occured today December 9, 2024.

Engr. Gbenga Ajibola, on behalf of the Caretaker Executive Committee and the entire members of the Assembly took solace in the fact that the Matriarch of the Sulaiman family, Oloworubiose Compound, Ajase Ipo is survived by worldclass neurosurgeon, philatropist and technocrat among other children.

It is the Assembly's prayer that the lord repose the soul of the departed and grant, in abundance to the family, fortitute to bear the colossal loss.

The Igbomina Youth Assembly has described the passing of Mrs. Atoyebi as devastating. This is contained in an early phone call put across to the family by the Chairman of Caretaker Committee, Engr. Gbenga Ajibola after the flash news on a section of social media.

Ajibola, on behalf of the entire Igbomina Youth prayed for the repose of the soul of the wife of our brother 'Bode Atoyebi and that the Lord grant the family, fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

IGBOMINA YOUTH FELICITATE OBA OF AGBEKU ON CORONATION ANNIVERSARY AS ỌMỌ ARẸMU GETS NEW JOB

The Igbomina Youth Assembly has felicitated the Oba of Agbeku, Oba (Dr) Abdulazeez Olushola Agboola Adeshina on his 19th years coronation anniversary.

This was contained in a congratulatory message issued by the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of Igbomina Youth Assembly, Engr. Gbenga Ajibola at the Assembly's Secretariat, Igbomina House House, Ganmo, Kwara State.

He commended the divine grace and wisdom on the life of the Clergy and Academic King, which reflect in the peace the community, Agbeku enjoyed within the nineteen year of the Monarch's reign. It is therefore our prayer that God spare your life for greater positive impact in Agbeku, Ifelodun and Igbominaland at large.

In the same vein, the Oloro of Oro, His Royal Majesty Oba Joel Alotoye Titiloye appointed an Ijomu Oro born and Lagos based politician, entrepreneur and youth advocate, Hon. Toyin Arẹmu as the Chairman, Oro Transportation Committee.

Toyin Arẹmu is the Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor, HE Babajide Sanwoolu on Transportation.

Igbomina Youth Assembly therefore congratulate him on his new assignment which is a testament of his unrivalled commitment to developmental endeavour and can-do spirit.

IYAss Congratulates Mallam Abdulrasheed Atanda Lawal on His Appointment as Chief Security Officer to the President.

Igbomina Youth Assembly a prominent and non-partisan socio-cultural youth group in Igbomina land under the leadership of Engr Jimoh Rasheed Temitope is thrilled to congratulate one of our own, Mallam Abdulrasheed Atanda Lawal, on his recent appointment as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. Mallam Lawal, a proud son of Igbomina land, has always served with dedication and integrity, and this new role is a true honor for both him and all of us in Igbomina land.

We encourage Mallam Lawal to serve the nation diligently in this new capacity as he has been doing in the past, bringing honor and integrity to this role as he provides critical security leadership within the Presidency. We have no doubt that he will make Igbomina land proud and contribute positively to Nigeria’s security framework.

Additionally, we encourage him to collaborate with other relevant stakeholders and public office-holders to address the security challenges in Igbomina land and across Kwara State. We trust that, in his new role, he will contribute to creating a safer environment for our people.

Digital Training and Empowerment: IYAss Appreciate Senator Yisa Lola Ashiru for Empowering Kwara South Youths

Igbomina Youth Assembly a prominent and non-partisan socio-cultural youth group in Igbomina land under the leadership of Engr Jimoh Rasheed Temitope extends our heartfelt appreciation to Distinguished Senator Yisa Lola Ashiru the deputy senate leader of the 10th assembly for organizing the recently concluded digital training and empowerment program for the youths of Kwara South. We are especially grateful for the inclusion of our members in this great opportunity. Thank you sir for your efforts to helping our young people grow and succeed.

We all know we are in a world now where everything is going digital. So, to all the beneficiaries of this training and empowerment, please take the skills you have learned seriously and put them to good use. These skills can open doors for you if you use them wisely. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors and hope you make the most of the gadgets you receive.

We also want to give a big shout-out to the executives of the Kwara South Youth Development Organization (KWAYORG) for the great work they are doing in bringing together all community development youth groups in Kwara South to work together for the development of our lands. Lastly, we plead with Senator Yisa Lola Ashiru to speak up strongly on the floor of the Senate about the rising insecurity in our communities. We need urgent action before things get worse than this. Heartbreak in Igbomina Land: IYAss Mourn Jagun and Demand Immediate Actions Towards Rescuing Olla Kidnapped Victims

Igbomina Youth Assembly a prominent and non-partisan socio-cultural youth group in Igbomina land is deeply saddened by the recent incidents of insecurity in our land. Last week, two people were kidnapped in Olla community in Isin, causing fear and concern among our people. Yesterday, another tragedy struck in Igbaja town when Lukman Balogun popularly known as Jagun, the Aree Ogboni of Kwara state, a prominent member of the Ifelodun security team and respected member of the community, was killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen. This has led to protests by angry youths, who marched in their numbers to the palace of Elese of Igbaja, chanting, “We don’t want Fulani on our land again”. To show their displeasure.

First and foremost, we extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family of Jagun, as well as to the families of those who were kidnapped. This is a difficult time for them, and we want them to know that they are not alone. We are standing with them in their pain and grief.

On this note, the government at all levels, from local, state, and federal must act now. The insecurity in Igbomina land has escalated beyond tolerance, and the government must take responsibility for the safety and protection of its citizens. It is time for them to step up and address the issue of kidnappings and the violent attacks by herdsmen that are causing fear and suffering in our communities. The safety of our people should not be compromised any longer. We need strong, immediate action before more lives are lost.

We plead to all our traditional rulers (Obas) across Igbomina land to take decisive action regarding the presence of Fulani herdsmen in our communities. As the custodians of our customs and traditions, it is their responsibility to look after the welfare and protection of their people. The presence of these herdsmen is not only putting the lives of our people at risk, but it is also affecting the productivity of our farmers and hunters, who rely on the land for their livelihood. Our people are looking up to the Obas for guidance, actions, and protection in these troubling times.
