EDIDIONG UMOETOR, DIRECTOR GENERAL, NDC UNITS CHAMPION, NIGERIA AKA BABANTAN UNITS CHAMPION AND THE STATE PUBLICITY SECRETARY, NDC AKWA IBOM STATE, DURING THE FLAG-OFF OF THE 10 FEDERAL CONSTITUENCIES LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM, ORGANIZED BY NDC UNITS CHAMPION NIGERIA, STARTED WITH UYO FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY.

Coordinators,
NDC Units Stakeholders,
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Press.

Today marks the flag-off of a historic journey. The NDC Units Champion AKA Babantan Units Champion has commenced the 10 Federal Constituencies Leadership Training Program* across Akwa Ibom State, starting right here with Uyo Federal Constituency.
This training is not a jamboree. It is a war room. A strategy room. A building room. We are here to prepare for 2027.

THE THEME
Our theme today is: “Election: The Synergy in Delivering Perfect Results in the 2027 General Election.”
Election is not won by one man. It is not won by noise on social media. Election is won by SYNERGY – when the State, the LGA, the Ward, the Unit, the Youths, the Women, and the Elders all move in one direction, with one message, at one time.
Perfect result means: Win the unit, win the ward, win the LGA, win the Federal Constituency, win the State.

THE ROLE OF UNITS CHAMPION
NDC Units Champion exists to interpret the vision of our leaders and take it to the grassroots. Our job is to build from the unit upward. If our unit is strong, our ward is strong. If our ward is strong, our LGA is strong. That is the structure that delivers victory.

4 KEY PILLARS FOR 2027 VICTORY
As we go into this training, let us commit to 4 things:
a. Mobilization: Take this message to every compound. No voter left behind.
b. Discipline: One party, one voice. Internal crisis kills parties.
c. Data & Voter Education: Know your voters. Protect your votes. Guide them.
d. Reconciliation: Bring everyone on board. 2027 is for all of us.

CHARGE TO LEADERS
To our Chapter Chairmen and Coordinators: You are the generals at the grassroots. What you do in the next few months will determine what happens in 2027. Go back, partner together and replicate this training in your LGAs. Set up planning committees. Be visible. Be accountable.

CONCLUSION
Let history record that when NDC needed structure, we built it. When NDC needed unity, we chose it. When NDC needed victory, we worked for it.
The journey of 10 Federal Constituencies has started in Uyo. Let Uyo Federal Constituency set the pace.

WHY WE MUST REJECT POOR REPRESENTATION IN ETINAN FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY COME 2027

Etinan Federal Constituency deserves effective, accountable, accessible, and people-oriented representation, leadership that understands the challenges facing our people and is committed to transforming their aspirations into tangible results.

As we approach 2027, we must make a conscious and collective decision to reject poor representation and embrace leadership that will genuinely serve the interests of the people.

Barr. Uwem Udofia, candidate for the Etinan, Nsit Ibom and Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), is the man we proudly support as the choice for purposeful, responsive, and result-oriented representation.

WHY WE MUST REJECT POOR REPRESENTATION

1. LACK OF VISIBLE DEVELOPMENT
Our communities deserve meaningful improvements in roads, schools, healthcare, electricity, water supply, markets, and other essential infrastructure.

Our constituency needs strong and effective advocacy for federal projects, employment opportunities, skills-acquisition programmes, empowerment initiatives, educational support, and infrastructure development.

4. YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT AND NEGLECT
Our young people are the future of Etinan Federal Constituency. They deserve opportunities for quality education, skills development, entrepreneurship, employment, and meaningful participation in the economy.

5. LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY
The people deserve transparency and accountability in the management of constituency projects and interventions. Public resources must translate into tangible benefits for ordinary citizens.

6. POLITICS WITHOUT MEASURABLE RESULTS
Representation must go beyond election-day promises. The people deserve leadership that delivers measurable results and can be held accountable for its stewardship.

7. DIVISION INSTEAD OF UNITY
Etinan, Nsit Ibom, and Nsit Ubium constitute one federal constituency. We need leadership that will unite our people, promote fairness, bridge divisions, and ensure that every community receives meaningful attention.

OUR CHOICE FOR 2027

We are not simply looking for someone to occupy a political office. We are looking for representation that will listen, advocate, deliver, and remain accountable to the people.

As we collectively mobilize our strength, energy, focus, and determination toward achieving a resounding victory for our beloved Federal Constituency, I humbly urge each and every one of us to remain steadfast, diligent, focused, and determined in our pursuit of a better future for our people.

Our mission is clear: to liberate our constituency, attract meaningful development, strengthen effective representation, and create a new narrative of progress and prosperity for our people.

Barr. Uwem Udofia, our incoming Member of the Federal House of Representatives, is ready and determined to provide the purposeful leadership that our constituency deserves. AKWA IBOM NDC CHAIRMAN, DR. BASSEY WILLIE CHARGES YOUTHS WING ON MOBILIZATION AND UNITY AHEAD OF 2027

The State Chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, Dr. Bassey Willie, together with the NDC State Youth Leader, Mr. Henry Offiong, today received members of the NDC Youths Wing and charged them on effective service delivery and teamwork.

The meeting was part of ongoing engagements to strengthen party structures and mobilize grassroots support ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

Addressing the delegation, Dr. Willie charged the youths to prioritize effective mobilization, commitment, love and unity within the party. He emphasized that the energy and vibrancy of the youth are critical to delivering victory for NDC across all levels in 2027.

> “The future of our party rests on the shoulders of the youths. I urge you to go back to your units, wards and communities and preach the message of NDC. Let us be united, committed, and ready to serve the people,” the State Chairman stated.

The delegation was led by the State Coordinator, Comr. Wisdom Etuk, together with the State Secretary, Comr. Wisdom Goodhead, and other key officials of the Youth Wing.

Comr. Etuk, in his remarks, pledged the loyalty and readiness of the Youth Wing to work tirelessly to ensure NDC records a resounding victory in 2027. He thanked the State Chairman for his fatherly leadership and continued support for youth inclusion in party activities.

AKWA IBOM STATE CHAPTER

NDC UNITS CHAMPIONS FLAGS OFF LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM ACROSS 10 FEDERAL CONSTITUENCIES IN AKWA IBOM STATE

The NDC Units Champions, Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State Chapter has announced the flag-off of a statewide Leadership Training Program across the 10 Federal Constituencies in Akwa Ibom State.

In a statement issued by the Director General, Mr. Edidiong Umoetor, the program will commence with Uyo Federal Constituency as the pilot on Tuesday 11th August 2026 by 9am, venue is strictly for the participants.
The DG emphasized that the training is designed to equip party leaders with the requisite knowledge in administrative duties, political strategies, and organizational capacity needed to build and strengthen the party ahead of 2027.

> “Leaders must be properly trained to drive the vision of our party. This capacity-building initiative will help us build a stronger, more disciplined and result-oriented party structure from the units upward,”.

The Organization expressed appreciation to the State Party Leadership led by Dr. Bassey Willie, State Chairman, for his exemplary leadership style and the support that has enabled the Units Champions to operate effectively across the state.

NDC Units Champions also unanimously saluted Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Michael Enyong AKA BABANTAN, the most qualified NDC Governorship Candidate, describing him as a great pillar and key supporter in the actualization of the organization’s vision.

According to the DG, this will be the first Leadership Capacity Training being facilitated by the organization for party faithful, as part of efforts to reposition the NDC for victory in 2027.

The organization further called on responsible leaders, businessmen, philanthropists, lovers of NDC, and leaders of respective organizations to partner with the Units Champions as sponsors for the training tour across the 10 Federal Constituencies in Akwa Ibom State.
