BREAKING: Rabiu Kwankwaso has asked his supporters to resign from the ADC ahead of his planned defection to the NDC next week

The former NNPP leader, who joined the ADC a few weeks ago, will join the NDC with Peter Obi, who is also expected to announce his defection soon, as both men will be on the presidential ballot on an Obi-Kwankwaso ticket.

Additionally, all lawmakers who defected to the ADC from the NNPP are expected to announce their resignations from the party as they will all be moving to the NDC. This move is also being discussed with the lawmakers who defected to the ADC with Peter Obi.

Meanwhile, there are last-minute efforts by some of the coalition leaders to halt the planned defections but this is unlikely to be successful as Kwankwaso’s bloc held a meeting with NDC leaders last night to finalise discussions on their planned move.

BREAKING: Senator Marafa has dumped the ADC and defected to the NDC weeks after defecting from the APC to the opposition party due to internal disagreements.

Marafa, who plans to run for governor in Zamfara State, has now joined our great party, the NDC where his political aspirations and idealogy align.

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Kogi State Chapter yesterday, witnessed the entire collapsed of the structure of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) Dekina Local Government Chapter from the local government, ward and polling units into the NDC party.

The event was graced by the NNPP Dekina Local Government Party Chairman Hon Amodu Joseph, the Youth Leader Monday Ajibili, the women Leader Hajia Mariam Suleiman, Other executive members, all their 12 ward Chairmen and their executives.

Also Hon Alidu Ibrahim Toroto led old ADC block to NDC and Hon Sumaila Ibrahim led PDP block to NDC and some strong SDP members.

The usual culture of myself and my Team which is grassroot mobilization, has extensively laid a strong foundation and impact because we are whole heartedly committed and championing the growth of the NDC in Kogi East, Kogi State and beyond ensuring that NDC becomes an household name and major opposition force to be reckoned with come 2027 general elections.

Our continuous engagement and collaborations at the grassroot has been nothing but passion to see that Kogi State is truly liberated.

NDC today, is a party free from all forms of Legal battles and a platform that really want to bring people in positions of power to serve the people and not the other way round.
